Feeling the pain from his wrist, Ortega had no choice but to let the matter go and scoffed "ok, I will spare you today little boy" He said as he glared at Luke before walking back to the front of the class to continue his lecture.

"you ok bro" Daniel asked Luke standing next to Luke's desk

"yh, yh, am cool, thanks men....it seems pretty cool to be a Friccs" Luke smiled jokingly at his only friend in Daybreak high, Daniel had been the only one he had ever talked to and related with in this high school, because most of his classmates were bloody racist and this clouded their judgement, for example he himself in terms of appearance was handsome with his tall and slim but well proportioned body and his golden coloured eyes which he had since birth, his looks even surpassed Daniels by a small margin, he was meant to be the school hunk, but the students here do not care about that, the only thing they see is his skin color, hence the ridicule and contempt

"But you this is all your fault why would you come to an all "White's school", you are just begging for trouble" Daniel glared at Luke

"I know.....I know, I just had to come here since it was the best school in terms of academics, and I need a good result for college"

"so bro, which college are you going to.." Daniel asked Luke as he took his seat

"ummm, the non-racist type" Luke chuckled loudly for the nearby students to hear, they all turned back to look at him with disgust, like they were looking at a pest.

"ha ha ha, very funny, but don't blame them actually, because most of the robberies and murders going on in the city are pretty much done by the gangs in the city, and most of them are black.......soo... they hold a grudge" Daniel voice trailed off.

"alright, forget about this,... the college I am going to is Oasis college"

"seriously bro, you want to go to the newly built college, that's where my Dad is sending me to....., I heard it's actually nice, my Father said the college curriculum is different from that of normal colleges, it practically a city, the courses are different, the facilities are not bad,... but the tuition is quite expensive... so umm should I ask my dad to help you..." Daniel added

"ooh, don't worry about that, before my dad's. accident..... he was practically one of the founders of the college, he was the one responsible for the construction, so I am exempted from paying tuition, but I would be responsible for my feeding and clothing that's all" Luke added

"well that's cool, it's settled, then we are going to Oasis college" Daniel shouted wildly, his silly attitude attracted some glares from his classmates, then Daniel leaned towards Luke's face from the back and whispered

"hey Luke do you think they would have casinos in the college"

This is where Daniel's problem comes in, he was practically a gambling addict, if he had the chance he might have sold his Father's house as a stake just to gamble.

"hell no, you are not allowed to go near a casino, that's what caused a problem between me and your Father, he thinks I am "rubbing" off on you" Luke scolded him back

Feeling wronged Daniel decided to change the subject "forget about the casino or probably the school, cause there's a physical test for males if you want to get into the college, but you are so thin and weak Luke, you are like a pile of bones, you seriously have to start working out bro"

"shit, that's true, don't worry I will "try" to go to the gym" just as Luke finished speaking he heard the bell, signifying the end of the day in high school, Luke jumped up and grabbed his bag in a hurry and ran towards the door before turning and said "Daniel I have to go to my dad's firm to collect his rest of his items in the office" he spoke in a hurry, just as he was about it leave the class he heard the the one voice he hated the most

"Mr Mayweather, I said you have detention today, you are not leaving till six today, now get back to your seat" Teacher Ortega grinned evilly

Luke groaned loudly, cursing multiple times in his mind, before heading towards his seat, "So Daniel which course do you plan on taking in the Oasis college"

"since there are only four courses in the college, I would......" before Daniel finished his sentence he was interrupted by Luke

"wait....wait......wait, there are only four courses" Luke was confuse, because his Father never told him that the college only had four courses

Daniel laughed loudly seeing Luke's panicked expression "Relax, the school has a space program course, but yes the college has four courses, but they have branches, the four courses are The Space program, The Construction program, The Combat program and the The Commercial and Technological program"

"what the hell what type of courses are those" Luke added

"Hope you know that the Oasis college is a private college that is in a collaboration with NASA, my dad told me that, one of the founders discovered a new type of mineral in the depths of the earth, my Father said that the mineral they found was the most miraculous type to ever come to existence "

"oooh what's so miraculous about a rock, can it talk" Luke teased Daniel

"Dude I am serious, they said the mineral is the hardest substance in the world, but that's not all, the mineral gives of a weird energy which can at least power a city for a decade without stopping, and that's for just a two feet tall part of the mineral, the original mineral they found was about the size of a car, but the miraculous function of the mineral was that it duplicates any element it finds itself in.

like the experiment the founders tried, they placed a piece of the mineral into a tube filled with oxygen then they sealed the tube, but the tube had a hole where oxygen can be passed out, to their surprise no matter the amount of oxygen sucked away from the tube, it was as if it could never finish, then they tried it for different elements including electricity, hence they created a new type of technological system "

"wow.......but what does that have to do with NASA" Luke was confused at this point

"They said the rock should be a meteorite that came from space and it's most likely to be from Mars, so NASA and the founders of the college decided to create a space program, to go on an expenditure to mars, hence the Space program, the Construction program is mainly based on architecture and archeology, it's meant to train the students the way of excavating and building strongholds on mars if the expenditure is successful, and the Commercial and Technological Program is just about business and advancement of technology because the college wants to build a city on Mars so as to ensure steady importation of the mineral so the commercial department is responsible for any form of trading between the city and those on Earth"

"hiss...... it seems the trip to mars is real, but what's the function of the Combat program then" Luke was shocked, his Father never told him about the real objective of the college

Daniel looked around to see if there was anyone eavesdropping, luckily the school period had ended they were the only ones left in the class, even Teacher Ortega had left the class,

"Haven't you heard, NASA found a different type of species on Mars, they said they were in different forms but similar to that on earth and there were even humanoid creatures, but they couldn't see the true identity of the species.... "

"shit, so that means there is indeed life on Mars, the fictional movies are actually real" Luke screamed in shock

"shhhh, don't speak out loud " Daniel covered Luke's mouth with his hand

"This is a top secret information NASA, it has not been made public, it was my uncle in NASA that told my dad about this" Daniel whispered, "So the Combat Department is to recruit strong students and teach them martial arts as a form of protection"

"Martial arts....(hisses).... why can't they just give us a gun, then we blow the brains out of those squeaky little monsters"

Daniel laughed at Luke's ignorance "the reasons why guns are not allowed is that there's a high probability guns won't have any effect on those monsters, because they might have a strong body since they are able to survive in the harsh environment of Mars and we are not sure whether guns would have effect or not"

"But what will we use to fight off those creatures" Luke added

"That I am not sure, but my Dad said they are probably going to create weapons from the mineral they found since it's the hardest substance in existence, but I am sure it will be dope as hell, but what I know is that The Space and Combat Program are compulsory, while the commercial and construction program are not" Daniel paused to take a sip from his bottle of water before continuing

"This is the reason why I said you need to go to the gym, because since you are going to the college you need to be physically fit"

Luke sat there dumbfounded as he watched Daniel ramble on and on, then his expression became weird

"Bro isn't this a suicide mission, there would be a lot of risk, we might even get killed"

Daniel chuckled awkwardly "why did you think my Father is sending me to the college, he is trying to get me out of his life "

Luke's expression became even more strange "So that means the people going to the college will probably be delinquents, or even juveniles, I am sure they would mostly be males" Luke's had the urge to tear up "doesn't that mean that, there will be no beautiful girl, that means no love in college.....ouch" before Luke finished speaking Daniel already smacked him at the back of his head

"shut up bro, we are talking about space and Technological advancement, you are here thinking about women" Daniel looked at him in disgust

"it's easy for you to say, I already suffered in Daybreak high, no romance, I can't let it happen again in college" Luke looked wronged.
