As they read the entries, the pages revealed a dark secret that weighed heavy on their hearts.

"Pizarro's men slaughtered an entire village," Juan said, his voice filled with horror. "Men, women, children… they took everything."

"The treasure’s tainted," Maria said, unease settling over the group.

"But we can't ignore its historical significance," Jack countered, torn between the treasure’s value and the atrocities it represented.

Before they could debate further, the sound of footsteps echoed through the cave. Ryder Corporation had found them.

"You'll never leave this place alive," sneered Ryder's leader as his team flooded into the chamber.

The team fought valiantly, but Ryder’s men were stronger, better equipped, and outnumbered them. The situation grew dire as the team found themselves pushed back, cornered.

Just when all seemed lost, Jack noticed a hidden passage concealed behind a pile of rocks.

"Follow me!" he shouted, rallying the team as they made a desperate dash for the exit.

They managed to escape through the passage, but the cost was great. Juan, their loyal companion, was nowhere to be seen.

"We lost Juan," Maria said, her voice cracking, tears welling up in her eyes.

The team mourned their fallen friend but knew they had to press on. Their quest for El Dorado had become more than just a search for gold—it had become personal. As they ventured deeper into the jungle, they encountered increasingly treacherous terrain.
