"WHAT drug do we give patients to decrease secretions during surgery?" asked Mr. Galanza to the students.
"Anticholinergic," Lance replied.
"Site 5 surgical complications," repeated the
teacher
"Pneumonia, atelectasis, pulmonary embolism, hemorrhage, and thrombophlebitis," he answered again.
"Or, is Lance the only one to answer my questions?" Mr. Galanza. "Guys, remember that this is a pop quiz. You're failing med-surg. It's just prelims. What if we reach Gl concepts? We're still just surgery concepts. This is a way for you to catch up, but how you can catch up if only the top of your class gets extra credit points?"
"You're a star again, friend," Cheska whispered to Lance.
He just smiled at his friend.
"Give me the type of wounds according to description," Mr. asked again. Galanza.
"Laceration, abrasion, contusion, incision, avulsion, and puncture," answered the student sitting by the window.
""There, the twin woke up," said Mr. Galanza.
The student sitting by the window was Dean, Lance's twin. There was almost no difference in their looks except that Lance was more handsome and taller than Dean, but his body was bigger than his. He is also more serious.
"Alright, let's see who did the advance reading," said their teacher. "What is the difference between hypoxemia and hypoxia?"
"Hypoxemia is low oxygen in blood, while hypoxia is low oxygen in tissue level. Or cellular level ba?" sagot ni Dean.
"Right. What is the common complication of pulmonary hypertension?"
"Cor pulmonale, also known as right-sided heart failure," Lance answered.
"As manifested by?"
"Jugular vein distension!" His twin answered.
"Please explain why."
"Lumiliit ang pulmonary artery. Changes in the pulmonary artery leads to abnormal growth and remodeling of pulmonary vessel which will then lead to
abnormal vasoconstriction and fibrosis of pulmonary
vessels. These changes are progressive and irreversible.
There will be an increase in pressure in the pulmonary
system which will lead to an increase in the workload of the right ventricle and will lead to right ventricular failure. The right ventricle will be damaged soon enough and the right atrium will be affected. There will be a venous return, so jugular vein distention occurs," he explained at length.
"Good job, Lance. Next, given to patients with cerebral edema to reduce edema?"
"Diuretics!" Dean answered.
"What diuretic?"
"Mannitol," he answered.
Mr. smiled. Galanza. "It would be nice to teach if you were all like this."
"Quiz bee of the twins," Novo commented.
Lance SMILED when he remembered one of the days when the tension between him and his twin was very high because of a pop quiz in their medical surgical lecture last semester, almost seven months ago. Suddenly, he wanted to get out of the ICU to see his classmates on duty in the surgical ward.
He has been hanging out in his room and in the room of other patients in the surgical ward for a week. He already knows who the patients are, what the diseases are and the stories of the people in the ward.
Lance just relaxed in the hospital. Sometimes he tells the nurse on duty in the ICU about what he hears in the ward to distract her even though he knows she doesn't hear him. Sometimes he tells that story to those who visit him, his friends, some faculty members at the school, and his mother.
It gets lonely when you're alone. Soon enough, you'll be depressed due to the feeling of isolation, nasabi niya sa sarili.
Just like the previous days, the morning that day was clear. Lance thought he could rest well in the silence of the Surgery ICU when his twin suddenly came to visit for the first time.
"I really thought you wouldn't come."
"I'm sorry I don't get to visit often." Dean spoke to his unconscious body. "I miss you a lot outside so I thought I'd tell you everything so that when you come back it's like you're not gone. Mr. Galanza is waiting for your return, Lance. There's nothing like the thrill of every time there's a pop quiz and we only two of them answered as if they were going to kick each other every time we answered his questions first."
"I miss life outside of this hospital too," he said as if Dean could hear him. "How about Cheska and Nova?" If I can ask, it's like you hear
I.
"You're the one our classmates talk about," added Dean. "They are praying for you to wake up again. Nova intends to shift from nursing to pharmacy, but we are just stopping her because it's a shame. She will graduate in one year. Cheska, she's going to pop in and out, she's going to show up sometimes."
"It's like you're not used to it," he said. He was able to answer my question even though he couldn't hear me. "How are you at home?"
"Do you know, the other day Lola started doing the daily novena with the old neighbors to pray for your recovery. The guards actually looked for them because they thought Lola had a cult. She really misses her Grandma, you make coffee for him."
"I miss them too. Tell them they came here."
"I'm inviting them to come with me to visit you, just in case there can't be many guards here and two old people don't want to see you... like that..."
