Chapter 4 Trial of the Century

It was morning and Celine woke up relieved only to figure out she is *****. Her eyes shift over to Derrick who was getting ready for royal court.

"Looks like someone is awake. You bite and you scratch like a little kitten!" Growled Derrick as he looked back, grimacing at Celine.

Derrick reached his hand out and grabbed Celine's hand quickly pulling her out of bed. "Dress my Queen in luxury! Dress her in the royal court wear, she will help me judge the royal court!"

The Merina and Melina nodded walking towards Celine. A sweetheart neckling dress of red and gold trimming adorned by pearls and diamonds with a sash over her shoulder the badge of royalty with a crown on her head.

Merina smiled softly as she talked to Celine as Celine sat in front of the Vanity. "Your highness, you look wonderful and gorgeous! The Coronation will be next month you will be wedded to His highness soon. He really does favor you over Fantasia!"

Celine eyes widened the girl in the library in the priestess clothing and the girl who helped her escape Camila's wrath was a concubine.

"S-She's a concubine?" said Celine quietly bowing her head in shame thinking what Derrick said was a lie. He probably slept with Fantasia and Celine was just a figure head for him to keep a Priestess Concubine who is more qaulified to be Queen.

"Not exactly." said Melina as she brung the veil to Merina to place under the crown. "She is a special case, she is more of a assistant then a concubine."

Celine felt much better hearing that but to know that Fantasia can serve Derrick when she want made her concern.

"Let's go, your royal highness you have a few trials to judge!" Merina grabbed Celine's dress as they rush to the court room.

-In the Court Room-

"The trial of the mansion of Duke Ferdinand! The victim is her royal highness, Celine Umbriel Ferdinand against Camila Reyn Ferdinand." yelled Fantasia as she closed the scroll.

"Camila is a dumb bitch!" thought Fantasia as she looked at the case outline.

"Camila, you have poisoned the queen and falsely accused others, how do you plead?" said King Derrick as he sipped a cup of tea poured by Celine as she sat back down in the witness stand.

"I-I admitted it but it was father's idea to poison, Celine! He said if I get rid of Celine, I could get the king's favor!" Camila kneeled on the spot tearing up.

"Is this true, Duke Ferdinand? Do you hate your daughter that much, you rather see a bastard child that's not even biologically yours succeed?" Derrick raised an Eyebrow at the Duke as the Duke panicked standing up.

"I do not know what this bastard is talking about! She despised Celine so much I never knew such a conflict could happen in my mansion" The Duke Ferdinand shook his head with an act of disappointment.

Camila eyes have widened, she realized she has been abandoned by Duke Ferdinand. She trembled and bit her lip.

"Enough said, Camila will be executed on the first day of Autumn in town square! She shall be beheaded! Gaurds lock her up!" Derrick slammed the gavel hard on the block infuriated.

"W-Wait!!" screamed Camila as she try to fight the grips of the gaurds. "Duke Ferdinand was planning a rebellion if you don't kill me! I'll tell you what he told me of the Rebellion and of Celine!!"

Derrick was now interested as he wondered what was the next 100th rebellion he didn't know of.

"Enlighten me."

Camila swallowed hard and she adjust her face from pitiful to a girl full of rage, hurting on the inside.

"Duke Ferdinand has contacted the Foreign King Leo Warwick! The brother of former Queen! He is on his way to stop the trial of the former Queen. Duke Ferdinand wanted me to marry you so I can kill you and help King Leo achieve the throne. He didn't want to use Celine as his chess piece because House Celeste has the curse of loyalty to the kingdom so she would snitch to you automatically. Celine was treated poorly because her mother wanted to snitch on Duke Ferdinand to the former king but the Duke murdered Lady Celeste, pinning the blame on Celine by covering her in her mother's blood. Celine bears the superior mark of Celeste not the house of Ferdinand meaning she is not useful to continue the bloodline she only benefits house Celeste! I'm the Duke's illegitimate daughter I bear his mark!"

Camila's word-vomit left her breathless as she huffed and puffed dripping sweat. Silence fill the courthouse and the members of House Celeste that were there to support Celine, glared at Duke Ferdinand who broke out into a cold sweat.

