Chapter 7: A Day to Remember

...Woo-seok was deep in thought, staring at his computer screen in his office when his phone rang. Seeing Song Yun's name flash across the screen, his heart skipped a beat. He quickly answered, trying to sound calm, even though excitement was bubbling within him....

..."Hello, Song Yun!" he said, a bit too enthusiastically....

..."Hi, Woo-seok," her voice came through softly. "I was thinking about our outing... Could you, um, come dressed like an ordinary middle-class guy? No flashy cars or suits. Just something simple."...

...There was a brief pause before Woo-seok responded, his smile widening. "Of course, Song Yun. Whatever you say, I'll be there."...

...After he hung up the phone, Woo-seok's grin stretched from ear to ear. His assistant, who had been quietly working nearby, glanced over and giggled at his boss's sudden, childlike joy....

..."What are you looking at?" Woo-seok asked, trying to sound stern but failing miserably due to the huge smile still plastered on his face....

..."Nothing, sir. Just... I’ve never seen you smile like this before," the assistant replied with a chuckle....

...Woo-seok nodded, then said, "Do the remaining work left for me. I’ll give you double the pay for it."...

...The assistant's eyes widened. "Sir, have a good time, Your Honor!" he said, bowing slightly, clearly amused by his boss's unusually generous mood....

...---...

...Back at his home, Woo-seok was preparing for the outing. He dressed in a simple shirt and pants, nothing fancy, just like Song Yun had requested. His hair was styled in a soft, fluffy way that gave him a cute, puppy-like look. As he checked himself in the mirror, he began rehearsing his lines, feeling both nervous and excited....

..."Song Yun, ah! I love you," he said to his reflection, then shook his head. "No, no, too soon. How about... Song Yun, ah! You look so beautiful today." He cringed a little, trying different variations. "Song Yun, ah! How am I looking? Is it okay?"...

...He even tried more light-hearted lines: "Song Yun, ah! I wore this because you wanted me to look like an ordinary guy. How did I do?" Each line brought a mix of excitement and jitters....

...Meanwhile, Song Yun was getting ready as well. She stood at her gate, waiting nervously. When Woo-seok arrived, she was pleasantly surprised. He looked different—softer, more approachable, yet still undeniably charming....

..."You actually listened," she said with a small, approving smile as she opened the door....

..."I always listen when it comes to you," Woo-seok replied, his heart pounding. ...

...They headed off to the amusement park, and Woo-seok couldn’t help but notice how beautiful Song Yun looked under the sunlight. He tried to keep his composure, but every time she smiled or laughed, he felt like he was on cloud nine....

...---...

...The amusement park was full of life, and the two of them fit right in. They bought matching cat and dog headbands, both of them laughing at how silly they looked. Woo-seok, who was usually so composed and reserved, let loose for once. They rode roller coasters, played games, and shared snacks, creating a day full of memories....

...After a while, they sat down to eat some snacks. Song Yun turned to Woo-seok and said, "I never thought you were so friendly. You're not like other CEOs I’ve met."...

...Woo-seok smiled softly. "I'm not like this with everyone, not even with my own parents."...

..."Why?" she asked, tilting her head curiously....

...He hesitated, a shadow passing over his face. "Because they..." he began, but quickly changed the topic. "Anyway, I’m glad you think I’m friendly. With you, it’s different. I feel like I can be myself."...

...Song Yun nodded, sensing that there was more to his story but deciding not to push further. "Well, I appreciate it. You’re lovely by nature, Woo-seok."...

...Woo-seok's cheeks flushed slightly. "I’m only like this because you’re special, Song Yun. You make me feel things I’ve never felt before... like I’ve known you for a lifetime. Every time I see you smile, it’s like my heart finds its home."...

...She chuckled, trying to hide how his words affected her. "You’re quite good with words, aren’t you?"...

..."Only when I’m speaking to you," he replied with a grin. "Because every word I say to you comes straight from here." He gently tapped his chest, causing Song Yun to blush....

...They continued their conversation, filled with laughter and teasing, and after eating, Woo-seok insisted on walking her home. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow around them. It felt like a perfect day....

...But as they were nearing her home, Woo-seok felt the same sharp pain in his chest that he had experienced before. His steps slowed, and his breath became shallow. He tried to keep his composure, forcing a smile despite the increasing pain. ...

...Song Yun noticed his pale face. "Woo-seok, are you alright?"...

..."Yeah, I’m fine," he lied, but the pain only intensified. Just as he was about to brush it off again, his vision darkened, and his body gave out. He collapsed onto the ground....

..."WOONG-SEOK!" Song Yun screamed, rushing to his side, her heart racing with panic. She shook him gently, trying to wake him. His face was strained with pain, and she could see his breathing becoming more erratic....

...Without wasting a moment, she pulled out her phone and called for an ambulance. "Please, Woo-seok, hang in there," she whispered, holding his hand tightly, her mind spinning with worry. "Just hold on."...
