< An Apologies.

[In Kitchen - Morning]

(Luca, is impatiently waiting for his coffee. Elena, his step-sister, walks in and hands him the coffee cup.)

Luca: (angrily) Why the hell did you bring my coffee? Get out of the room, I will not repeat myself.

Elena: (piped off) Alright, Luca.

Luca: Call me brother. I’m your step-brother, okay?

(Elena leaves the room, visibly upset. Luca storms downstairs to the living room where Aunt Liy is sitting.)

Luca: Aunt Liy, why did she bring my coffee?

Aunt Liy: I was bringing it, but she insisted on giving it to you. And said you..

Luca: You what? What do you mean, Aunt Liy?

Aunt Liy: You think you can replace Luca's mother? No way. Just know your place.

(Luca is furious. He calls everyone in the house to the living room.)

Luca: Aunt Liy is the only person who can cook for me. She's like a mother to me because she's the only one I love in this house. Remember, everyone, no one can hurt her. Mark my words.

(With a dramatic tone, Luca's declaration echoes through the room, leaving everyone stunned.)

[End Scene]

[Scene: Luca is driving his car on the way to the company. Alex is beside him.]

Luca: [glancing at Alex] Alex, did you get everything ready like I asked?

Alex: [nodding] Yes, sir. The black roses and painting are done. However, you have a meeting scheduled during lunchtime.

Luca: Call them and reschedule the meeting to earlier today.

Alex: Understood, sir. I will do it right away.

[Cut to Luca arriving at the company and heading to the meeting room. The meeting goes smoothly, discussing various business matters.]

Luca: [after the meeting, preparing to leave for lunch] Alright, everything seems to be in order. Time to head out for lunch.

[End scene]

[Inside Luca's car, he is driving and talking on the phone]

Luca: Aunty Lily, I got everything done and I'm on my way to lunch.

Aunty Lily: Well done, sir. Just remember to calm down because it's your mistake.

Luca: Yes, but what if she asks for an apology?

Aunty Lily: So you have to say it.

Luca: That's a little difficult for me. I've never said it before.

Aunty Lily: Sir, this is not going to work. You said she is a great girl and a young lady, so you have to man up and apologize.

Luca: Okay, awesome. I'll call you later. Take care, I'm almost there.

Aunty Lily: Okay, take care, sir.

[Call ends. Luca arrives at the lunch destination and nervously prepares to apologize.]

[End scene]

[Scene: Uncle Sha's house. Luca arrives for lunch and Uncle Sha welcomes him warmly.]

Uncle Sha: (with a big smile) Come over, my son! How are you doing, Luca?

Luca: (friendly) Hi, Uncle Sha! I'm doing well. How about you?

Uncle Sha: (cheerful) I'm good, son. Let's make sure Ira knows you're here for lunch.

[They talk loudly to ensure Ira hears about Luca's arrival. They engage in conversation about various topics as they prepare to sit down for lunch.]

[Enter Ira, who greets them with a simple "Hi" before sitting down at the table.]

Luca: (awkwardly) Hi, Ira. Nice to see you.

Ira: (grumpily) Yeah, sure.

[An uncomfortable silence falls over the table as they start to eat. Suddenly, Ira slices a piece of bread with a deadly look, adding to the tension in the room.]

Uncle Sha: (attempting to lighten the mood) So, how was your day, Ira?

Ira: (sarcastically) Oh, just fantastic.

[The lunch continues with an underlying sense of discomfort and resentment between Luca, Uncle Sha, and Ira.]

[End scene.]

[Living room, after lunch. Luca is feeling remorseful and expressing his regrets to Uncle Sha.]

Luca: Uncle Sha, I missed the chance to say sorry to her.

Uncle Sha: Don't worry about it, Luca. I'll give you some time alone. Wait here.

[Uncle Sha turns to Ira, who notices a painting in the living room.]

Ira: Father, you got this painting for me? Oh my god, it's so beautiful! I've never seen it before, wow, that's crazy beautiful.

Uncle Sha: I didn't bring it. It's Luca who did it, right Luca?

Luca: hesitantly Yes, no, yes, I brought it...

Ira: Oh... I'm going back to my room, Father.

Uncle Sha: No, wait, Ira. We have guests right now. Wait here. I have something to do. I'll come back later. Stay here with Luca.

[Ira can't refuse her father so she agrees.]

Ira: Okay, cool.

[Uncle Sha leaves the room, leaving Ira and Luca together as the scene fades out.]

[End scene ]

[Scene: Outdoor garden with Luca and Ira sitting in silence. Luca sitting at a table, Ira on a swing, both looking awkward.]

Luca: [Speaking in Italian] Cosa devo dire, Luca, dì qualcosa. {What should I say, Luca, say something.}

Ira: [Breaking the silence] You don't have to pay for the bicycle. I don't need anything from you, just an apology for what you did.

Luca: I know I messed up, and I'm truly sorry about it.

Ira: No problem.

Luca: [Trying to ease the tension] I brought the painting for you.

Ira: [Surprised] For me? I don't want it.

Luca: No, for Uncle. I mean...Luca (thinking to himself) She accepted my apologies, yet she's playing hard to get. Looks like getting closer to her will be quite the challenge.

Ira: It's fine. I do have a question though. Why so much artwork in your company?

Luca: My father has a deep love for painting and art festivals, so I collected them.

Ira: [Nodding] Good.

[Silence falls again, but this time it's more comfortable. Ira gently swings in the garden, while Luca watches her, admiring her long hair and blue eyes.]

[Cut to Uncle Sha approaching the garden, breaking the moment with a smile on his face.]

[Living Room]

Luca: (smiling) It's time for me to go back uncle.

Uncle sha: (nodding) Thanks for coming son, Come again.

Uncle sha: (noticing the black roses in Luca's hand).

Luca: (handing the roses to Ira) These are for you.

Ira: (frowning) I don't want them.

Uncle Sha: (chuckling) Ira, accepting gifts is polite. Luca brought the roses and that painting for you.

Ira: (reluctantly taking the roses) Fine, but the painting is for you, Father.

Uncle Sha: (insisting) No, it's for you, Ira. Right, Luca?

Luca: (interrupting) Goodbye, Uncle Sha. I must leave now.

Uncle Sha: (nodding) Goodbye, son.
