"Breaking news: devastation in the East District. The Kara Tower has crumbled to dust in an instant. Over 78 civilians lost their lives, with many others injured. The pressing question on everyone’s mind: where were the heroes during all of this?"
Live Broadcast on Eldoria:
"A mysterious figure appeared out of nowhere in the Earth's East District, performing something beyond comprehension. Could this be the declaration of a war? Or perhaps maybe humanity’s final chapter?"
Live Broadcast on Cyberia:
"The Hero Association remains silent as the public panics. Shockwaves are rippling through our cities, and we have yet to receive any statements. What exactly is happening to the Gate of Celestra? Fear grips us all, as our supposed protectors remain absent."
Live Broadcast on Necrosia:
"Reports from allied realms indicate that a holographic figure has manifested near the fallen Kara Tower (Earth) . We now await a statement from President Valon, who is heading to address our questions live. Stay tuned for further information."
The President at the Press Conference:
President Valon stepped onto the stage, his expression trying to convey calm in the face of turmoil.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I assure you we are working diligently on this matter as we speak. I ask all of you not to panic," President Valon said, his voice steady but his eyes betraying hints of unease. "We will capture the person responsible soon, and peace will be restored."
A journalist quickly stood up. "Mr. President, what about those who died? Who will answer for their deaths? Public safety is your duty—yet those people were left to die. If the heroes had been there on time, lives might have been saved."
The President hesitated, the tension in the room palpable. "I take full responsibility for every death that occurred during this disaster. It is a tragedy, and we will do better .And for the heroes , they were all on there particular missions , I know it sounds like an excuse but that is the truth if only one hero were to present at that time he would have rushed to help .I deeply apologize for the loss , that is all I can do at this very moment "said president while bowing down in the honor of the dead ones. The broadcast continued ;
Another reporter asked. "And what about the mysterious energy coming form the gate? What is the truth behind what the masked man spoke of?"
The President responded, "We have sent a team to investigate and confirm the authenticity of the figure’s claims. Additionally, I have dispatched Foxen's magician squad to mend the seal if necessary. We are taking every precaution, and I truly hope this matter will be resolved without further harm."
Suddenly, one of his secretaries approached, whispering urgently in his ear, "Master Foxen has returned, sir. He’s requesting your immediate presence."
President Valon glanced back at the crowd, his expression more serious. "I must take my leave now. Rest assured, once we have the facts, we will inform you immediately. Stay safe—this is not the end, and we will find a way."
Meeting with Foxen:
President Valon entered the chamber, where Foxen was waiting. His face was grave.
"Tell me, Foxen. Is the seal intact?" the President asked anxiously.
Foxen shook his head, sorrow heavy in his eyes. "I'm afraid not, sir. The mysterious figure told the truth. Three seals were already broken when we arrived. We tried to repair them, but the magic involved... it’s far beyond anything we’ve encountered. Our combined strength couldn’t even begin to match it. We failed."
The President clenched his jaw, a silence falling between them. Foxen continued, "We attempted to create a secondary barrier to support the remaining seals, but even that was rejected. The original magic repelled anything we tried."
The President looked down, eyes filled with a mixture of anger and fear. "We must act quickly before the dark forces of Celestra consume our worlds." He paused. "That aside , where are those two?"
Foxen hesitated before answering, "...that’s the part that worries me the most, sir..."
In Celestra:
Suguru and Satoshi moved cautiously through the ruins of Dios's Castle. Both had strong mental defenses, which kept the dark influence at bay. After hours of navigating the eerie and oppressive atmosphere, they found themselves in front of an ancient, imposing gate.
Suguru raised his arm towards it, extending his hand, his eyes narrowing.
"ZETSU!"
he said, releasing a powerful surge of black energy that enveloped the gate, reducing it to nothingness. As the gate disappeared, a surge of dark energy flooded the space, even more potent than anything they had encountered so far. But despite the ominous atmosphere, they proceeded, with Satoshi using his mana to create a small glowing orb for light.
After moving further inside, they discovered the skeletal remains of a colossal creature.
