Between Control and Passion

Between Control and Passion

Episode 1

"Thailor, Mr. Dimitrei will return from Europe tomorrow," said Mr. John, head of the finance department, in a serious tone while reviewing some papers on his desk. "You must prepare all his documents because there will be an important meeting tomorrow morning, and our report cannot have any errors."

"Alright, sir, I have everything ready," Thailor replied confidently, giving a small smile. His calm and assured voice contrasted with his discreet appearance, but behind his composure, there was an agile and analytical mind.

Mr. John, a middle-aged man with gray hairs scattered through his dark hair, watched him with a slight smile, satisfied with his efficiency.

"Good," he replied, relaxing his shoulders. "I hope you enjoy working here, despite the high pressure. I don't know what I would do without you, Thailor."

"I will always enjoy working here, sir... because of the good salary," Thailor replied sincerely, provoking a soft laugh from John. The boss leaned against his desk, amused.

"You're right, no other place can compete with this company's salary, Thailor. Be grateful for that," he said, with a paternalistic smile.

Thailor nodded, maintaining his composure. Although his relationship with John was cordial, Thailor always maintained a certain professional distance.

"You haven't met Mr. Dimitrei yet, have you?" John continued, his tone shifting to a more cautious one. "My advice is not to show nervousness in front of him. He is a very intimidating alpha. He doesn't like indecisive or unfirm people, so tomorrow you will have to face him if he bombards you with many questions."

Thailor nodded, his mind processing the information. He had read a lot about Dimitrei, but he had never seen him in person.

"Alright, sir," Thailor replied, with calculated calm. "I read some articles about him, although I don't know what his face looks like. He must be a very intimidating person."

"Yes, he is dangerous for everyone, especially for omegas like you," John added, with a meaningful smile on his face. "Be careful."

Thailor maintained his smile, although his gaze hardened briefly. He knew that John didn't mean it with bad intentions, but those comments about omegas always irritated him slightly. However, he didn't let it show.

"I will keep that in mind, sir," he finally replied.

Concluding the conversation, Thailor gathered his belongings and said goodbye with a respectful nod. He walked through the company corridors, as the office lights began to turn off, and finally went out into the fresh city air.

He returned to his small apartment. The place, although modest, was comfortable and functional. He rented in one of the most expensive areas of the city, but maintained an austere lifestyle to save as much as possible. The walls were decorated simply, without extravagance, only what was necessary to feel at home. Despite the difficulties, Thailor had managed to amass a considerable savings account, which gave him some peace of mind in case of an emergency.

....................................

In his daily life, Thailor remained reserved. His clothing choices were not casual; he always opted for clothes that didn't attract too much attention. His brown hair, although thick and shiny, he always kept short and well-combed back, something that helped him go unnoticed among his colleagues.

"Thailor, always so discreet," one of his coworkers had once told him.

But for Thailor, discretion was not just a matter of appearance, but a strategy. He knew perfectly well how to handle himself in a competitive environment, especially being an omega surrounded by alphas. He opted for plain shirts and long shorts that came down below the knees, far from the formal and structured style that dominated the office. He didn't want to attract gazes or unnecessary comments.

However, behind that reserved appearance, there was a brilliant mind. Thailor was an exceptional financial analyst, capable of identifying patterns that others overlooked. His ability to decipher complex numbers and figures had made him an invaluable resource for the company. No matter how much he tried to go unnoticed, his intelligence made him stand out.

Despite his success, Thailor had a complicated family history that always kept him on the sidelines. His father, who had died a few years ago, had left him completely out of his will. Being the son of his father's second partner, the first wife, although she had no children of her own, had ensured that Thailor did not have access to any of the family's assets.

This rejection had left him in a vulnerable position. Without family support, he was forced to rely solely on his ability to work, which drove him to be exceptional in his career. Although he didn't show it, that family wound marked him deeply, being a constant motivation to ensure a future where he didn't depend on anyone else.

Therefore, every day in the office, Thailor worked tirelessly, maintaining his focus on securing his place in that gigantic company, while the rest saw an omega who simply did his job, without knowing the story of struggle and perseverance he carried behind.
