Mission Log 1.

Hoshi and Hana arrive at General Tsuki’s office.

Hoshi knocks on the door.

Tsuki: “You may now enter!”

Hoshi and Hana swiftly enter Tsuki’s office and salute her.

Hoshi & Hana simultaneously shout

“Reporting for orders ma’am!”

Tsuki: “Take a seat. We have a few things to discuss! You both have successfully finished your duo training however nothing will prepare you for the true horrors that lurk outside. I want to personally wish you both the best of luck. You have my gratitude and full support. Hoshi I know I haven’t been fully honest with you but you are in fact a imperfect demon. How you were created is not my place to say. I’m simply following orders. You will learn more about this subject once you arrive at “Esperanza City!”

Hoshi and Hana’s eyes open wide, impressed by the city’s name; both look very Interested and invested in what Tsuki is saying.

Tsuki: “now head over to the mission briefing center. Izutsu has the last details to your mission before you depart. A long journey awaits you both. You two are dismissed. I bid you farewell.”

All three hug say their goodbyes. Hoshi and Hana leave her office and head over to speak to Izutsu.

Tsuki views Hoshi and Hana from her office window as they walk away.

Tsuki: “I wish I could of told you the whole truth. That the general before me was the one that saved your life that night Hoshi. You have the Kings power dwelling dormant inside you. That young girl, I know she will become the catalyst you need to unleash your full abilities. Don’t die you two come back to me safely.” She says to her self quietly as she lets one tear slide down her cheek before quickly wiping it off with her right hand; sitting back down and getting back to her duties.

Hoshi and Hana arrive at the mission briefing center where they meet up with Izutsu.

Izutsu: “I see you have had a successful training and do I see a spark between you too!?” He jokingly laughs.

Hoshi and Hana blush and turn away hiding the embarrassment on their face.

Izutsu: “I’m just simply stating a observation. Now as you remember your mission is to get to Esperanza City….. alive that is. Oh; and here you go these are your special clearance badges that you’ll be using as identification and means to get around the city.”

Izutsu hands them their badges.

Izutsu: “ to the left the defenders badge; and to the right the scouters badge.”

Hoshi and Hana retrieve their badges and place it inside their pockets.

“I have given you all the details at this moment. Go to the armory where you will be receiving all your equipment for this long journey. I wish you two the best of luck which you’ll most definitely need!” Oh!; and one last thing you will be receiving something that will allow me to communicate with you guys in the armory. Talk to you soon you’re dismissed.”

Hoshi and Hana arrive at the armory where they meet the soldier handing out the equipment.

Armory soldier: “You two must be here for your equipment. We were informed on your mission and have prepared everything we were ordered to do. In your kit, you will find one plasma sword, one plasma sniper rifle equipped with a 10x scope, two plasma machine gun, medical supplies, and enough MRE’s to last you one month. You will also be receiving one ADC, #5 (assistant drone companion). This drone can help the scouter search an area, be a line of communication directly to us here at the outpost, has a camera that will allow us to view what you guys see, and it can keep track of your location.”

Hoshi: “ will we be receiving any vehicles or form of transportation?”

Armory soldier: “ negative details state that you will continue this mission on foot.”

“On foot!?” they both gasp!

Armory soldier: “that’s correct, all we have at the moment is an old plane that’s sitting in the hanger; that you can see through the window. The AIMAV, #33 that beauty has flown in over seventeen years.”

Hoshi and Hana are amazed as they glance over to the plane through the window.

Armory soldier: “Head to the gate you’ll be released and begin your mission, best of luck soldiers!”

Hana and Hoshi grab their equipment salute the soldier and head towards the gate which was at the base of the mountain by the academy .

Standing in front of the gate they wait for it to open so they can exit. They are ready to begin their mission!

The gate opens and they step out. They witness for the first time the wasteland outside the outpost.

Hoshi activates the drone.

ADC#5: “Sytems booting up. Fifty percent….. eighty percent…….. systems are fully activated. Good evening. I’m artificial drone companion #5. My artificial intelligence has been updated to the most up to date configurations to fit your needs as I accompany you both on your mission. How can I be of assistance.”

Hoshi: “first of all let’s shorten your name to #5.”

#5: “calculating order. Command accepted you can now call me #5.”

Hana: “kinda cute isn’t it.”

Hoshi: “ piece of junk if you ask me!”

#5: “Error Error! #5 is the most advance drone to date. Not a piece of junk!!!!”

Hana and Hoshi laugh.

Hoshi: “start a recording!”

#5 activates its camera and begins to record Hoshi.

Hoshi: “mission log 1; we have departed from the outpost and have began our mission to reach Esperanza city. It’s a wasteland out here.”

Hana: “let’s get going.”

Hoshi and Hana begin walking through the wasteland with their drone companion. Their journey begins.

Hoshi: “#5! End…..end mission log 1.”
