Chapter : 3 A pen down strike

A few days passed away just casually.....

One day our class teacher and our school management got into an argument,I don't know why ; it was definitely management fault,he thinks he is superior 😠

He decided to quit the school andmiddayid day.....

We were unaware of the fact, and we went home .....

When I was in my tuition institute, some of my classmates also attended the same, they got info about it and told us that our beloved class teacher is quitting 😭 😭 😭

It was our last year, and he was everybody's fav so it was so upsetting...

I reached home, and we discussed it in our class group on insta and we decided to call sir...

He told us that it was the matter of his self-respect.. And he puts self-respect above everything…. Fair enough....

Then we planned to do the pen down strike (that's what we called it 😂)

What is a pen down protest?

In India, pen-down is mentioned in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 which defines it as a "labour action". Since it is a symbolic or a nonviolence protest, it achieves goals without being involved in a direct action and demonstration.

But unfortunately we failed and were seated in our classroom, our mood went off... Next Monday was our turn for the assembly, and we decided to make it grand... ( school assembly thing I said in ch 1)

I was the anchor for the assembly and Addison was handling the article...the topic we put forward was" Teacher ", our speech was so good we talked about our pen down strike and why we gave up following the school rules, and then we mentioned the qualities of our class teacher as best teacher with his name mentioned in the assembly.....

Our school applauded loudly.....

Our principal after our session gave a speech mentioning the teachers to learn more..and students to be grateful for teachers……he said "it's not just about a teacher(our class teacher) this is for all the teachers present here 😂😂😂we intentionally mentioned our class teacher name instead of talking about teachers in general !!!!

After going home I and my BFF Wilma conference called our class teacher, and he told us he got to know about our morning assembly session from other teachers......(he was always admired by his fellow teachers too)

He told us he is returning to school tomorrow......

We were super excited.......

We all talked about it in our group..

We were soooo happy!
