in the night of the raid Guzman was able to escape the safe house into his tunnel which was hidden beneath a real door under a false bathtub in the bathroom of the safe house. There was a switch on the bathroom wall and if you took what was essentially s paper clip and you jammed the paper clip into the electrical outlet on the wall which created an electric current which went around the seal and eventually burned out all the cauking that sealed the bathtub lid closed and u have to open it. And beneath that false til was the entrance to the tunnel and a ladder going down. His gf, secretary, cook and himself escaped before the Mexican and us military police made it there.
