"Again and again? Do you want me to repeat? Save Princess Melusine Ondine, try not to let her die.” I slapped my forehead and grabbed him by his shoulder.

"Look here God... whoever you are. What you are requesting from me is very impossible to happen." I said to him.

"Well that's why-

"Do you want to break the flow of the story? We are in a novel, a very famous book. You want to make readers angry!? You want the story to be boring?”

He snorted and sighed. "She's been through a lot, she didn't deserve death."

Of course I don't want Princess Mel to die either but changing the story flow can ruin the story! We are in a novel!

"You're God, aren't you? Why don't you save her yourself? Duh with your God powers?” He made me suffer, he even rolled his eyes. Ugh the audacity really.

"We are not allowed to interfere ok, unless we exist as characters." I glared at him. "But you're reincarnated as Melusine's friend, you can do it for me."

Is he kidding me?! I don't care if he's a God in the world as long as I want to hit him so hard until he loses consciousness.

"I can read your thoughts Herabella." He snickered. I exhaled heavily so he could feel my anger.

"Well, did you forget that he died in your world? You were the first one I saw who died so I also had no choice." Forced ampota.

"The reason why I chose you is that you are the only person who died while reading a book." Wow, is he pointing out my stupidity?

I rolled my eyes until he added something. "I can let you go back to your world alive. But in exchange for Melusine's safety."

My eyes lit up when he said that. Yeah I already died in my world because of my stupid fall down the stairs.

"So my mission is to keep her alive until the story has a happy ending?" I will make sure.

"Yes." I thought, that's kind of fair-fair exchange.

He wants me to save Princess Mel in exchange for my life in the real world.

It does sound fair but my opponents are scary.

"Ok fine, I accept this mission. I don't have a choice, do I?" he nodded. "Ugh... thank you for reincarnating me before the real story begins."

Good thing I can save Mel. It's like the guy who is very close to Prince Gareth, I really should keep him away from him.

I looked at Melusine's guardian God. "Why are you trying to save her?"

He didn't answer and just laughed, like he's the type of person who is mysterious. "I've seen her through thick and thin."

Since he is a God, he's probably like a thousand years old, right? Oh well, I don't care anymore, as long as the important thing is that I can return to my own world.

"Wow you really wanted to go back to your world huh." I just shrugged at his comment, stay here forever? "No, I will be around observing."

"What if... I can't save him?" none of my own question. God Rios' smile disappeared when I asked that.

"Then you won't be going home." I bit my lip and nodded. Little by little he disappeared in front of me.