"That I look like a wilted vegetable? Don't worry, Dean. I don't want to see myself like that either. It's discouraging. And discouraging doesn't help me."
"If I hadn't insisted on going to the bar, maybe you wouldn't have been forced to come and you wouldn't be in that bed," Dean continued to talk to his unmoving body. "It's so-
guilty every time I think that I brought you to this situation."
"You're too dramatic," he yelled at his twin. "It's not up to you. Also, I'm our older brother, even if we're only a second apart. So I'm responsible for you."
"I know you always think that I'm your responsibility, especially when we live with Grandpa and Grandma. Sometimes it's irritating that you make me look older, especially since we're twins."
"It's ugly, it said don't be like that, eh."
"It gets lonely whenever I realize you're not around," Dean continued. "It's like I'm living a half life." "That doesn't make any sense, Dean, so stop now. It's not really your thing."
"Get well soon so you can come back to us."
"I'm trying," he answered. "But I guess it's as useless as my attempt to get you to hear me."
"Remember when Mom and Dad broke up?" Dean asked. "Do you remember why we lived with Grandma?"
"Dean, what? What you're saying isn't helping, he said angrily but it was too late because the memories he was trying to forget started to flow.
They were seven years old when the home they lived in began to be destroyed. Every night their parents had dinner
arguments over money, doubts that one is left-handed, and many misunderstandings.
Dean always huddles in a corner of their room, hiding and not wanting to show his tears. He will accompany his twin. He gently put his hands on both of her ears and smiled. "Don't listen like they're not fighting."
Every night it seems like a nightmare to both Dean and him, but before they could get used to it, their parents separated
He and Dean got used to moving house every weekend. Their parents take turns caring for them. Until their father Greg remarries. Stepmother Elena was kind to them. They enjoyed its arrival in their lives. They can eat home-cooked food when they are in their father's power.
It was not easy for them to accept their mother Sandra's boyfriend. Stephen has been very kind to them but they feel that he is usurping their father's place in their lives. It took a long time for them to comfort Stephen and finally come to an agreement.
Both of them received the consequences of their families-having two mothers and two fathers. Until their father had a child with Elena. Their father's brother became a boy. Greg's attention was focused on the new son
Of this and soon the twins moved away from their father. Greg didn't notice that they rarely came back to his house. Also because of jealousy, they called their brother "Buchoy" who was too spoiled in the kitchen.
They were in the same situation with their mother when she also had a child with Stephen after they got married. They called their sister "Bebang".
Not long after, Lance and Dean decided to live with their Lola Alicia and Lolo Bernardo and never moved house again. Their parents visit them, but that has become rare because of work. They no longer cared about their situation. The two of them were together until they were teenagers.
Lance spoke again even though his twin couldn't see him. "We moved in with Grandpa because we no longer have a place in Papa and Mama's lives. They have their own families, and we are not part of that family."
"You and I were the only ones who were together, worked together and sympathized. Then here you are, just sleeping with me," Dean said as if aware of his presence.
He reached for his twin's hand, but he couldn't feel his hand and his fingers only penetrated. "I'm still here, Dean. I'll never leave you alone. That's a promise."
"MERRY Christmas," Grandma Alicia greeted the twins, handing them gifts. "I hope you like our gift from your Grandpa Bernardo."
"Thanks, Grandma. Merry Christmas too," Lance said happily.
"Here is Lance and I's present for you and Grandpa," Dean said and handed the gifts to Grandma Alicia.
"Oh, you bothered. Thank you very much, grandchildren," said their grandmother happily. She was very happy when she opened the gift and saw the new cross-stitch set inside. "I have something to entertain myself again."
Lance and Dean immediately put on the new shoes that their grandfather and grandmother had given them, "Your grandfather chose them. We got different designs so you could exchange."
"Where's Grandpa?" Lance asked their grandmother. "Just after noche buena he left right away."
"I just took something from Doroy for a while. Your dad and mom sent something, maybe gifts."
He and Dean just looked at each other and both shrugged.
"What does that mean?" Lola Alicia commented when she saw their reaction.
"Nothing," they answered at the same time.
Not long after, Lolo Bernardo arrived with the gifts sent by their mother and Uncle Stephen. Their father and Aunt Elena gave them cash so they could buy the gifts they wanted.
Lance's flashback to last Christmas was cut short when he heard Dean speak again.
