CHAPTER FOUR

Scarlett sighed softly.

Scarlett: the Duke and I had an argument for the past 2 days, that's why I couldn't give it.

Tasha: ahh.. hmm then the lady should definitely do it now! Right maria!?

Tasha winked at Maria and Maria quickly got the signal and nods.

Maria: i-indeed! Lady tasha is right, my lady! You should definitely go to the duke's office right now!

Scarlett: I'm lazy, besides the Duke has better things to do than receive something like this—

Before scarlett could even finish the door suddenly opened. As Argos barged in.

Argos: i-i am not busy!...

Philip, scarlett, maria and tasha all looked at Argos.

Philip slammed his forehead on the wall.

Philip: ( I said knock first you idiot! )

Argos looked at Scarlett.

Scarlett turned her head at the side. While tasha and Maria bowed their heads and greated argos.

Maria & Tasha: we greet his grace the duke..

Argos: y-yes..

Scarlett: what do you think you are doing?

Scarlett looked at Argos with a smug face. Philip on the other side can't hold back his laughter.

Argos: I.. I heard that..

Scarlett: were you listening to our conversation?

Maria and Tasha started to giggle at the corner whole their heads are bowing.

Argos: T-thats.. well...

Scarlett: I see.

Scarlett stood up and took out a small box from the drawer of her desk and walks towards argos.

Scarlett: I don't know if you'll like this or not, however I Sketched this design, which is why maria and I took long to get home.

Scarlett handed a box to argos. Argos on the other hand took it.

Argos: can I open it?...

Scarlett: sure.

Argos smiled in relief as he opened the box. His eyes widened as he sees a pheonix design in ruby design.

Argos: this is..

Scarlett: the pheonix resembles as the pride of the O'Hara duchy, while the ruby gem symbolizes the trait of the Duke. As it resembles your hair and eyes color.

Argos: this is..

Scarlett: this is what? Do you not want it?

Argos: n-no it's not that!..

Scarlett: then, what is it?

Philip & Maria & Tasha: ...

Argos: this is also the same gift your mother gave to me when we got married..

Argos smiled and looks at scarlett.

Scarlett: my mother?...

Argos: yes.. though the one your mother gave me was already broken at the war 5 years before..

Scarlett slowly raised her arms and hugs argos back. Argos's eyes widened as he hugs her more.

“ Thank you, stella. For giving me a wonderful daughter like scarlett. ”Argos said to his mind.

MEANWHILE AT THE PALACE.

With Luke at the training grounds practicing his swordmanship. While noah watches him from a distance.

Noah: ... ( Don't tell me he's still upset with what I said.. he's acting so childish.. ) haaaa.. seriously.. I'll also meet scarlett at the party soon, I guess we'll see it there whether what he said is true or not.

Noah sighed and walks away, while luke continues to train.

Luke: haaa.. haaaa..

Luke stabbed his sword at the ground and sits on the floor breathless.

Luke: hmmm...

Luke turned around and catches a satchel of water.

A guy with Violet hair and Gray eyes walked towards him as he claps.

Luke: come on, you know we can't be defenseless no matter where we are, tino.

Tino: so, what's my dude thinking? You usually don't practice alone. Something up?

Tino sat next to Luke as they speak.

Luke: oh you know, the usual. Still family problems.

Tino: still about the first commander and your younger sister?

Luke: yeah *opens the satchel and drinks* I just seriously don't get it how can he ignore our little sister, and say some inappropriate words about her.

Tino: Have you asked him why?

Tino stared at luke and started bursting laughing.

Tino; HAHAHAHAHA! sorry! HAHAHAHAHA I just HAHAHAHA can't HOHOHOOHO!

Luke smacked tino's head.

Luke; calm your ballz down, you're at the palace.

Tino: h-hey! That hurts! You should watch your words aswell! There are children reading this!

Luke moved closer to tino and whispered.

Luke: B A L L Z

Tino: Lukeeeee!

Luke: Ballz, Ballz, Ballzzzzzzz!

Tino: May god be with you, Amen!

Luke: ohhhh no~ I'm burning~ save me tinoooo~

Tino and Luke stared at each other and started laughing at each other.

Luke & Tino: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY.

Luciano: seems like his birthday is coming up.

