The unexpected encounter

Few months ago ,

I was walking down the streets roaming around just to get some relief from the work stress when suddenly I heard few people attacking a poor guy , although he looked like some rich shit but still he has many scratches and wounds on his body. "Hey there!! you hooligans!! want me to call the cops ? 😏" I said while waving my phone at them but to my surprise they were not even scared ... like not even a bit!!! and now I guess helping a stranger is getting me into a big trouble with him!

"Boss, look a naive girl tryin to act clever" said one of those 4 men.

Before they could take any action, the boy screamed :- "if you want the money then have it!! but please! don't.. don't do anything to her!!"

" now that's like a good boy ." said the bald man before taking the suitcase that the boy was holding while all the strength that he had left within himself.

I was so scared but the fact that those greedy hooligans didn't do anything to me keeps me

assured that I'm not dying , at least not today...

As soon as the bad guys left , I ran towards the guy to help him out.

After an hour , his wounds were properly treated

in the hospital and I was relieved that I can leave too in peace....

"Hey! thanks for helping me you-"

"Most welcome, I'm Amanda and I don't need anything in return and now that you look fine I'll get going."

"wait but-"

I ran as fast as I could so that he won't come after me ever again .

while on the other side~

"Amanda it is"

"You might not want to see me again...but I definitely want to see you again...." *smirks*

while on the other side:-

"Damn! that guy... he was handsome and all but not my type 😌 I am already into Mr William and he's definitely the most gentle and caring person in this world"

I went back to my sweet little home where I lived all alone.

"*sigh* the only safe place of mine"

while I was thinking if I should write and upload a new chapter for my story or to order food or just to cook by my own , suddenly someone knocked at the door.

And weird thing is that I'm orphan and i barely know anyone cause I usually don't talk to people and there are just few of my friends at the company and none of them would visit me without informing me in advance.... now... it's literally 9:30 pm who could it be...?

I was literally frozen until the second knock strike my ears..

But after gathering all my courage , I went to open the door.

"wh..wh...who is it?"

"Hey Amanda! I'm joseph! the guy whom you helped today..."

"huh? weird thing what is he even doing here?!?" i murmured to myself before opening the door after peeping through it.

"Umm... what happened?..."

"oh well... i was passing by and since we are neighbours from today onwards so I just thought of giving these to you"

"I don't think it's needed..."

I said with a straight face cause honestly for some reasons I don't find him trust worthy.

"keep everything aside and tell me one thing how did you even come here and even if your house is just next to mine how does that even make sense that you are being so sure of the 'amanda' living next to you is me???"

"well... i know it's creepy and all but... I just wanted to give it back to you this... the medical fees... so I followed you ...and found out that you also live here... after knowing that we are neighbours, I went out to buy something for you as a gift of appreciation."

"creepy?? it's Scary!!"

I am definitely not one of those persons who would buy that lame explanation but I couldn't help it either since we are neighbours we might bump into each other more often so I just wanted to end the conversation as soon as possible and saying it straight forward at his face would have been a rude behaviour.

"well anyways.... thank you so much I'll keep these gift of yours... i guess you should just go and take some rest I'm tired too..."

"Good night Amanda"

"Good night Joseph "