"Has Mama been here? The last time I saw her was when we rushed you to the hospital"
"Yes, he was here last night. He often visits, he replied. He is happy because it seems like he and his twin are actually talking. "Sometimes Bebang is here too. Papa hasn't visited yet. Aunt Elena said when she visited here that Papa couldn't come home right away."
"As for Papa, Grandma said he'll understand. We'll just have to. He can't come home because of his work," Dean continued. "You're sorry if he hasn't visited yet, huh? Besides, we're used to just the two of us and only Grandmother and Grandmother are there for us."
"You're really stubborn," he said. "I must be the one in pain because I'm in bed and Papa hasn't visited me yet."
"That's why I'm telling you these so you don't sulk with Papa. I know you're just as sensitive."
"You are so sensitive!" he exclaimed. "I came from Mama yesterday. I
let Bebang do PT because they don't have time to take our brother to the physical therapist. It's terrible, Bebang's hands and feet are getting stiff again because he is no longer being taken to PT," Lance recounted. Their half sister has cerebral palsy.
"Hey, he's concerned about his brother!" he joked to his twin.
"Bebang doesn't like me, eh. He really only wants you," Dean continued again. "He didn't believe me when I introduced myself as you. I thought I would fool him. Many people are confused between the two of us because we look alike."
"Because you imitated my good looks," he joked.
"So I hope that when your brain swelling is okay and you are returned to the OR to fix your skull, we will change your face at the same time," the twin also joked while not removing the gaze from his unconscious body.
"Why aren't you the one to change? You look like Buchoy so you can see that you are brothers," he replied.
"Cheska can't visit you. She faints every time she sees you like that," Dean continued. "As for Nova, school work can't be postponed. She's very busy. I told her to finish what she has to do, after all, you're not going to leave your seat."
"We are different, can you tell the
Nurse often leg rolling on my body? I think my back and butt are about to get pressure ulcers, eh."
"Sister Janel and Brother Ivan said,
take a bath as soon as you wake up. You've been in a sponge bath for two weeks."
"Yes, well, I can see my body, I feel numb."
"But that's okay, you still look fresh even though you have a lot of wounds. It's a good thing you didn't have any bruises when I last visited you last week with Cheska. I left her here during my last visit. We felt sorry for you then.
"Ah, yes. I did see him here when I first arrived at the hospital as a soul." he says.
"Nel and Robi say hello to you. And they are reminding you to get well soon so we can get rid of those who beat you up."
"Alright, it's your turn. Maybe the three of you will get here where you are now and when I talk to someone besides Peter
"Let's go to a bar ull when you get out of here," Dean continued, "Party ull."
"It's like you've forgotten what happened the last time we did that..." Lance recalled in his memory the day he was beaten at the bar. It was Nel's birthday that day. It started out ordinary
their twin day. After the sermon of Mr. Galanza to the students who came in late and because the scores in the quizzes were low, it took a break first so they students went out to go to the canteen and the rest went to the rest room.
Dean approached him. "Mama is inviting us to dinner tonight. Uncle Stephen and Bebang are with us."
"Don't call your brother 'Bebang'," he told her.
"Our brother," he corrected what he said.
"She's our half sister. And I'm your twin, technically, you're my half. I'm half you, so if she's my half sister, you're her only sibling. Get it?" he said smiling.
"You said corny, Lance, and I almost didn't get it. And you know that's not how it works."
"It works for me."
Dean ordered him. "Lokol" And they laughed. "But are you going?"
"There's a long quiz tomorrow," he said and winked at his brother, indicating that that was the excuse they would give their mother.
"Have you forgotten that too?
excuse we told them last week? It's different.
And one more thing, it's the weekend tomorrow." "Let's say Daddy is the first to invite for dinner."
"Mama knows that Papa is out of town because of
work."
"Is he with Tita Elena and Buchoy?"
"Don't call your brother 'Buchoy'," Dean told him.
"Our brother," he said. "And don't imitate me."
"So, what exactly are our plans?" it asked.
"There are many alibis for us not to go, Dean. It could be diarrhea, a stomach ache, a toothache, run away, fake our deaths, or one of us got beaten up. Go shopping."
"Don't talk like that, Lance. You might end up being a demon. I'm not going to answer Mama's text and we'll just go out tonight, suggested the twins. "Turn off your cellphone so no one can call."
"Grandpa and Grandma might worry."
"Let's just text them where we're going."
