Beryl made Frederick take him to an island, one that was inhabited by dragons long ago, but now, no one occupied the island. Beryl knows that in a cave on that island was hidden the sword capable of killing a dragon since it is made with the core of an ancient dragon king. That sword is the one the prince used to kill Frederick, but this time, Beryl will take that sword and prevent that pair of false heroes from using it against the dragon.
Upon reaching that mountain on the island and descending, Frederick takes on his human form, while Beryl stares at him from top to bottom and looks at him doubtfully.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something strange about me?" he asks in confusion.
"Yes, you have clothes on." She points out.
"Of course, what did you expect? That I would appear naked?" he replies somewhat angrily.
"I thought clothes ripped when you transformed. What a scam." She puffs out her cheeks.
Before Frederick can answer, Beryl points out the entrance to the cave and that they must go to the end of it, since that is where what he is looking for is located.
"Can you at least tell me what you are looking for?" he asks curiously.
Frederick lights a small flame in his hand to illuminate the place as they walk.
"A sword made from the core of a dragon. I want you to keep it or it would be a danger to you." He explains.
Beryl hears a grunt from the dragon and when he turns around, he notices that he was annoyed. Beryl knows that the dragon might distrust him.
"How do you know that sword is here? For what purpose do you seek to have it?"
"I already told you, so you can keep it. I heard about it in the king's palace, the crown prince is looking for it... you can imagine what for..." he lies.
Frederick remains silent, he never really expected that in the kingdom they would know about that sword, even he did not know its whereabouts, but the little omega now knows perfectly well where it is, that is suspicious, did he also find out about its location in the palace? , it will be better to keep an eye on him.
After a long road, they arrived at a kind of altar, with a high ceiling, where there was a small entrance of light from above. Beryl approaches that altar, but it was all full of mold, dirt and some plants. The omega checks, finding the seal, when he touches it, it opens revealing a dark corridor. Frederick follows him, entering to illuminate with the flame of his hand. They had to walk a little further until they reached a kind of seal in the middle of that room and there it was, floating the sword above this seal.
Beryl, seeing it, quickly approaches and carefully steps inside the pentagram, it does not activate, so he takes the handle of the sword and the seal stops shining, dropping the sword, Beryl holds it tightly, feeling like a great energy runs through his body, it is surely the mana of that core. Beryl returns to the dragon to show him said sword.
"It's better if you keep it in a safe place, you can't let anyone have it." Beryl asks.
Frederick looks at the sword, it was beautiful, its color made it look unique and he can feel that it possesses a great amount of mana. Frederick grabs the sword, feeling the energy course through his body, just as Beryl felt it.
"Are you sure you want to give it to me? It could be a useful weapon for you." Frederick mentions.
"What if they steal it from me? Remember that I am still weak, look at my little arms, they couldn't carry that sword." He shows his arms.
Frederick barely stifles a laugh, but tries to look serious at the omega.
"Well, then I'll keep..."
They both hear a couple of voices inside that cave, so Beryl takes Frederick's hand so they can hide behind the stalagmites that were at the back of the cave. Soon they see two people appear, it was a young woman with brown hair and yellow eyes and a boy with blond hair and blue eyes, wearing quite elegant clothes.
Beryl knows perfectly well who they are, they are Alison and the Crown Prince, Harris, both arrive at the seal, but it was now just a drawing on the floor, as it stopped emitting light when Beryl took the sword.
"There's nothing here... Are you sure this was the right place?" Alison asks.
"The map showed this location, I don't understand, the sword should be here." Harris seems frustrated.
"What will we do? At this rate the dragon will continue to torment our kingdom." She speaks with concern.
"We cannot give up, we must protect our kingdom from that dragon, we will not let it continue to demand sacrifices."
Beryl clenches his teeth and restrains himself from coming out and yelling at them that they are the ones making the dragon do this, not his hateful temple that thinks sacrificing maidens saves them from demons. Frederick holds him by the arm to keep him from moving.
That couple decides to leave, since there was nothing in that place, seeing that they were no longer in sight, Frederick and Beryl come out of their hiding place.
"Those sons of btches, they think they are the saviors and the good guys in the story, fck them, they'll see, the first kingdom I'll destroy will be theirs," he says angrily.
"Calm down, at least they don't have the sword. Let's get out of here."
Frederick carries the omega like a sack and makes a pair of wings with red feathers appear, rising towards that hole in the cave, it was small, so he launches an attack that blows up the place, opening the hole further and the rocks fall, this won't get the attention of Alison and Harris because they'll surely think the cave collapsed. Frederick flies in the opposite direction from the cave exit to prevent that pair of invaders from seeing them. For his part, Beryl hugs the sword while being carried like a sack.
"Let's go down," Frederick mentions.
The dragon descends and being in the forest, far from that place, he transforms into a dragon, letting Beryl climb on his back again. As they move away from that island, Beryl thinks, if that pair of fools have already gone for the sword, it means that Alison already knows that Beryl is her brother and believes that he is dead, but how did they get the sword, now she doesn't know what that couple will do. I need to come up with something to prevent Alison and Harris from wanting to kill the dragon, could he go to town and let Alison see that he is alive? No, that would make them see that the dragon is not killing the sacrifices, which is not convenient, maybe they should eliminate the temple? That would be an option, since they are the ones who manipulate the kings to make those sacrifices. But how could he finish them off? If they go and destroy everything, the king will want to attack the dragon.
"You're very quiet, I wonder what's going on in that head of yours now?"
"I'm thinking about how I should destroy the temple. Maybe if you fly over there and with a 'dragarys', you could burn the place down." He mentions.
"What is that? I really wouldn't burn down the temple, that would only cause a witch hunt against me. Why do you think I haven't done it? I wanted to stop the sacrifices and they just looked for someone else to dedicate the sacrifice to, those priests are just looking for a way to spill blood." He clicks his tongue.
"True, we need a better plan. What if you now ask for 100 priests as a sacrifice, that they stab them in the balls so that their blood spills on the altar." He laughs.
"Ugh, not even demons would want that sacrifice."
"True. That's disgusting." He makes a gesture of disgust. "But, there has to be a way to end this horrible tradition of sacrifices."
He needs to think of something that will not harm the peace of mind of the dragon and the people who live in that castle, since they have been very good to him.
