The Meeting

"Not at all dear." Kiran's mother smiled as she picked up a cup full of crimson liquid as Kiran sat next to his older brother Marshall. "Glad to hear I didn't inconvenience you mother." Kiran said as unenthusiastic as possible. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were being smart." Kiran's mother said in response to her son's unenthusiastic apology "That's why you pay tutors for me isn't it?" Kiran asked with a low sarcastic tone as if challenging his mother's authority. Kiran's mother slammed her cup on the table as some of the crimson liquid splashed out of it onto the table. Kiran and his siblings all looked at their mother who had a frowned brow and fire in her eyes "How dare you speak to me in such a way! You have everything but you feel as if your whole world is against you! You are a ungrateful prince that need to start acting like a king!" Kiran's mother in a rage shouted in fury at Kiran who just stared blankly at his mother. Kiran mother took a few deep breaths before saying that their was going to be a celebration tonight for Kiran going to be crowned king in a few months. Kiran looked at the ground before standing from the table and going to the front door. There he grabbed his backpack and headed for school which he found unfair that he had to go to school during the day and have tutoring in the afternoon if it wasn't for his special pills he would burn to ash in seconds while walking to school. Sometimes he thought about not taking them and setting a foot out the door so he didn't have to go to the bullshit high school he attended full of lesser vampires sucking up to him all day. When Kiran finally got to school he headed for his locker when he heard the speaker static start to play "Will Mr.Kiran Vamire come to the office Mr.Kiran Vamire thank you." as the speakers shut off and Kiran could feel the eyes of the other students looking at him in the hall. Kiran let out a sigh and shut his locker door leaving his bag inside it and started to make his way to the office. When he reached the office the principal instantly was in his face "Kiran! Thank you for coming on such short notice!" the principal said as if Kiran was the king himself well I guess he might as well be at this point. "Why did you want to see me sir?" Kiran asked confusedly as he was usually never called to the office unless of an emergency or a doctor appointment which was rare. " Well I was hoping you could show our new student around! This is Maverick." the principal said while a boy only a few inches short then Kiran stepped next to the principal. "Hi I'm Maverick what's your name?"
