Chapter 4- Romeo & Juliet

Melody’s POV

I push my hand against Caleb’s chest, moving him away from me. He raises his eyebrows in surprise. Yes, pretty boy. You finally found someone that doesn’t want to kiss you. You want an award? “Will you go out with me?” Caleb asks, scrunching his forehead and rubbing the back of his neck. God, does he not understand the meaning of word rejection? “No.” I say.

“No?” Caleb repeats. I sighs and pushed the door of the closet to open. I’m ten minutes late for literature now. Thanks a lot Caleb. Hopefully Mrs. Wang doesn’t kill me. I walk down the corridor and Caleb runs after me he catches up to me and put his arms around my shoulder. Dear lord help me not to kill a bitch today.

“What!” I snap. “I have a lit with you, remember? So why won’t you go out with me?” Caleb asks. “Because I don’t want and I don’t like you Caleb. This may be new to you but there’s no way in hell I would ever like you. So stop kissing me.” I command and walk into the literature class.

The classroom goes silent as Caleb and I walk in. “Why are you two late?” Mrs. Wang asked. “Sorry ma’am.” I say and sit down to the available seats next to Caleb. “Well, we are doing Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and you have a project due on Monday to act out a scene that is given to you. As a punishment for you two being late, you two will be acting out the kissing scene in Act 1 scene 5 that nobody else wanted. “What! I have to kiss Caleb in front of the whole class!” What ma’am? I’m sorry I was late I was just stuck in the traffic, please can I swap with one of the other girls in the class?” I lie. I’m desperate, okay. All the girls erupt in shout, begging our teacher to swap me with them. Caleb leans back in his chair and smirk. “Settle down class. No Melody, I’m sorry but you cannot swap partners.” Says in a tone that is final.

I sighed and put my head on my desk. “So, I’ll come to your house tomorrow and we can make our session.” Caleb says. I groan, “Damare [Shut up].”

“Ooh, kinatai hanashi o shite [talk dirty to me].” He whispers and wink. “Okay students, for the rest of the lesson you need to discuss how and when you are going to do your scenes from the play.” Mrs. Wang says. Caleb moves his chair to my table and I groan and proceed to hit my head again at the table several times. “What? You don’t want me alone in your bedroom tomorrow when we have to practice kissing. Just tell your parents, I’m sure they will fine with it.” My eyes widened and I shake my head. “Nope, definitely not gonna happen and I can’t do it at my house.” I say. I’ll come to your house.” I say. “Just come tonight and we can get it over with.” He says.

Caleb’s POV

“Okay, just send me your address.” Melody says. Great. Now she will be in my room alone with me. My dad isn’t home so I’ll be alone with Melody. Perfect. Then I can get her into bed with me. I don’t know why she doesn’t want to kiss me. It just doesn’t make sense. I’m a good kisser, I’m sexy as ****. I just don’t get it.

Now she has to kiss me and she still doesn’t want to. I should ask her why. I mean, what’s the big deal? I’m just going to kiss her, **** her, leave her. That’s it, so what’s the problem?

Today was the first time ever than a girl did not to kiss me back. Instead she pushed me away. What? Why? Ugh, I’m over thinking about kissing Melody. Why am I even thinking about it?

I just need her to get her into bed to win the bet and then I never have to kiss her soft lips again. I don’t know what she does but she really taste good, in fact like a candy floss.

Ugh, I’m still thinking about kissing her. What are you doing Caleb?

I stand up and walk out the class when the bell rings, leaving Melody alone. She’s the first girl rejected me and the only kiss I remember. It was warm and sexy and when she moaned when I bit her it just- shit, I’m doing it again.
