Breaking The System
When I was little the only thing I knew how to do was run, to run away from the people that looked down upon us. In society groups and categories define how we live, there are three groups in total. My father came from the highest group, Purple. While my mom came from the lowest group, Red.
My mother and father met when my father was running out to get something from the store, at that time my mother was working her butt off at the store trying to get money to feed her sister and mother. When my father went to check out it was her that caught his eye, she had beautiful long brunette hair and piercing blue eyes, her beautiful features were covered up by a thin layer of dirt over her face. The rules between the different groups were strictly enforced and Red groups were not allowed to socialize with anyone outside of Red group while Purple class people were to avoid anyone with lower status.
Even with these rules ingrained in his brain he still couldn't help but pass a note to the beautiful young lady behind the cash register. The note read "10 pm under bridge, please" as he passed the note and she read it she looked up with look of curiosity in her eyes, her lips slightly curled up and she gave a slight nod to the guy dressed in expensive clothing.
10 pm came and the two met in the dark night under a bridge hidden near the south of town. As the boy sat there leaning against the side of the bridge he saw a light coming in from the distance, his heart leaped excitedly as the light got closer and he could see her blue eyes from the light emitting off of the lantern in which she carried.
She sat beside the boy and stared off into the darkness of the night. "You're a quiet one aren't you?" she looked at the boy and smiled sadly, "I'm not allowed to talk to you people." her voice rang out, the most beautiful voice the boy had ever heard, clear as day and sweet as candy.
"What's your name?" the boy asked her, yet she sat there quietly. A few minutes passed and they sat there with only the burning light from the lantern to light the area. "It's Polly." the boy looked at the girl surprised. The boy smiled happily that he had learned her name, "Mines Jack" She looked over to him while their eyes met, the blue of her eyes dug deep into his heart making it bounce in his chest.
The girl looked away breaking the contact of their eyes, the girl looked away due to the overwhelming heat that rushed to her face. She looked the other way but the boy put his hand on her cheek turning her face back towards his, he looked at the redness that had taken over her dirt covered cheeks. The boy chuckled while the girl moved his hand away from her face. The boy stood up taking her hand, "follow me." the girl looked up at him with curiosity but did as he instructed.
