Chapter..3
Ji-hoon descended into the dimly lit basement, his footsteps echoing off the concrete walls. The air was thick with the scent of dampness and decay. He followed the arrow to a door marked "Maintenance Access Only."
As he pushed the door open, a chill ran down his spine. Inside, a room filled with old storage containers and discarded furniture. But one container caught his attention: a small, metal box with a combination lock.
The number 314 echoed in his mind. He entered the code, and the lock clicked open. Inside, a small notebook belonging to Kim Ha-yeon.
The entries spoke of a secret organization, hidden in plain sight, manipulating the city's elite. The final entry read: "I've seen the truth. They'll stop at nothing."
Suddenly, the lights flickered and died. Ji-hoon was plunged into darkness. He heard footsteps, heavy and deliberate, closing in.
He fumbled for his flashlight, but it was dead. The darkness seemed to writhe around him, alive and malevolent.
A hand clamped over his mouth, and he was dragged deeper into the basement. Ji-hoon struggled, but his attacker was too strong.
As he was dragged, he caught glimpses of strange symbols etched into the walls - symbols that seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy.
Ji-hoon's world went black.
When he came to, he was back in the dress store, the owner standing over him, concerned.
"What happened?" Ji-hoon groggily asked.
"You must have fainted," the owner replied. "But... there's something you should see."
A security camera had captured a figure in a black hoodie, lurking outside the store. The figure's face was obscured, but Ji-hoon recognized the symbol on their jacket - the same symbol etched into the basement walls.
The mystery deepened. Ji-hoon knew he was closing in on the truth, but the truth was deadly.
Chapter...4......
Ji-hoon's eyes locked onto the symbol, his mind racing. He knew he had to find the source of the organization before they struck again.
He spent the next few days tracking down leads, following whispers and rumors. Finally, he received a tip about a secret meeting at an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Seoul.
Ji-hoon arrived at the warehouse, his gun drawn. He crept inside, his heart pounding. The room was dimly lit, but he saw figures gathered around a makeshift altar.
At the center of the altar, a symbol glowed with an otherworldly light. Ji-hoon recognized the symbol - it was the same one etched into the basement walls, the same one on the jacket.
Suddenly, the figures turned towards him. Ji-hoon saw their faces, twisted in sinister grins. The leader, a tall figure with piercing eyes, stepped forward.
"Welcome, Detective," the leader said. "We've been expecting you."
Ji-hoon's gun trembled, but he stood firm. "Where is Kim Ha-yeon?"
The leader chuckled. "She's...indisposed. But you'll see her soon enough."
The figures closed in, their eyes gleaming with an unnatural hunger. Ji-hoon knew he was in grave danger.
Just as all hope seemed lost, the lights flickered and died. Ji-hoon took advantage of the distraction to make a run for it.
As he stumbled through the darkness, he heard footsteps behind him. He burst through the door, gasping for air.
