Jack: [sitting at his desk, engrossed in a book]

Emily: [approaches, her heart pounding] “Hi, Jack. Can we talk?”

*Just as Emily is about to speak, another girl, who

looks familiar to Jack, rushes over and hugs him

tightly.

Jack is startled, but he gently pats her

*back, trying to calm her down.*

Emily freezes,

feeling a pang of confusion and hurt. Jack

glances towards Emily, his eyes wide with

concern and regret. Before Jack can react further,

Emily turns and runs out of the classroom, tears

stinging her eyes]

Mia: [noticing Emily’s distress,

rushes after her] “Emily, wait!”

Emily: [sprinting down the hallway, her emotions overwhelming her]

Jack: [tries to get up from his desk, but is stopped by the girl still clinging to him]

Narrator: As Emily flees, her heart heavy with

pain, Jack watches helplessly, realizing too late the depth of her

feelings and his own. The confusion and hurt in

her eyes drive him to confront the girl and make

things right, but the moment to explain slips

through his fingers.

*Emily: [runs into the restroom, locking the door behind her. She collapses on the floor, tears streaming down her face]*

Mia: [knocks softly on the door] “Emily, please let me in. I’m really worried about you.”

Emily: [sobs] “I can’t, Mia. Just go away.”

Mia: “Emily, you don’t have to go through this alone. Let me help.”

Emily: “No. Just... leave me alone.”Mia: “Emily, please! It’s not what you think. That girl was just a friend.”

Emily: “How can you be sure? I saw him looking at me like he was caught doing something wrong. Maybe I’m just not meant to be with him.”

Mia: “You’re not seeing the full picture. Jack was surprised, but he’s been trying to figure out how to tell you his feelings.”

Emily: “I don’t want to talk to him. I can’t. I just want to forget him and move on.”

Mia: “Emily, don’t make a decision out of hurt. Please, give him a chance.”

Emily: [shakes her head] “No, Mia. I’ve made up my mind. I need to move on.”

Mia: [sighs, seeing Emily’s resolve] “Okay. But remember, you don’t have to face this alone if you change your mind.”

Emily: [nods, tears still in her eyes] “Thank you, Mia.”

Later that day, back in the classroom

Emily: [walks in, trying to keep her emotions in check. As she approaches her desk, she overhears a group of girls chatting]

Rose: “Did you see Jack and Rose together? They looked so cute!”

Girl 1: “I’m so happy they finally got together. They make such a great couple.”

Girl 2: “I hope they’re really happy. They seem perfect for each other.”

*Emily: [her heart sinks, feeling a mixture of sadness and frustration. She wants to believe it, but the hurt is too fresh]*

Emily: [forces a smile, trying to ignore their conversation. She heads to her desk, her resolve hardened] “Yeah, well, it’s for the best that I move on.”

Narrator: As Emily listens to the whispers and

laughter around her, the pain of misunderstanding

remains. Despite the seeming happiness of those

around her, she chooses to persevere through her

doubts and heartache, determined to find her own

path.
