VIVIAN

Claire looked at me weirdly in the mirror as she combed my hair well I was all smiley, today I hope to meet him again, and I'll try to him that it is worth it to get to know me, but I was also anxious and scared there isn't much to know about me. I mean I'm a princess who spent most of her time locked up in a palace due to her father's anxiety, I just hope I didn't chase him away." Princess? Are you ok?" Claire's voice pierced through my chain of thoughts, I do love Claire. She was the only person there for me apart from Astar when I was struggling with the loss of my mother, I see her more as a family than a royal servant." Yes... I'm fine Claire don't worry about me, I was thinking about the next novel I will be readying".

Claire slowly stroked my hair, and it certainly felt amazing, her touch was so warm and welcoming, and I knew whenever I had problems I could go to her for comfort."Princess you anything is bothering you, you can tell me". I nodded as I looked at her through the mirror giving her a reassuring smile." Claire, you know if there is anything I'll come to you first", a sudden tweak of guilt was felt inside me. It was because I was hiding the fact that I was going to meet him, but I was going to tell her about him soon.

As the evening came I silently snuck out of the palace and into the secret passage I hoped I get to meet him again as agreed, my hands were sweaty, and I was getting nervous. I pulled the shawl over my head even further, it's now or nothing. As I approached the path that led toward the lake, my heart was racing, and then...just then my eyes met his." You came".

I looked at her slowly approaching closer to me, I didn't say a word not that I didn't want to it was just that seeing her here again did something to me. She removed the shawl from her head allowing her long hair to flow to her waist, she had beautiful hair I just wanted to touch it.

"Hello," her voice was soft and gentle, and it did something to me, looking at her, I could see the uncertainty on her face." Hello, Vivian", she gave me a small smile and gestured me to follow her towards the lake. I followed her without saying a word, she sat by the rocks near the lake and patted the other rock next to her." Come on have a seat right here".

We sat there watching the water ripple as the wind blew by in comfortable silence, it's surprising how one can be comfortable with someone they just met." I'm sorry to ask but what is your name?", I looked at her in surprise. I'm sure we exchanged formalities on our first meeting, I mean I already know her name." Aaron, you may call me Aaron", her eyes lit up as she repeated my name after me. She nodded and continued to stare at the lake in front of her." Aaron are you from Ordian or Azer because each I see you it's in the forest". I wasn't sure whether to answer her question or not, but it's not like many knew me either. "I'm a resident of Azer". She looked wary for a second and I wondered why was that.

"Well I'm from Ordian, I hope, that is not a problem for you" So she is from Ordian, lovely that's even better but it makes me even more curious about her. "Do you know about the incident that happened between the two Kingdoms years ago?", for a second just a split second sadness clouded her face, and then it disappeared. "Yes I know about the incident it affected many but let's not discuss it please".This must be a sensitive topic for her so it's better not to discuss it. Hours passed and we slowly got to knot each other through our conversations. Vivian loved the color purple and gardening, she specifically loved reading romance novels. It is one of her hobbies, she also grew up in a very strict household so it's even a risk for her to be out here in the forest.

"It's getting late Vivian you need to get back", she looked at me pouting but nodded. She got up and placing the shawl back on her head and followed me as we walked to the end of the woods. We stopped near the end of the forest, Vivian was looking up at me and smiled." So....this is it", I nodded. I don't know what came over me, but I raised my hand and brought it up to her cheeks and cupped them, her cheeks were so soft. The color of her cheeks slowly changed into a shade of light pink as I brushed my thumb near her lips, what was wrong with me. I don't know what it is, but it had to stop. I stepped back releasing her cheek and bid her goodbye, I watched her turn her back to me going on her way home.

I ran into my room with my heart beating faster then normal as the memory of him touching my cheek came into mind. No one has ever touched my cheek like that, well Claire has but doesn't count. There was some progress today and I hope it goes this way everyone we me, I want to get to know him and talked to him just like today and just maybe he may begin to like me too.
