The days following their memorable date were filled with a mix of anticipation and excitement for Mia. Mia looked puzzled. “What do you mean?”

“I work in marketing, as I mentioned,” Ethan said. “But what I didn’t tell you is that I’m also the CEO of the company I work for. I wanted to get to know you without the influence of my position or wealth.”

The revelation took Mia by surprise. She had suspected Ethan was more than he let on, but she hadn’t expected him to be a CEO. The news was both startling and confusing.

Ethan smiled, relieved. “Of course, take all the time you need. I just wanted to be upfront because I value what we have, and I didn’t want any secrets between us.”
