He was surprised to find Taehyung standing in the Rec centre in his office clothes looking like he did two years back at the same spot except he had blonde hair back then. He stood up to hug Taehyung,

What are you doing here? You said you had important meeting today and would directly meet for dinner?

Taehyung laughed and kissed him on his forhead

Ah well happy anniversary to you too babe.

Yoongi flushed in embarrassment. Taehyung had left for work early in the morning and this was the first time they were seeing each other today,

Happy anniversary Love. Sorry just you being here took me by surprise.

Taehyung chuckled and stepped away from their embrace,

Yeah I left early so that we could squeeze in an early dinner before we had to leave for the party tonight.

Kim Taehyung

But I’m so sorry there has been a change in schedule and I won’t be able to meet you for dinner,

Taehyung caressed his hand gently,

I was hoping to take you for a lunch date to make up for that. I feel so bad cancelling our date tonight but you know how busy work has been.

Taehyung sounded genuinely apologetic and he knew that he was. His husband had been planning for their anniversary since a month now.

They had to scrap off plans of a mini vacation when Yoongi saw how busy Taehyung actually was.Their other plans were halted because they had to attend welcome party of Yoongi’s friend tonight.

Infact Yoongi was one of the people who were hosting it.

And now even their small dinner date had been cancelled. But he didn’t want to make Taehyung feel any more guilty. He knew his husband would blame himself over and over when they shouldn’t be worrying about such things.

They had a lifetime to be together and a lot of anniversaries they would get to celebrate together. So he assured Taehyung that the change was fine and agreed to it.

The fact that Taehyung cared enough to plan a lunch to compensate for his busy schedule in the evening showed how much he genuinely cared for Yoongi. He said goodbye to all the kids and left the centre with Taehyung in a cheery mood to celebrate their special day any way they could.

As Taehyung started the ignition for the car he turned to Yoongi,

What was the song you were playing in the end? I can’t remember it, but it feels familiar.

Yoongi chuckled and hit him on his shoulder lightly,

Ofcourse you do. It’s our wedding song baby. The one you chose and it made you teary eyed when you were spinning me around.

Taehyung nodded and started driving,

Ah I remember it now. Can’t help falling in love, right? Were you thinking of our wedding?

Yoongi flushed and looked down at his hands,

I mean it’s our wedding anniversary today, so yes. Also I just wanted to play it for you someday considering it’s your favourite.