Luciano smirked.

Luciano: I might be able to meet her there.

An imaged of scarlett dead in his hands flashed.

“ and this time I will make sure to not let you die. ”

AT THE CAPITAL

A girl with brown hair and yellow eyes looking at the flowers as she picks them up.

Alicia: Hehehe.. Mama, look I got you another bouquet of flowers.

Lady: oh my, that's such a beautiful flower you have.

The lady took it as she smells it.

Lady: they're wonderful, thank you..

Alicia: mama...

Lady; yes?

Alicia: when will I meet my father?

The lady pauses abit as she hugs alicia.

Lady: don't worry.. you'll meet him very soon..

Alicia: is my father nice?..

Lady: yes.. you're father is very nice.

Alicia hugs her back tightly.

Alicia; I can't wait to meet him..

Lady: ofcourse you are..

WITH SCARLETT AT THE DUCHY'S TRAINING GROUNDS.

Scarlett kept on swinging her wooden sword.

Scarlett: ( these won't do... I need a real battle.. )

she stopped and closed her eyes.

Scarlett: ( let's try and test my aura.. )

Wind started surrounding her. While her hair is slowly turning silver. Dark red aura started surrounding her wooden sword.

She slowly opened her eyes.

Scarlett: ( what's this?... dark red?... was there a note about having dark red aura?... )

“ as much as I remember there are only 4 colors..”

“ Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red.. they are all scaled to see how strong you are.. ”

“ with blue as the lowest and red the highest.. ”

“ does this mean I succeded on— ”

someone suddenly called out for her.

Scarlett flinches as her hair turns back to scarlett. Turning around and sees Maria running towards her.

Maria: My lady!

Scarlett: what is it, maria?

Maria: the Duke! His grace is—

Scarlett quickly runs back in the mansion and slams the office door open.

Scarlett: what happe—

Scarlett looked around and sees a big painting on the wall. Her eyes widened as she goes closer to it.

Scarlett: this..

Scarlett: is this me..

Argos came and patted her shoulder.

Argos: yes, that is you.

Argos smiled and looks at scarlett. Scarlett turned to him.

Scarlett: where did you get this?

Argos: I have a small one, and decided to ask the painter to make a bigger version of it.

Scarlett: I see..

Argos: you can put it in your room if you want.

Scarlett; . . .

Argos: its a gift for the bronche you gave me the other day. Do you like it?

Scarlett: ah.. *smiles softly* yes, I love it. Thank you.

Argos and Scarlett smiled at each other.

Argos: I'm glad you loved it..

Argos mumbled.

While Philip and Maria chuckles at each other.

SOMEWHERE AT THE PALACE.

In a hidden place under the palace there was a man.

?: Is everything ready?

Men: yes, your highness...

?: Very well, make sure nothing goes wrong with our plan, or your lives will be the payment if something were to go wrong, do you understand?

More than a thousand people kneeled.

Mens: yes, your highness kassimir.

Kassimir: magnificent!

A man with deep blue hair and blue eyes smirked.

Kassimir: it won't take long.. the throne will soon be mine! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

“if this fails I have no other choice but to start war”

WITH KHALIL AT THE TRAINING GROUNDS. HAVING A SPAR WITH NOAH.

Noah takes a swing and takes afew steps back.

Noah: you've improved well, your highness.

Khalil: *smiles* thank you, first commander! I still have alot to learn from you.

Noah: yes, we'll get to that. However for now, you must focus on your strategies when you're in a fight.

Noah: you can't always attack, it'll cost you lose your stamina more easily. You must study your opponent's moves and find an opening. Therefore you can quickly knock them out.

Khalil nodded and smiled.

Khalil: I'll remember that, first commander.

Noah: *smiles back* that's great to hear, your highness—

Khalil: say, did you and big brother Luke had a fight?

Noah: why.. do you ask, your highness?...

Khalil: I heard him and the second commander talking about you the other day.

The Big Bells suddenly ranged.

Noah turned around to call for everyone.

Noah: Everyone, ready themselves! ( Monster!?.. ) your highness, please go back inside the palace!

Khalil nodded and runs back inside the palace.

The knights ran to their horses and charged outside of the palace.

Luke hops at his horse and charges out.

