CHAPTER 5: MEETING THE KING

.## ON THE BATTLEFIELD.

the floor was littered with dead bodies. In the aftermath of the brutal clash, Zeke stood amidst soldiers who were wearing but still standing. Though many were injured, none had fallen. The echoes of battle faded, leaving only the sound of Zeke's laboured breathing as he squared off against Prince Glory.

Zeke swung his sword with deadly precision, slicing True Glory's hand, the one still clutching a sword. glory crumpled to his knees, blood pouring from the severe limb.

"I never knew you grow strong", Glory grasped, his voice thick with pain and disbelief.

"maybe that's because you were too blind to see it", Ezekiel replied coldly, his eyes locked on his opponent.

Glory smirked, blood trickling from his lips "And where is that coward, Zen couldn't fight me himself"

Zeke's expression hardened "He said you were too weak to bother with".

"Seems he_"Glory's words were cut short. Ezekiel's blade sliced clean through his neck, silencing him forever.

With their Prince dead, Glory's soldiers drop their weapons, surrendering without another fight. The battle fell into an eerie silence before the Victorious soldiers began gathering the bodies of the fallen. the sound of trumpets echoed across the land signalling victory, that night the soldiers drank themselves into a stupor celebrating their hard-won triumph **TWO DAYS LATER - ZEN'S OFFICE**

Zen was buried in his files when Ezekiel barged in without knocking. "You know I don't like people entering my office without knocking," Zen said, looking up with irritation.

"Sorry, I was in a hurry and forgot," Ezekiel replied, a bit apologetically.

"Any news?" Zen asked, finally setting his pen aside.

"This is very important," Ezekiel said, his tone growing serious. "Is your wife in labor, or-"

Zen raised an eyebrow. "No, not that! You're really pushing it," Ezekiel smiled.

"Seems like it's in my blood," Zen replied with a smirk.

"What about me?" Zen asked, looking puzzled.

"Zen, you're no longer young," Ezekiel said, adopting a concerned tone. "I know you don't want to be like your father, but it's important. I heard a maid discussing that twins should get married soon. How does that affect me?"

Zen sighed. "I understand where you're coming from, but I'm busy. At least get married-that's simple."

Ezekiel smiled. "I know you're avoiding it, but it's important. By the way, she sent me a message. What does it say?"

Zen shook his head. "I couldn't read it. Is it with you?"

"No, but I'll visit her. I need to leave now; Stella will be furious if I don't make it to lunch," Ezekiel said, heading for the door.

"Okay, extend my greetings," Zen said as Ezekiel left.

Another knock echoed through the room. The door opened to reveal a woman in radiant, elegant attire. "Good morning," she greeted with a warm smile.

"Good morning aunt" Zen Stood up to give some respect .  As he looked behind her."who is she?" Mrs Pactria knows pretty that Zen doesn't like outsiders in his castle, "the name is Cynthia. It's nice to meet you."the girl said smiling.her beauty became more radiant

Zen nodded. "Nice to meet you too. I hope you're safe."

Mrs. Patricia continued, "I came to see Ezekiel, not you, but I couldn't find him."
