An Unwanted Life

Whenever we feel like life's getting difficult, it's a sign that something better is yet to come. Even if we feel hopeless, fate has its way to make destiny come true. Even in unbelievable, kinda weird way.

"Irene!" I turned around as my mother tried to wake me up. "IRENE!!" I heared my mother screaming in that tone and I know that it will never be good if I'll keep on hugging my bed. So I tried to pull myself up. As I fold my blankets, I can't help but get worried about my ongoing enrollment. I was not my self when the professor interviewed me. I'm still on the edge of the depths, trying to fight these monsters in my head in order to survive, which made it difficult for me to keep in touch on the reality.

"Why didn't you take the interview seriously?" said by my mother disappointingly as I go down to eat breakfast. "Don't you dare ignore me Irene! You're foolish to take your chances for granted! It was the best professor in that university who interviewed you, I'm so ashamed of you!" my mother screamed at me.

Saint Maiden Luna was one of the famous and best university in the country, and many students are dreaming to get into that school. Our school break is near from over, which means that we need to get enrolled to our chosen university. I'm Irene, I just finished my senior high school years and my mother keeps on nagging me to enroll to the best university, which is the Saint Maiden Luna. To satisfy her, I took the entrance exam, and luckily I passed. But to make sure that I was qualified, the professor interviewed me. Professor Lucas is one of the best professors of Saint Maiden Luna, and he was in charge of interviewing me. I'm not in my best condition to answer his questions. So I am not confident if I really made it.

"Going back to the conversation with my mother"

"I tried my best mom, believe in me just once," I tried to go back to my room but our fight was suddenly interrupted by a call from my mother's telephone. She's a very successful CEO of a tech company so it's normal if she gets calls this early. "Hello? This is Irina Capaz, may I know who you are and why are you calling me?" greeted by my mother.

"Hello Mrs. Capaz, I am Professor Lucas Del Gar, bringing you a good news!" said by the professor of Saint Maiden Luna.

"Oh My, don't tell me -" my mother was interrupted by the professor.

"Yes Madam, your daughter Irene is qualified to be in this school, Saint Maiden Luna, Congratulations Ma'am. Make sure that she comes to the school very early on the first day of school, June 05, 1991," he said.

"Thank you so much Professor Del Gar!!" and she accidentally hang up on him, caused by her excitement.

"Dear Irene~" said by my mom in a lovingly manner.

"What's with that tone mom?" I know that she wants me to be enrolled to that school for a certain reason. A reason that will surely benefit her.

"We can execute the plan darling, please make your mother proud!" she sang to herself as she goes out the kitchen proudly.

Jared Harringson, the heir of Lander De Tech Lucia, a big company than my mother's. My mom and his father wants us to get married in the future to merge our company and be one of the richest. Even though Jared is one of the handsome faces in the country, I don't want him. Yet my mother doesn't give a fluck. "I'm giving you a roof over your head, I'm providing for all your needs and wants so you don't have any options but to listen to me, that's if you still want to live." coldly said b my mother. She doesn't listen to me as always. I actually never wanted to be this rich, all I wanted is to live a normal life. Like anybody else, without this luxury that keeps on breathing down my neck. "All I wanted is a normal life, no luxury yet has a loving, caring and happy family. Not a family who's using me for their own gains" I whispered as I cry myself to sleep.