Luke: where's the location!?

Luke looks back to see tino at his back.

Tino: southwest!

Luke: what?... ( Southwest?.. isn't that close to the residence?.. )

An image of scarlett flashed in his mind.

Tino: luke! Luke, are you okay!?

Luke: yeah.

Luke clenched his fist.

Luke: Tino, let's go!

Tino got the signal and waved his hand as all the horse started to run faster.

“ please stay safe.. scarlett.. ”

Luke said with a worried face.

MEANWHILE AT THE O'HARA DUCHY.

Argos: scarlett, stay in your room—

Scarlett: No.

Philip: my lady, it's dangerous outsi—

Scarlett: Allow me to protect the residence, with you father.

Argos: scarlett.. you..

Scarlett: ah-... ( I got too excited, there are monsters outside to kill... ) Apologies, your grace.

Argos: no.. it's not that..

Scarlett: let's talk later, we have a batch of monster to deal with.

Argos: r-right.. philip ready the knights.

Philp: of course.

Scarlett: . . . ( I can't hide my excitement fuck... )

OUTSIDE OF THE MANSION.

People started running away from the monster, while the other knights started to kill them.

While the people are running, a lady tripped and falls on the ground as a monster started walking towards her.

Lady: h-help! Please!

Noah, Luke and Tino, got off it their horses as they ran towards the lady.

The monster charges to the lady.

Noah & Luke & Tino: ( I won't make it! )

The lady trembled and screamed.

Lady: aaaaaaahhhhh!

Someone dashes infront of the lady and slashed the monster in half.

Noah, Luke and Tino's eyes widened.

Tino: is that the...

Luke: s-scarlett?...

Noah: . . .

Scarlett turned to look at the lady.

Scarlett: are you alright?

Scarlett helped the lady stand up.

Lady: thank you!

She bowed as she runs away.

Scarlett: . . .

Luke: scarlett?... Is that you?...

Luke walked closer to scarlett. Scarlett turns around to face him.

Scarlett: what are you doing here?

Luke: shouldn't I be the one asking you that?..

Scarlett: obviously I'm here to kill monsters.

Luke: but—

Scarlett; enough chit chat.

Scarlett walked pass Luke with her sword.

Scarlett: I can't let them have all the fun.

Scarlett dashes from monster to monster, killing them in seconds.

Tino & Noah: ( so fast... )

Tino: ( moreover... the mana in that tiny body.. )

Noah: Luke, tino, let's get to work!

Luke / Tino: Yes, first commander!

The three of them started killing the monsters.

While killing the monsters some knights were amazed how fast Scarlett's killing the monster.

Knight: a-amazing...

Knight: the young lady is really a genius to Swords!..

Knight: she killed a batch in a second...

Argos: *slashed a monster* focus on the monsters.

Knights: yes, your grace!

Argos: ( but they indeed are right.. scarlett killed a batch in a matter of seconds.. you almost can't see how fast she can be.. )

Scarlett: *slashed monsters to monsters* ( this is fun.. are there more?.. )

She jumps on top of the tree to spectate the place.

Scarlett: dont tell me that's all of it..

A big shadow suddenly covered Scarlett's view, as she slowly turns back to see a big monster with a jewel on its forehead.

Argos: scarlett, get out of the way!

Scarlett: ( a big one?... )

Monster: arghhh!

The monster made a move to hit scarlett but scarlett quickly dashed it as she jumps on its body.

Scarlett: ( amazing... )

The knight, Noah, Argos, Luke, and Tino was shocked to see scarlett.

Luke: scarlett! Get off it, it's too dangerous!

Scarlett: ( is this a magic stone on its forehead... huh.. that's new, I never thought magic stones will appear this early in the novel.. )

Argos jumped to the trees and on the monster.

Argos: it's too dangerous here!

Scarlett; eh, but—

Without a word argos carried scarlett and jumps down of the monster. He puts scarlett down gently.

Argos: stay here, let us handle it. Second commander!

Tino: yes, sir!

Tino casted a spell on the giant monster to restrain it. chains started to surround the giant monster.

Argos: let's go, noah, luke!

Noah / Luke: Yes, father!

The three of them started slashing the giant monster.