Celine was confused and shocked by this new found information, she didn't understand why Duke Ferdinand would blame a little girl for murdering her mother but she realized the man who pretended to show her love was just plain evil. Is this why people pity her because she bear the mark of Celeste because she was Lady Celeste daughter? They know she was nice and will automatically be honest/ trustworthy even if she tries to lie. Celine lips parted and she looked at the now mature Camila.

"I heard enough, for justice of House Celeste and the fall of House Ferdinand!! Camila title will be stripped of a noble lady and be a maid for the palace laundry hall as a sign of compassion. However Duke Ferdinand will take the place of Camila in the execution. Duke Ferdinand for committing sins of murder of a protected Royal Noble lady and conspiracies against the King for a Rebellion of treason, treason against the royal family by using foreign allies, poisoning of a royal member, you'll be tortured then executed by beheading!!" Celine face scrunched in disdain and her scowl turned into gritting of teeth.

Derrick never knew Celine could be this cruel it just impressed him more. Celine sighed as Duke Ferdinand screamed for mercy and Camila was dragged away to the maid quarters.

"On to the next trial! Former-Queen Lilith versus the-" Fantasia voice echoed.

As former queen Lilith stood up a clap could be heard a black hair adonis with blue eyes dressed in royal clothing of the country of the neighboring country of Ignis smirked.

"Why your highness you're as confident as a true queen shame my sister couldn't be as gutsy as I can see why she lost...A beauty and " said the Adonis. Derrick teeth gritted, Celine was confused and Fantasia glared.

"Brother!" Exclaimed Lilith as she got up quickly.

"Leo...! How dare you interrupt our trial, you're we are in my country not yours!" Exclaimed Derrick as he stood up slamming his hands down on the table.

"That girl doesn't deserve to be there it should be Lilith next to you! Lilith come take your place next to the king!" Leo held his hand out as both the sibling look at each out both with sinister looks. "It's a little hot, you've been wearing heavy clothes lately right? You should lighten up it's quiet hot in the court."

Lilith revealed a little baby bump of 4 months on her stomach barely noticeable. Derrick couldn't believe it he never touched Lilith, Celine was shocked and hurt, Fantasia was not buying it as she knew this could not be Derrick's child. The court whispered among themselves, everyone was bewildered the only woman they heard of Derrick touching in the whole 2 years of Lilith being Queen up to now was Celine breaking the record of 3 days ago.

"Ah, I was going to tell you I was pregnant my king! My king please spare mercy for you heir! I know I was wrong!" Kneeled Lilith as she smirked to herself to force Derrick to reinstate her title or at least not execute her soon.

Derrick stayed silent and looked at Celine who was already emotionless knowing he might hurt her more by doing this.

"I will delay this trial, Lilith Eliene Warwick will be crowned Consort alongside same rank as Fantasia Abella. Due to her being pregnant with an heir the trial will resume once the child is born. She will settle in the Golden Blossom Consort Chamber" Derrick words quietly faded causing a shock to everyone.

"Trial, dismissed."

Fantasia scuffed and walked away as Leo watched Celine being helped up by Derrick he takes her away to the direction of the royal tea room trying to comfort her.

As they walked down the hall, Celine hick ups could be heard as she cried her mother's death, Lilith making a comeback, Derrick's possible betryal of lying to her of being the only girl he wants.

"Derrick, please I beg you, don't ever lie to me ever again!" as Celine started chocking up blood pools out her mouth as she fainted into his arms from the stress.

"Celine what do you mean!? Wake up Celine!! I need a royal physician!!" Said Derrick as he felt the warmth fading from her cheeks as he kneeled with her.

"God, Is this the cost of being King?! I finally loved a woman at first sight after years of being lonely, are you going to take her from me!?" screamed Derrick as Leo and Lilith smiled at the scene from afar.

"Oh, big brother Leo you have really went so far to give that Camila girl that rare poison. Thankfully she succeed in poisoning Celine. I thought she would be a threat." Lilith rubbing her stomach smiling.

"I didn't know that Celine was a beauty, I wouldn't give the Wild Goose Grass poison if I knew. If Derrick doesn't cure her in a year she will be infertile then the poison will spread to her heart, fatally killing her." Leo smirked watching the two as a physician came to tend to Celine.

"All for you, younger sister! I heard the Royal Hunting Games will be held in the Mirror Snow Forest there is a dangerous beast in the forest...I look forward to joining this year..."

Both Sibling walked towards the Garden as Maids from Ignis followed them.
