Episode 4

...RIVER DALTON...

Being in your 'almost forty' era isn't as pleasant as people portray it. At my age, people tend to grow older and weaker but hitting the gym six of seven days a week, a balanced diet which has a lot of proteins and nutrients helps a lot. Being fit is something I always preferred and I always imagine the day, I'll hit the gym with my eleven year old.

...LUCAS DALTON...

"Dad, is mom not going to have breakfast with us again? " Lucas asked in his innocent voice that always hurt me.

"Your mom is busy with work in office Luca. "

"Then is she going to come to my football match this Sunday? "

"You'll be foolish if you expect mom to be present in any of our events. She has her attention elsewhere Luca. Shut your mouth and have your food. We're getting late and dad is busier than her. " My fourteen, soon-to-be fifteen year old said while eating the eggs and bacon in front of her.

"You can be respectful kiddo. There is no need to remove frustration on Luca. " I said in a stern voice to which she flinched but maintained her expressionless face like an expert she is. *Guess you get that from me. *

After finishing their breakfast, we leave for our destinations. I drop the kids to school and head to the university as I'm a professor. As I drop them and wish both of them a good day, Daily stops and asks Luca to go further and comes back to the car. She is been acting suspicious since her visit to Emily's parents. I haven't tried talking to her thinking she is going through her phase but this is getting worse.

"I hope you look into the work mom is up to since she has been too busy for family's sake. "

"What do you mean Daisy? "

I yelled but she walked away without answering or looking back. I stayed there in silence trying to process what Daisy said. It was something completely out of the blue and Daisy will never tell me anything until she, herself has witnessed something.

I start my car and drive to the university. I park my car and head towards my schedule. Today my lectures were only till afternoon and it was rare so I decided to pick kids myself in an attempt to have a conversation with Daisy to find out what was going on.

As the day progressed apart from my usual work, my mind was drifting at places where it has never been. One silent warning and my life from past few years flashed in front of me. My wife Emily and I have been together for over fifteen years. Our fling got her pregnant and then we decided to tie the knot. Life has it's own twists and turns. Taking up role as a husband and father seemed more appropriate rather than selfishly thinking about my own life.

Becoming a father was a drastic change for a Bisexual Dom like me who had to completely give up on that part of my life and burry it deep inside my heart. One mistake with my best friend Eric's twin, Emily turned my life upside down. I always used to fool around with Eric and we were never something serious which gave us both chances to explore through different angles.

"Professor Dalton. " a voice brought me out of my turmoil.

"Someone's looking for you. "

I nodded and walked out. I see two men in the reception area sitting. One seemed like a brat and other looked like he was his lawyer, carrying documents. I have never seen these people before and something felt off. The brat looked up to me and his eyes twinkled with something I was not able to figure out. Before both of us could say anything, we were interrupted like the lawyer guy.

"Daddy River. " he said with a squeak..

I froze.
