Susan's POV

"Hey!! You know what? All the books got sold and have already reached the best selling spot.

I'm just soo happy, all our efforts paid off"

Selene says excitedly.

"Indeed" I say with a smile.

Although I disagree.

It doesn't take me least bit of efforts to write poems. It comes naturally, like breathing. And it keeps me alive like breathing.

"Personally I loved the poem 'If it's for you' it's the cutest, heartbreaking and most loved of all the poem" She exclaims.

Of course it is, it was the most vulnerable I could be. Words are never just words, they have meanings,

meanings deeper than what is said.

Like when he said he'd like to see me whenever I'm free, and didn't mean it.

Let's be honest, we were 7 years together and we knew 3, 4, 5 years or even eternity couldn't keep us apart for long.

He knows me like an open book, a book he has read a billion thousand times and yet I am always in awe of how he's not bored.

And I have read him like an open book infinite times, and again I am left wondering how it gets more and more beautiful each time I read.

He is just the best, too good to be true, and maybe that's why I had to go.

THE POEM

IF IT'S FOR YOU

I was sinking,

Had always been.

Till you grabbed my hand and held it tight,

And so did I.

My bruised-cut skin on your soft strong one.

You looked me in the eyes and smiled

And with relief after countless years of struggle I sighed

But you winced,

And I was awakened from my dreamy paradise.

Your hands looked just like mine.

I looked you in the eyes and cried,

And I cried, and cried,

And you lied and lied

'Not you love, never can you hurt someone you like'

You brushed it off like a fly.

But the bruises grew deeper the tighter you held

And like your hand my heart bled in pain.

'You are not to blame and I am not to blame'

You said it time and time again.

If I told you 'I had to'

It'll be considered as a lie

But darling, I had to!

I had to keep you safe.
