"Are you serious?" I asked. My face lit up with joy. Lee bursted out in laughter "Of course not. Mermaids don't exist" he said while he chocked in spit because he was laughing.
I jabbed his stomach." that's not funny I thought you were serious."
"You're really mad at me?" he looked at me with puppy dog eyes.
"No. I'm not mad but don't do that again " she said "Anyway why aren't you popular. I mean you should have lots of friends because your kinda handsome...you know"
"Why you think I'm handsome. I'm glad you're mesmerized by my looks. Anyway I don't want them as friends and you're my friend... right." he said. The way he looks at me with his puppy dog eyes as if he's a little kid again.
"yeah. I guess you're my friend."I smiled
"how's your little sister anyway?"he grinned
"Well I'm pretty sure she remembers you because she was in love with and said that you were destined to be together"I laughed
"is that so? maybe I should go to your house then" he replied
"you want to go to my house? No you can't" I said surprised.
"Why not? is it something bad"he smirked.
"No! My room's messy and dirty you can't go in my room" I muttered
Lee starts running towards my house. he turns his head "hurry up!"

"Welcome home! Lee is in your room" Mom said. "Seriously"i said angrily
"What do you mean seriously Lee's mom and I are friends and he can come over"she replied
I walked into my room. When I reach the door I hear "Today Brett looked at me. My heart fluttered. His face is so hot. his dark eyes warm my heart. I wish I could touch his lips and kiss them..." I run into my room and push myself against Lee as I try to grab my diary.
"Wow! you're obsessed with Brett."he laughed.
"I know please don't read anymore"i said softly.
"No. See I got bored because you took to long to get here and your diary just happened to be on your desk. "he replied "And I already read all of it". what he read all of it can I drown now. I'm so embarrassed. My face is beet red.
"it's okay. but you know he's never gonna date you. I mean have you seen the other girls he hangs out with there's no way he'll date you."
