Ch 3: High school.

Merceline and Rune knew eachother from highschool. Merceline was a senior while Rune was junior of Merceline. Rune was a topper while Merceline was barely passing her class. Merceline used to get bullied because of her poor grades or other things until she met Rune. Rune was a top student as always plus he was hansome, for that reason he was popular and no one dared to mess with him. The day they met was unforgettable. It was a shinny day yet it was another dark day for Merceline. She didn't want to go school that day but her mom forced her to go. ❝Mom!! Just one dayy, I won't die if I don't go one dayy!!❞ Her mom said, ❝Surely you won't die, but your grades will be lower then before, you have to go and thats final, don't dare to argue back!!❞ ❝Momm!! Pleasee!! Just this one dayy!!❞ ❝I said, NO ARGUING!!❞ Merceline didn’t said anything after this and got ready for school. She was still thinking about the thing she said. "I won't die if I won't go one today." She was thinking about being bullied again, even though, the destiny decided something else for her. She was already infront of school and she didn’t even realised how she got here while her mind was filled with all kind of questions. " I'll be builled again? Why it has to be me? What did I've ever done to them? I was nice to everyone, wasn’t I? Why just I can't have a peaceful day?? I don’t even have a friend to spend the day, why no one wants to be my friend?? " She was crying silently while standing infront of her school gate. Suddenly a boy asked her. ❝Hey, are you fine? Why are you crying❞ ❝You don't like school?❞ Merceline didn’t even looked at the boy, she just ran away while the boy was asking her questions. The last thing the boy said was, ❝ATLEAST BE HAPPY ABOUT THE WEATHER, IT'S NICEE!❞ He shouted so that the mystery crying girl can hear him. And he wonders if she did. Fortunately, she did and she was looking at the sky while wiping off her tears. She still didn’t enter in the building even though she's in the ground. ❝Here's another day of being bullied.❞ While thinking this, she enter into the building and the least person she wanted to meet first was her bully. She wanted to hide but before that her bully saw her and called her out. ❝Mercelineee!! We are heree!!❞ While unsure of whether to run away right now and get beaten up later or get beaten up now and show up in class like nothing happened. She walked towards her. ❝W-w-what do you want mi-miss A-a-asteria?❞ ❝Aww, that's cutee, but call me miss only, even though, I know, I love my name, I don't prefer to hear it again and again from your mouth.❞ ❝ye-yes miss.❞ Then she and her other friends took Merceline to the back ground of the school and pushed her on the ground. Asteria also took a baseball bat while coming to the playground. ❝Asteria!❞ ❝Oh look, who can speak without even stuttering! Our little princess has learnt how speak, Isn't that amazing?❞ While Asteria was saying that, her other friends were laughing on Merceline. She wanted to run away but Asteria hitted her with the bat and Merceline fall down again. Her head started to bleed. ❝Aww, is our little princess bleeding?!❞ Asteria hold Merceline's face and said, ❝No one needs a loser like you, not even your parents.❞ Merceline just stared at Asteria with teary eyes and Asteria started to hit her with the bat again. She was beating Merceline like she would have killed her today. Asteria's friends tried to stop her but she didn’t stopped. She stopped when Merceline was unconscious. ❝It's not fun to beat her when she's unconscious. Let's go back to class. It's almost time to start.❞ Then, they went back to class like nothing happened. Merceline was on the ground unconscious, a girl found her and took her to the nurses office. After being treated, Merceline got conciousness and saw that a girl was sitting next to her. It was a junior. She was staring at the girl because of the cuteness she had. She was about to ask the girl who she was but it seems like she couldn’t talk. She couldn't open her mouth to speak or thank her for taking her in the nurses office. The girl saw that Merceline woke up and she introduced herself. ❝Hi, I'm Sahar Doris❞ Merceline nodded. ❝I saw you in the ground and you were injured. What happened? Fortunately, my punishment was to clean that ground today and I found you, what if I didn’t found you? You would've died there.❞ Merceline just stared at the girl because even though she can't speak right now, she wouldn’t have told the girl that she was being bullied. ❝Sorry I kept on talking.❞ Merceline shaked her head slowly so that Sahar can understand that it was fine. Sahar understood that she is too weak to speak and decided to bring her some food. ❝I'll be right back soon, so, wait for me.❞ Merceline nodded and Sahar left the nursing room.