"Maybe you two won't sleep again
waiting for us," Lance said worriedly. Cheska, Nova, Robi, and Nel arrived later with their merienda. what are you planning again?" Robi asked. "What
Robi is their cousin. They met it when they lived with their grandparents. They met Nova when they were in college. They met him in line at the cashier to pay tuition fees. Cheska and Nel are younger and have been in their class since they were in preschool.
"Movie, mall, bar... Anything you can think of tonight." Dean answered.
"Just sleep at home. Let's sleep over with Robi," suggested Nel. "After all, it's my birthday."
"And you really won't take us with you?" said Cheska in a protesting tone.
"Your parents won't allow you to sleep over at a man's house," said Nel.
"Yes, but you won't include us in your plans?" interrupted Nova.
"What is your suggestion?" Dean asked the girl.
"I'll take care of it," said Nova. "Nel, just cover the cost. After all, you're rich. Besides, it's your birthday."
"Maybe wherever you take us," said Rabi.
"Oh, don't come," Nova answered. "Nobody said you had to come. Let's have a bar tonight. We haven't bar yet and we're complete."
"I'm game," Nel agreed. "Alright, I'll answer all the drinks tonight. Drink all you can. But you'll take care of your entrance fee. Is that okay?"
"I'll take care of the VIP area," said Robi who obviously couldn't wait for the night to come.
"Alright, let's meet in front of the bar," Cheska said. "But we can also have dinner before going to the bar"
"XXB's dinner, for example" he interrupted immediately
Nell.
"I'm not coming, guys," Lance said suddenly, knowing that everyone's excitement was broken.
"Anol" exclaimed Nel.
"What!" Robi reacted.
"No, no, no! You're coming," Nova said firmly. "We're all in this together!"
"Come along," Dean encouraged him. "You know Lola. They won't let me come if you don't go, and vice versa."
"You know I don't like things like that," he said. "Loud music, smoke that you don't know if it's from a cigarette or maybe someone had a pot session in which corner of the bar."
"Don't be KJ, Lance Robert Vallejol frowned when Cheska said. "Go ahead, please. Let's take Mara with us for fun."
"Sure," Nova said. "It's like having a girl with us."
"Lance, please, the twin begs him. "It's only once."
"It's not really my thing," he said. "I'll just ask Grandmother and Grandmother to allow me
you if you want, but I really don't want to. "It's my birthday you won't come," said Nel
in a disappointed tone. "Since we were young, now you're going to disappear on my birthday. It hurts me."
"And when did you become so obnoxious? You might forget that you rarely went to Dean and I's birthdays when we were kids because you would go with our sacristan friends on field trips to the seminary with the priests."
"I thought because then, well, I was going to become a priest," said Nel. "And I know you're the same. Your parents are just scaring you that they won't give you their gift so you won't come because they're afraid you might become a priest."
"Why don't they want you to become a priest?" Robi asked. "Isn't it lucky to have a priest in the family? And that's also an honor."
"Because they want Dean and I to be doctors," Lance explained. "That's why even though we were under the power of our grandfather and grandmother, they still dictated that we take Nursing and then Medicine."
"What's up? Go ahead!" insisted by Nel and Dean who almost knelt in front of him, he just agreed to come.
"Alright!" He also gave in to their wishes. "But I won't drink, ha! And don't force me."
"Yes!" Nell said.
Time passed quickly and Lance's class ended. They went home first to get dressed and say goodbye. They have also been told
Mara who immediately agreed when they asked to come to the bar.
It was very difficult for the twins to convince Lolo Bernardo and Lola Alicia to allow them to go out at night especially when they were going to a bar. But they also fell on their knees after they begged. They also bribed Lolo Bernardo with coffee and a shoulder massage, and Lola Alicia was his favorite food that was happy even though it was difficult to chew because the food stuck to his dentures. He and Dean immediately left.
They met at the mall where they first ate at a restaurant even though the rest of them had dinner at home like Robi who was always hungry. After eating and strolling through the mall to pass the time, they went straight to the bar when they were sure there were many people there.
The loud music inside the bar was deafening. Alcohol was flowing, lots of people were dancing, and the smoke was thick from various smokers.
They went straight to the VIP area reserved by Robi. Nel immediately ordered different kinds of drinks. They started warming up with alcohol before one by one they got up from their seats and danced with each other and strangers at the bar.
Lance is left with Mara and Robi who are both drinking.
"Why don't you want to drink?"
"I don't like the taste of alcohol," Lance replied to his cousin's question.
"What alcohol? It's alcohol, ah," said Robi who got drunk very quickly. "Why would I make you drink alcohol? Do you have germs in your stomach?"
