Chapter 4.2
It was a cheap club, the kind with sticky floors and flickering lights, where the air was thick with the scent of stale beer and cigarettes.
A singer was crooning some forgotten 90s hit in the corner, their voice drowned out by the low hum of chatter and clinking glasses.
He sat in the corner, nursing a drink that he hadn’t touched. His eyes, cold and calculating, scanned the room with a predator’s patience.
He wasn’t there for the music or the company—
He was there for his next prey.
He spotted her immediately—the woman who would be his prey.
Adelia
"well, hello there..."
She spotted him almost immediately, and with a coy smile, she made her way over, swaying her hips in a way that made it clear she had a plan of her own
a bit too eager, mistaking his quiet demeanor for wealth, thinking she’d caught a big fish in this murky pond.
Adelia
“Mind if I join you?”
She asked, her voice dripping with charm as she slid into the seat beside him.
He looked up, his face a mask of politeness, but his eyes held something else, something she didn’t notice.
He replied smoothly with his polite smile, gesturing to the seat. He knew exactly what she was doing, and it amused him.
The trap was already set—she just didn’t know it yet.she leaned in closer, her perfume intoxicating, her voice low and seductive as she flirted, her fingers brushing lightly against his arm.
Hours passed in a blur of conversation and laughter, her inhibitions lowered by the alcohol and the thrill of the chase.
They exchanged drinks and words, but while she opened up about herself, he remained a mystery, revealing nothing of his own
Adelia
“I have two kids now, fuck, it’s hard being a single mother...”
Adelia
"whoring around is the only option left"
Adelia
"quite funny right?"
She slurred, her voice tinged with bitterness.
He stayed silent just listening to her complains
Adelia
“He just left me for another woman—ran away like a coward. Now I’m stuck taking care of those little shits. I wish I could be free."
At the mention of the word free, something flickered in his eyes—an almost imperceptible gleam that she didn’t catch.
Arus
“Then let me help you.”
He murmured, his voice smooth and deceptively warm.
She blinked, her senses dulled by the alcohol but intrigued by his sudden interest. He stood up, offering his hand with a charming smile.
Arus
“would you mind a dance?”
As they swayed to the beat, her movements were clumsy and heavy, her body swaying like a drunkard's. He led her with ease, his grip firm yet gentle. She felt safe, at least for a moment. They drew closer, their bodies nearly touching, his breath warm against her cheek. Just as their lips were about to meet,
Her world tilted, the alcohol and exhaustion catching up with her all at once. Her eyes fluttered, and before she could say another word, she blacked out in his arms.He caught her effortlessly, a smile creeping across his face as he held her limp body. The trap had been sprung, and she had walked right into it, unaware of the nightmare that awaited her.
Arus
"I will grant your wish"
