He was having a burger and she was having a wrap with fries at the side. Alex was enjoying the food as well as the conversation. She didn't know that she'd enjoy getting to know Zane better, and she felt comfortable talking to him, although it wasn't a date or anything like that. She was glad that they were able to keep the conversation light and casual.

Alex was surprised to learn that he was a lawyer. She hadn't expected that at all. She was impressed by his intelligence and ambition. She had always respected people who were successful in their careers. She asked him more about his work, and he was happy to share. He told her about the cases he had worked on and the interesting people he had met. He also told her about some of the challenges of being a lawyer, and she could tell that he was passionate about his work.

Zane was surprised to learn she was a mechanic and Alex was used to that. She didn't mind and was proud of her job and the skills she developed over the years. She told him about some of the cars she worked on and he seemed impressed.

Alex was finished with her meal, and felt satisfied and was glad they had gone out to eat. She wiped her hands on the napkin, and looked over at him. He was also finished and sat looking at her. He was really handsome. That struck her everytime. He was tall and muscular with dark hair and eyes that seem to look right into her. She shocked herself by being attracted to presence he gave off. If she wasn't a lesbian she would have definitely tackled him.

Alex saw the way he was looking at her, and she knew he was reading her mind again. She felt like he knew what she was thinking, and blushed. She was getting a bit flustered, so not typical of her.

"Sorry to ask this question but I'm just curious."

"It's alright, ask away." Alex was curious to hear what he wanted to ask.

"Have you ever dated guys?"

Alex thought for a moment, thinking about how to answer the question. She had dated a few guys before but that was long ago. "I......I've dated a few guys, but not for very long. I've always been more interested in girls, so it never really felt right."

"So you've never had a serious relationship with a guy?"

Alex shakes his head "Nope, never. I've had a few flings here and there, a long time ago but nothing serious." She realised that probably sounded bad and he would obviously think, she had classed what they had as one of those flings. She could see it in his face, the way his mouth turned down and his brow furrowed. She didn't know what to say because she didn't want to say anything that might encourage him, so she just stayed quiet. She could see that he was disappointed, and she felt bad for making him feel that way.