Scarlett: ( a magic stone.. they need to use aura to permanently damage the monster.. aren't magic stones also rare to find? )

Scarlett: ( only a few people have this.. since it's quite dangerous if it went to the wrong hands.. )

Tino looked at Scarlett and scarlett watches the three of them.

Tino: . . . ( This child... )

Scarlett: how long do you plan on staring at me?

Tino flinches and looked away.

Tino; apologies, young lady..

Scarlett: cast another spell

Tino: pardon? *Looks at Scarlett*

Scarlett: cast the gravity spell, so it won't be able to move, high the gravity.

Luke got scratched on his back with the monsters nails.

Argos / Noah; luke!

Images of luke dying started appearing on Scarlett's head. As her eyes turned crimson red.

Luke was about to fall when scarlett catches him.

Luke: a-ahh... that hurts..

Luke opened his eyes as he sees Scarlett's eyes turned to crimson red.

Luke: !?!? ( It's those eyes again... )

Scarlett: stay here for now.

Scarlett puts luke down on the tree.

Luke: scarlett, it's too dangerous for a child—

Scarlett: shut up and don't move a inch.

Luke: s-scarlett...

Scarlett jumps off leaving luke behind.

Noah: scarlett what are you doing here?! Its too dangerous, go back— !!

Noah sees Scarlett's eyes turned crimson red.

Noah: ( crimson eyes?... )

Scarlett: goodbye, you mother fucker.

Scarlett raised her sword as dark red aura starts to appear.

Argos, Noah, Luke and Tino's eyes widened to see a dark red aura coming from her sword.

Argos: scarlett! You can't use aura! The monster will explode!

Scarlett: die.

Scarlett slashed her sword at the monster.

Monster: aaaaarrrrrggghhhhh!

A big explosion surrounded the whole forrest.

Luke: scarletttt!

Tino waved his hand as a big barrier appeared to the forrest, protecting the other knights with argos, luke, noah.

Tino: ( the explosion is too strong.. )

The barrier shattered into pieces.

Tino: ( damn it!— )

After the big explosion. Everyone was shocked to see another Barrier was surrounding them.

Luke: hah.. goodjob tino!

Argos: where's scarlett!? Find the young lady now!

Knights: yes, sir!

Argos: Noah, bring your brother inside the mansion.

Noah: yes, father.

Noah walked closer to luke and helps him to stand up. As the barrier shattered Into pieces.

Tino: ...

Scarlett walked out of the fog with her eyes back to green and without a scratch.

Argos: scarlett!

Argos ran towards her and carries her.

Argos: are you alright? Are you hurt?

Scarlett: No.. just tired..

Scarlett looked at tino and gave a“sshhh” sign.

Tino's eyes widened.

Tino: ( so it was her.. haaa.. )

MOMENTS LATER.

After cleaning the mess at the forest and healing luke's wound.

Luke: how's scarlett?

Kaizer: the lady's alright, she just used too much energy. She'll be back to normal after afew hours of rest.

Argos: I see.. thank you.

Kaizer: ( it is indeed amusing.. her mana even doubled, instead of loosing it only added more.. there's a possibility where the young lady can be a vessel.. but for who?.. )

A FLASHBACK THEN CAME.

Kaizer: so what did you found?

Unknown: there are no signs of the O'Hara duchy to be involved of having dark magic.. especially the young lady scarlett.

Kaizer: interesting.. then it must be someone protecting the lady.

Unknown: other than the lady's birth and the rumours about her, there are nothing more to find out.

Kaizer: how about the lady's mother?

Unknown: lady stella, came from an unknown family, however there were no results of her being able to use dark magic nor any type of magic. The maids added that the lady's mother didn't go out that much.

Kaizer: that's true.. the lady couldn't probably be one of the Lia Duchy, don't you think?

Unknown: that would be impossible, your highness. There are no one in the Lia Duchy who had silver hair and green eyes.

Kaizer: indeed.. this silver hair..

Unknown: what's possible is that the lady came from another kingdom or empire.

Kaizer: find out what you can.

Unknown: Understood.

Noah: did you find anything else? You've been staring at her for quite some time.

Tino: . . .

Kaizer: perhaps, the young master saw something?

Noah: her eyes, earlier turned crimson red like father's and Luke. What does that mean?
