EPISODE 3

The talent show was a roaring success. Inna and Euan, performing a duet of their own original song, had captivated the audience with their raw energy and undeniable chemistry. The crowd cheered, the judges beamed, and Joana, seated in the front row, watched with a mixture of fury and begrudging admiration.

Inna, basking in the afterglow of their victory, couldn't help but feel a surge of triumph. She had proven to Joana, and to herself, that she was more than just a girl with a penchant for disastrous fashion choices. She had talent, she had passion, and she had Euan.

But Joana, never one to accept defeat gracefully, was determined to reclaim her lost ground. She started spreading rumors about Inna, whispering malicious gossip about her supposed lack of talent and questionable fashion sense. She even went so far as to try to sabotage Inna's audition for the school play, claiming that Inna was "unfit" for the lead role.

Inna, initially hurt and confused, soon realized that Joana's jealousy was a sign of her desperation. Joana, used to getting what she wanted, was panicking at the thought of losing Euan to someone she considered "beneath" her.

"Don't worry about her," Euan said, his voice calm and reassuring. "She's just jealous. She can't stand the fact that you're happy."

Inna smiled, leaning into Euan's embrace. "I know," she said, her voice filled with confidence. "And I'm not going to let her ruin this."

But Joana wasn't giving up easily. She continued her campaign of sabotage, her efforts becoming increasingly desperate and ridiculous. She tried to convince Euan that Inna was a "bad influence," a "rebellious free spirit" who would lead him astray. She even went so far as to stage a "fake" accident, tripping and falling in front of Euan, hoping to garner his sympathy and pity.

Euan, however, was not easily swayed. He saw right through Joana's manipulations, recognizing her for the insecure, attention-seeking girl she truly was. He continued to support Inna, defending her against Joana's relentless attacks.

"She's just a drama queen," Euan said, shaking his head with amusement. "Don't let her get to you."

Inna, however, couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Joana. She realized that Joana's jealousy stemmed from a deep-seated insecurity. Joana had always been praised for her looks and her popularity, but she had never been truly loved for who she was.

One afternoon, as Inna was walking home from school, she saw Joana sitting on a bench, her head in her hands, tears streaming down her face. Inna hesitated for a moment, then decided to approach her.

"Joana," she said, her voice gentle. "What's wrong?"

Joana looked up, her eyes red and swollen. "It's just...it's all so unfair," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "I try so hard, but I always end up losing."

Inna sat down next to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I know it's hard," she said, her voice filled with empathy. "But you don't need to be like everyone else. You don't need to be popular or perfect. You just need to be yourself."

Joana looked at Inna, her expression a mixture of surprise and confusion. "But...but what if I'm not good enough?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Inna smiled, her eyes filled with warmth. "You are good enough," she said, her voice firm. "You're amazing, Joana. You just need to believe in yourself."

Joana stared at Inna, her eyes filled with a glimmer of hope. For the first time, she felt like someone understood her, someone who wasn't judging her or trying to compete with her. She felt a sense of relief, a feeling that she wasn't alone in her struggles.

"Thanks, Inna," she said, her voice a little shaky. "I really needed to hear that."

Inna smiled, her heart filled with a sense of peace. She had done something good today. She had helped Joana see that she was worthy of love and acceptance, just as she was. And maybe, just maybe, their rivalry could turn into something more. Maybe they could become friends.

As Inna walked away, she couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude. She was grateful for Euan, for his love and support. She was grateful for Joana, for teaching her the importance of empathy and understanding. And she was grateful for the journey they were all on, a journey that was teaching her the true meaning of love, friendship, and acceptance.

Next Morning.

Inna woke up feeling like a truck had run over her. Her head throbbed, her throat felt like sandpaper, and her stomach churned with a sense of unease. She had a feeling this wasn't just a case of the common cold.

"Ugh," she groaned, burying her face in her pillow. "I feel like I've been hit by a bus."

Euan, sensing her distress, rushed to her side, his eyes filled with concern. "What's wrong, Inna?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.

Inna, unable to muster the energy to speak, simply pointed at her head, her face contorted in a grimace. Euan, understanding instantly, rushed to the kitchen, returning with a glass of water and a box of tissues.

"Here," he said, handing her the water. "Drink this. And try to rest."

Inna, too weak to argue, took a sip of the water, her throat feeling even more scratchy. She knew she needed to see a doctor, but the thought of leaving her cozy haven of blankets and pillows filled her with dread.

"I'm not feeling well," she croaked, her voice barely a whisper.

Euan, sensing her reluctance, sat down beside her on the bed, his hand gently resting on her arm. "It's okay," he said, his eyes filled with a warmth that made her feel safe and secure. "I'll stay with you. We'll get through this together."

Inna smiled, a weak, watery smile that barely reached her eyes. Euan's presence was a comfort, a balm to her aching soul. She felt a wave of gratitude for his kindness, his unwavering support.

"You know," she said, her voice a little stronger now. "This is a bit ironic. I'm sick, and I'm stuck in bed, while you're out there having all the fun."

Euan chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Fun?" he said, his voice a low murmur. "I'd rather be here with you. You're much more entertaining than any adventure I could have."

Inna laughed, a sound that was more of a cough than a laugh, but it was a laugh nonetheless. Euan had a way of making her feel better, even when she was feeling her worst.

"You're a good friend," she said, her voice filled with sincerity.

Euan smiled, his eyes filled with a tenderness that made her heart flutter. "I'm more than just a friend, Inna," he said, his voice soft and husky. "I'm your boyfriend. And I'm here for you, no matter what."

Inna felt a warmth spread through her, a feeling that was both familiar and exhilarating. She loved Euan. She loved him more than she had ever loved anyone before. And she knew that he loved her too.

But as she lay there, her head pounding, her body aching, she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. She was sick, she was weak, and she was a burden on Euan. She didn't want to be a drag on his life, a constant reminder of her vulnerability.

"Euan," she said, her voice a little shaky. "You don't have to stay here. Go have fun. Go out with your friends. I'll be fine."

Euan shook his head, his expression firm. "I'm not going anywhere," he said, his voice unwavering. "I'm staying here with you. And I'm not going to have any fun until you're feeling better."

Inna smiled, a genuine smile that reached her eyes. She knew that Euan meant it. He was the most selfless, caring person she knew. And she was so lucky to have him in her life.

As Euan settled into a comfortable chair beside her bed, pulling a blanket over his legs, Inna felt a wave of peace wash over her. She was sick, she was vulnerable, but she was loved. She was loved by Euan, a boy who had shown her the true meaning of love, a boy who made her believe in happily ever after.

And as she drifted off to sleep, her head resting on Euan's shoulder.