"These bones... it resembles the dragons from the old legends," Satoshi muttered, carefully inspecting the skeletal remains, his voice filled with joy.
*Come to me... come to me...*
A voice whispered inside Suguru’s head.
Suguru stiffened, looking around. "Did you hear that, Sato?" he asked, his voice low, almost urgent.
"Hear what?" Satoshi replied, clearly confused.
*Come\, child... come to me...*
Suguru frowned, a chill running down his spine. "This isn’t funny, Sato. Are you really not hearing anything?" Suguru pressed, looking at his friend.
Satoshi shook his head, bewildered. "I have no idea what you’re talking about, Suguru. What is it that I didn't hear?."
Ignoring Satoshi for a moment, Suguru's gaze was drawn to something on the ground—a black katana, its blade emanating a dark, almost sentient aura. He approached it, unable to resist.
*Ah\, you've finally found me... Now\, take me... Hold me...*
Suguru blinked, his hand hovering over the blade. "Did this blade just speak to me?" he wondered aloud.
Satoshi, oblivious, smiled. "You found a souvenir? Nice. I’m going to grab something for myself too."
Suguru's breath grew shallow as he reached for the katana, gripping its handle. The blade was pitch black, from tip to hilt. As soon as he held it, black energy began to seep out of it, swirling around him.
'You should have died...' If only you had died instead of them...' You are a curse...' Failure...' Just die already...' Why don't you just kill yourself...' Why were you even born...?' help me...' why didn't you save......'
The voices echoed inside Suguru’s mind, each word like a dagger reopening old wounds, unraveling his mental strength. The darkness around him thickened, taking on a terrifying, intense form. The darkness in his heart which he held inside for too long took over .
*Yes\, that’s it... let the hatred consume you... kill them all... make them pay...*
Suguru's eyes went dull, his voice hollow and cold. "Why, Why, Why me ?..."
---
"Hey, Suguru, check this ou—"
*SMASH!*
Suguru moved faster than a blur, his fist slamming into Satoshi’s stomach. The impact sent Satoshi flying across the room, crashing into a stone wall. He coughed, tasting blood, his eyes wide with shock.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Satoshi shouted, his voice filled with a mix of anger and fear.
Suguru blinked, seeming to come to his senses for a brief moment. "Satoshi, what just—"
*Kill him... kill everyone...don't you remember ?what they did to to ?why hesitate?...*
'If weren't for you , they all would have been alive '
A sentence form a distant past hits his head like a trigger and once more, Suguru’s eyes lost their humanity, becoming vacant, his expression devoid of any feeling. Without hesitation, he lunged at Satoshi, aiming the katana straight at his heart.
"Reikōkan (Frozen Restraint)!"
Satoshi cried, his special eyes—the Mights inherited from Gojou's clan—flaring with energy. The technique froze Suguru in place, but Satoshi knew this would only buy him a moment. Suguru was far stronger.
"Tengoku no Kusari (Heavenly Chains)!"
Mana-infused chains erupted from the ground, binding Suguru's legs, binding him even further.
Satoshi panted, his heart pounding in his chest. "Was he really trying to kill me? but what has happened to him ?Did he lost control again? But how?" he thought, glancing at his friend, whose face showed no recognition.
"Hey, Suguru? Can you hear me? We need to leave!" Satoshi called out, hoping against hope. But Suguru was unresponsive, his gaze locked forward.
It was then that Satoshi noticed the katana Suguru was holding. The blade was engraved with something—a name.
Satoshi’s eyes widened, his heart gripped by a chilling realization. "That name... No, it can’t be..." he whispered, his voice trembling with dread. "Could this truly be the blade from the ancient myths? If it is... then Suguru is in more danger than I could've imagined. This could be his worst nightmare come to life."
He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. "I have to stop him," Satoshi resolved. "If the blade devours his humanity, there may be no turning back. I need to put it back in its sheath before it’s too late." He glanced around, desperation settling in. "But where could the sheath be?"
Just when Satoshi was looking here and there for the sheath , Suguru broke the restraint spell , his face twisted, his voice a chilling echo. "Die... die... they all deserve to die..." he said while charging towards Satoshi with full force.