"You're drunk, Robi," he said. "Stop that first."
"Who's drunk? There's no one here. My mommy said I shouldn't get drunk so I'm not drunk yet."
"You're not making sense," Mara interrupted. "You'd better stop drinking first. Come back later."
"Eh, it's a shame, drink all you can. Nel can only be gallant once in a while, so let's take advantage of it. You know how cheap that is. The dog is even better."
"It's like a dog itch, it's not cheap like dry skin," he said.
"Whatever, Mr. DL number one!"
"I'm number two now," he corrected.
"Ah, yes, because Dean is number one right now. You look alike. One of you should change your face first so I don't get confused." Robi's speech is slurred because of the drunkenness and Lance and Mara just laugh at what he says. ""Never mind, Lance, don't be frustrated that Dean is number one now. Next sem, I know it's you because you two have a habit of taking turns
of position on DL one and two."
"And who said I was frustrated?"
"Isn't it? Because often when smarter
"You twin, your twin is immediately jealous. Aren't you like that?"
"No," Lance replied.
"That's good, that's good." Robi took a shot glass. He stuck the rim of the glass with salt, filled the shot glass with tequila, and put a lemon in the middle. He handed it to her. "Drink up."
He shook his head. "I thought it was clear earlier that I wasn't going to drink?"
"Nel was the only one who agreed," said her cousin. "Alright, I won't report you to Grandpa Bernardo. You're my cousin, eh."
"You're ugly, you said that when I wasn't even drinking."
"Drink, just one. Go ahead, give in to me. You gave in to Dean and Nel's request earlier. Now, it's me."
Lance just sighed and took the glass of tequila from Robi's hand. "Alright, but just one, huh?"
"Of course."
He quickly drank the tequila and took a sip
the lemon that comes with it. "Oh, there." "One more" Robi hissed.
"Didn't I just say one thing?"
"You granted two earlier, eh, so you should also agree to the request twice
I." it justified.
"You really don't know how to talk when you've been drinking," Lance said and forced himself to take another shot of tequila from his cousin. "When you're drinking the gin on the corner, it's time to hit it."
"Gin on the corner?" Mara repeated.
"Yes, because it's our place, the drunkards on the corner love to give this Robi a drink. The drunkards make him drink, they all look after Robi and no matter how many cheers he gets, he doesn't get drunk." he explained to the girl.
"Wow, for example"
It wasn't long before Lance couldn't stop drinking. And because he was not used to drinking alcohol, he quickly got drunk. He and Mara danced with their friends while Robina was left to drink alcohol even though she was alone.
Mara avoids men who approach and meet her. Lance was the only man who could come close to it. The four men are overprotective of the girl.
Later, suddenly someone approached Lance and handed him a glass. "Here!" it said. "A drink for a guy like you.
"Thank you!" he says. But before he could drink the wine that the woman gave, Mara immediately took the lion and returned it to the woman.
"Lance, it's time to drink. You're drunk,"
Mara stopped. "I'm not drunk yet!" he refused. "I can still do it."
"You're right. Let's go out and get some fresh air before you're completely consumed by the spirit of alcohol or whatever that woman wants to make you drink."
"It's you, Mara..." Smiling, he put his arm around her. He saw the blush on her cheeks. "Alright. Come on, let's get some air outside first."
They walked out of the bar hand in hand. They looked for a place to sit where they could get some fresh air and get drunk. Lance bought coffee for both of them and Mara from the vendo machine outside the bar. How convenient, there is a coffee shop outside the bar, he said in his mind.
"I thought you wouldn't drink alcohol?" Mara laughed at him. "You said that drunkards can easily get Robi drunk, well, you are the one he easily got drunk and drank a lot of."
"I just let him. And also so that Nel wouldn't be offended because he only gets free like this once," he said as an excuse. "It's good that your parents allowed you to come here. Aren't they strict with you when it comes to things like this?"
"Actually, I just ran away. I locked the door of my room and said I would go to bed early because I was tired from school."
"You're dead when they find out you're not there,"
he threatened.
"Maybe no one will report it."
He just stared into Mara's eyes. It seemed that it was lost and the face turned red again. "You look like you're still drunk, you're still blushing, eh."
"Huh? Eh... maybe it's just that the redness on my face won't get rid of it immediately because of the alcohol."
"Maybe."
Mara seemed restless with the hairdresser and looked like a fourteen-year-old who couldn't look her in the eyes. "Lance..."
"What's that?"
