Episode 15

Every day, Beryl finished exhausted from using the spell, so as soon as he bathed and had dinner, he fell asleep until the next day. However, thanks to that training, he was gradually getting used to spending his mana, and his body was adapting to the spell. Two weeks later, Frederick finally received information about Beryl.

A dragon had had a romance with a human, giving birth to a girl, but since she could not transform, she ended up staying with her father, as the dragon had to return to her clan. This was how the girl married and started a family, one of her children being Beryl's grandmother, who also married a nobleman and gave birth to her only daughter, Beryl's mother. But as her family fell into ruin and her grandmother passed away from illness, Beryl’s grandfather sold the omega's mother to the count so she could work as a maid. Being beautiful, the count seduced her, but as soon as he found out she was pregnant, he rejected her, and the young woman escaped, managing to return to her father. However, due to an illness when Beryl was five years old, the woman passed away, and Beryl's grandfather took the young omega to the count, who, in order to avoid a scandal, accepted the child as a servant. Of course, the little boy suffered, being cruelly beaten by the duke's wife, until they finally used him as a sacrifice.

Of course, Frederick gives this information to Beryl, confirming that he indeed descends from dragons and is thus capable of using that spell. Beryl remained silent; Frederick assumed it must have been a hard blow to learn what his family did to his mother.

“Hey, does my mom's father still live?” he asked.

“Yes, he won a huge sum in a casino and now has a good life.”

“Do you know where?” he kept his gaze down.

“Yes, do you want to see him? I don't think it’s a good idea,” he replied, somewhat worried.

“I’ll see him, but not because I want a family reunion. I want revenge; I’ll ruin his good life,” he expressed angrily.

In the name of the true Beryl, he would take revenge for his mother. The dragon agreed to take him where he wanted, but that would be later; for now, it was better to stick to the current plan. Once in Drigel, Beryl would be able to move freely and then seek out that man. Beryl thought about it a bit, but it made sense; the dragon's plan was the best option at the moment, and regardless, he would take revenge against that man.

A month later...

Beryl had finally learned to control his mana without losing energy due to the use of the spell, so it was time to put his plan into action, and he needed an entrance that would impact everyone. He thought of descending at the temple on the back of Frederick, so everyone would know that the dragon meant him no harm and was on his side.

“So you like being the center of attention. Maybe you should jump from up high and land on the cardinal’s feet,” he teased.

“Sure, and I’d break all my little bones,” he crossed his arms, pouting.

“But you’d get more attention,” he said with a smirk.

Beryl just glared at him angrily, unable to believe he was teasing him. With everything ready, Frederick, transformed into a dragon, waited for Beryl to start their plan, though he was surprised to see him come out accompanied by Angela and Rina, as Beryl was wearing a lovely white dress filled with ruffles. Even though he was a boy, he looked perfect in that dress. Beryl, surprised to catch him staring, smiled teasingly.

“What’s wrong? Have you fallen in love with my beauty?” he grinned mockingly.

“No, I just thought it was the first time I’ve seen a pink rat wearing a dress,” he shot back.

“You’ll see. Don’t challenge me or I’ll make you drool for me,” he said confidently.

Frederick merely rolled his eyes at the little omega's comment and ordered him to get on. Beryl climbed onto his back, flying toward Drigel.

That day at the temple, a ceremony was taking place, honoring the temple's anniversary and celebrating their success in the ritual, as they had been free from demons thanks to the dragon. Everyone was seated in the garden, where chairs had been carefully arranged. This celebration was interrupted by a thunderous roar, and they watched as the enormous dragon landed in the garden. In their fright, the attendees scrambled to hide, while the palace knights stood at the front, ready to attack, even knowing they would be powerless. The kings present were also scared; Harris stood in front of Alison, protecting her.

"Stay away, beast! We have given the sacrifice; you have no right to interrupt our celebration," the cardinal spoke.

The dragon lowered its body, and to everyone's astonished gaze, Beryl stepped down from its back and took a few steps forward while the dragon remained still.

"N-no puede ser...e-esta..." the cardinal stammered nervously.

"Alive? Yes, I am," she raised her hands, and the seal shone brightly. "The goddess has sent me to stand by the dragon and assist it against the demons," she spoke calmly.

Everyone looked confused; no one had expected something like this, much less believed it possible for an omega to return alive and upon the dragon's back.

"The goddess? That's not possible! How could the goddess speak to an omega?" the cardinal protested.

"She did! She sent me; she is angry about everything that has been done, sacrificing innocents in the name of her precious temple, a sacred place where there should be no sacrifices," Beryl replied.

Frederick let out a roar aimed at the cardinal, who took a few steps back.

"Why would the goddess send you with that beast? It is not the temple that demands sacrifices; it is that creature," the king pointed out.

"And who says that? Since ancient times, the dragon has protected them, yet the temple has sacrificed in the name of any god, even when the dragon has never abandoned them. Who are the true beasts?" Beryl shouted.

Having said that, she unleashed an electric discharge near the king's feet, causing him to fall back in shock, quickly assisted by his guards.

"You only murder innocents," she pointed at the cardinal. "The goddess has sent me to stop this absurd tradition, and proof of that is that the dragon is on my side. The goddess commands you to cease sacrifices, or I will wipe you out," she raised her hand.

The dragon lifted its head to the sky, and upon releasing a roar, the heavens darkened, and lightning began to strike the temple windows. This terrified the people; some fled, while others knelt down and made reverence. The queen and those at the temple looked worried; the king didn’t know how to react, while Alison clung to the prince’s arm, frightened by the unfolding chaos.

"I, the goddess's envoy, will protect you from demons, but if you spill blood as a sacrifice, I will destroy the kingdom; that is the command of the goddess," she regarded everyone arrogantly.

Beryl's gaze turned towards Alison, and she flashed a sly smile; those false heroes would be humiliated. The dark clouds dissipated, and calm returned. They could also see the dragon transforming into a human form, revealing an attractive man with red hair. Beryl approached him and took hold of his arm. The attendees were once again astonished to see that the dragon could take human form.

"I, the goddess’s envoy and the dragon's wife, request accommodation at the temple; I hope this request will not be denied," she looked at the cardinal.

"O-of course not; you will be welcome…" the queen responded, still confused.

Beryl smiles and, along with Frederick, they enter the temple. Harris approaches his mother, seeking an explanation for what just happened, but it is clear that she knows nothing, even the cardinal admits he knows nothing. However, if that omega is alive and in the company of the dragon, they cannot take things lightly; something has happened. If indeed the goddess has sent him, they cannot harm him, or they would face punishment. The counts, parents of Alison who were hiding, felt frightened. If that omega was alive, he might seek revenge for being delivered as a sacrifice.

"H-he can't do anything to us... it's because of us that he has become the goddess's messenger," the countess excuses.

"Y-yes... he deserves my respect; I am his father..." the count tries to excuse himself as well.
