CHAPTER 1 : The deep forest

Lillian Lancaster is one of the people who go into the city while others would stay back in the kingdom

She would always go to the cities libraries and bookshops and stop by for tea

Her great-grandmother Brenda had left a mansion at the opposite side of the city for her as a gift before she passed away

The house was decades old

Lillian was on her way to check out the house and see if she will want to live there or not

The house was at the opposite side of the city which takes a while to reach

After reaching Lillian came out of her car and looked at a house which was full of cobwebs and dusts

She walked up to the house slowly as she stared as many memories were in her mind as she walked

She could feel all of her childhood memories play right in front of her

After a while of staring Lillian decided to open the front door and walk in as the floor was a checkered floor

Lillian smiled as she knew her great-grandmother Brenda was old-fashioned

She looked around and saw the big staircase which leads to the second floor which continued with more stairs until it hit the fourth floor

Everything was covered with white cloths after Lillian's great-grandmother Brenda passed away

But the house was full of dust and cobwebs as it has been over many years since the house was used

Lillian started to explore around and saw that there was a whole room dedicated to her Great grandmother Brenda's art works

Lillian started walking around while looking mesmerized by the pleasant art works

After going out of the arts room Lillian ended up going to the middle of the first floor which was the part seen when she walked into the house the area had a comfy rocking chair along with the biggest chandelier

Lillian then decided to go to the big kitchen

Half of the first floor is the kitchen where her great-grandmother Brenda used to bake and cook for her husband before he had passed away

After her husband's funeral Brenda was heartbroken and devastated about the loss of her husband

Which eventually led her to death

Lillian soon went upstairs to the third floor which had the master bedroom and the biggest closet

The third floor had a balcony which was a clear way of seeing the garden that had a pool which was full of leaves that was accompanied by the big forest that goes for miles

Which made Lillian feel like an escape had just been opened for her from reality

The mansion was far away from the city which makes it a perfect escape of reality

Lillian sighed to herself as she stood at the balcony which had a glass short wall where she could lean on as she looked at the endless forest which was full of fog and wetness

The mansion was full of different sized windows that matched perfectly with the balcony

Lillian was still at the balcony Staring at the forest as if someone was watching her from inside the forest

But Lillian didn't know that someone was actually watching her from inside her house ..............................
