### **Beginning of the Novel:**

**Dangerous Desires**

Isha had always felt a lingering presence, like a shadow that followed her no matter where she went. It wasn’t obvious, but it was there—an unnerving sensation that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. At first, she dismissed it as paranoia, the product of late nights spent alone in her small apartment or the fatigue from long hours at work. But the feeling persisted, growing stronger with each passing day, until she could no longer ignore it.

She tried to tell herself it was nothing, just her imagination playing tricks. After all, who would want to follow her? Isha was just an ordinary woman with a simple life. She worked at a local design firm, spent her weekends with friends or reading books, and rarely ventured outside her routine. There was nothing remarkable about her, nothing that would attract the attention of anyone dangerous.

But then strange things started happening. It began with small incidents—a bouquet of her favorite flowers left anonymously at her door, her favorite coffee waiting for her at the cafe before she even ordered it, the feeling that someone was watching her from across the street. It was unnerving, but not necessarily frightening. In some strange way, it was almost flattering.

That all changed the night she met Ekaksh.

It was a cold winter evening, and Isha had decided to treat herself to a rare night out. She’d been working late on a project and needed a break, so she headed to a trendy new bar downtown. The place was packed, the air thick with laughter and music, but the moment she walked in, she felt that familiar presence. This time, it was stronger, more intense, as if the very air around her was charged with electricity.

She scanned the room, trying to pinpoint the source of her unease, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Just people enjoying themselves, lost in their own worlds. Shaking off the feeling, she made her way to the bar and ordered a drink.

That’s when she saw him.

Ekaksh was sitting in a corner booth, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that made her breath catch in her throat. He was strikingly handsome, with sharp features and a chiseled jawline, but there was something dangerous about him, something that sent a shiver down her spine. He was dressed in all black, his shirt unbuttoned just enough to reveal a glimpse of the tattoos that snaked up his chest. His eyes, dark and unreadable, bore into hers with an unsettling mix of curiosity and hunger.

For a moment, she couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. It was as if the rest of the world had faded away, leaving just the two of them locked in a silent, electrifying stare. She should have looked away, should have walked out of that bar and never looked back, but she couldn’t. Something about him drew her in, like a moth to a flame.

Before she knew it, he was standing in front of her, his presence overwhelming in its intensity. He didn’t say a word, just looked at her with those dark, penetrating eyes, as if he could see right through her. The air between them crackled with tension, and for a moment, Isha forgot how to speak.

“Do you always stare at strangers like that?” she finally managed to say, her voice coming out more breathless than she intended.

A slow, dangerous smile spread across his lips. “Only when they’re worth staring at.”

His voice was low, smooth as velvet, and it sent a shiver down her spine. There was something about the way he spoke, the way he looked at her, that made her feel both thrilled and terrified at the same time.

“I’m Isha,” she said, trying to regain her composure.

“Ekaksh,” he replied, his eyes never leaving hers.

The name sent a jolt of recognition through her, though she couldn’t place why. It was as if she’d heard it before, in some distant, half-forgotten dream. But before she could dwell on it, he was offering her a drink, and she found herself accepting, despite every instinct telling her to run.

They talked, or rather, he asked questions and she answered, captivated by the way his eyes seemed to drink in her every word. He was charming in a dark, mysterious way, his words laced with a subtle danger that both intrigued and unnerved her. She couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to him than he was letting on, that beneath his calm exterior lay something wild and unpredictable.

As the night wore on, Isha found herself drawn deeper into his world. He was unlike anyone she’d ever met—confident, enigmatic, with an aura of power that was impossible to ignore. She should have been scared, should have walked away, but she didn’t. There was something about him that made her feel alive, like she was standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to jump into the unknown.

But as the night drew to a close, reality began to set in. This wasn’t just some random encounter at a bar. Ekaksh was dangerous, that much was clear. There was a darkness in him, something that told her he was not a man to be trifled with. And yet, she couldn’t bring herself to walk away.

“I should go,” she said finally, though her voice lacked conviction.

Ekaksh’s eyes narrowed, and for a moment, she saw a flicker of something in them—anger, perhaps, or possessiveness. But it was gone as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by that same unreadable expression.

“I’ll walk you home,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Isha wanted to protest, to tell him she could take care of herself, but the words died in her throat. There was something in his voice, something that told her it would be unwise to refuse. So she nodded, and together they left the bar, stepping out into the cold, dark night.

The walk home was silent, the air between them charged with unspoken tension. Isha couldn’t shake the feeling that she was being watched, that there were eyes on them, hidden in the shadows. But whenever she glanced over her shoulder, there was nothing, just the empty streets and the soft glow of streetlights.

When they finally reached her apartment, Ekaksh stopped and turned to her, his eyes dark and intense.

“Goodnight, Isha,” he said, his voice low and dangerous.

She swallowed, her heart pounding in her chest. “Goodnight, Ekaksh.”

For a moment, they stood there, the air between them thick with tension. Then, without another word, he turned and walked away, disappearing into the night.

Isha watched him go, a strange mix of emotions swirling in her chest. She should have felt relieved, but instead, all she felt was a deep, inexplicable sense of loss, as if something vital had just been taken from her.

And then she realized—Ekaksh wasn’t just some stranger she’d met at a bar. He was the presence she’d felt all along, the shadow that had been following her, watching her, protecting her.

Her stalker.

And now that she knew who he was, there was no going back.