"Can I say something?"
"Go on..."
"I-I don't know if it's just the ambiance inside the bar, or the alcohol in my system giving me so much courage to say this... but I have something to tell you..."
"What is that?"
"Just now I got the courage, eh, so I'll say it before it's gone... Oh, my gosh! I hope I can say it right..."
"You're so funny."
"Alright, I'll say it. Because- Mara didn't finish what she had to say when five men approached them.
In Lance's estimation, they were a few years older than him and had significantly larger bodies.
"Hi, Miss Beautiful," said one of them to Mara, "I'm sorry if it's a bit too fast
Our approach to you. We've been looking at you for a while now. And we were not mistaken that you are indeed very beautiful and very sexy!"
"Uh... thank you... I guess," was all Mara could say.
Lance immediately grabbed Mara's hand. "Come on, let's go back inside."
"Wait a minute, man, we're still talking about this with you, eh," another man complained. "If you want, you just go back inside the bar and we'll take care of Miss Beautiful. We'll take her to heaven!"
The men laughed and fist bumped one by one.
"What, Miss? Come and we'll make you happy. And I hope you can stay long and make us happy too."
"You're rude" Mara shouted angrily. "This brat is shameless! Short and fat, guess who it is!"
"Miss, even though I'm short in height, you'll definitely search my body and those of my friends when we're done with you."
"Dude, you're getting a little rude, aren't you," Lance said. His blood started to rush to his head. It's like he can't stand a woman being rude, especially in front of him.
"Why are you interfering, man?" asked the man. "Is she your girlfriend?"
"Yes, she's my girlfriend so you can't just insult her."
Mara was surprised by what he said. He only said that so that those who are insulting him will stop.
"Ah, is that so? Alright, let's just taste your sweetheart."
He quickly let go of Mara's hand and immediately covered the man's face. The man fell down and fell on the concrete because of the force of his punch. The other four companions did not move immediately and one whistled. The man immediately stood up and returned the blow but he caught the blow with his palm and punched him again. His nose was hit which caused bleeding
of that. One by one, the man's companions rushed but Lance fought them like an action star.
But the man that Mara and they answered rushed forward with a pipe. Lance got away so quickly that his companion was hit and immediately lost consciousness. But the enemies did not stop joining him.
He dodged one of the kicks but was hit by a powerful punch to the stomach from the other and elbowed in the back of the neck. He fell quickly and landed on the pavement. There the rival group started hitting him with a pipe.
"Lancel" Mara shouted. Suddenly someone whistled not far away.
"Son of...! Let's go!" he even heard one of the men exclaim.
A few moments later, he felt that they had caught him and sped away. Lance's vision was spinning and blurred as he crouched on the pavement. He could feel the blood rushing to his head and face
"L-Lancel" Mara knelt down next to him "S-just a moment and I'll call for help..."
"Ma'am, are you all right?" From the dying feeling he even heard that question from one of the men who answered them.
"My partner needs help, guant" Mara replied. "But don't move him... He might have a broken spine. Call medici or an ambulance"
"Oh yes, Ma'am!"
"M-Ma... Lance moaned. "M-Mara..." "I'm just here, Lance." He held her hand.
He felt the trembling of his palms. "Are you okay bba?"
"I-I'm fine, Lance. Don't take me for granted. Just a minute, huh? The ambulance is coming. They're calling for help."
That was the last thing he remembered before he passed out. He just woke up in the grass where he first met Peter and his bird Maya.
"You FEEL because you're an action star. It sucks
You're comatose now," Dean said, interrupting Lance's recollection of what happened.
"Alright, blame me. Get ready for me
when I wake up, you're the first one I'm going to hit," he replied.
"But I'm good at fighting. I defeated FPJ! Remind me to audition and I'll act. Or at least stunt first."
"Teach me to fight when you wake up, huh?"
"And you have plans to be like me."
"Promise, I won't be like you."
"You know, just a little bit, I'd like to think you hear me. You've been answering correctly and accurately what I'm saying, eh."
"Teach me for next time, you're going to have a fight with someone," the twin continued to talk to him.
"And you really have a brainstorming session in mind. That's why it's said not to show bad behavior to younger people, eh."
"I just know you can hear me. And in my heart, I can hear what you're saying. We're twins, huh," Dean added. "They said I should just be strong. I'm trying that, for both of us, for you who are half of my being. You and I are all we have. So get well, and wake up."
"I wish it was that easy to do, Dean. I really want to get back to the world of the living."
