After Aarav left, Lakshya murmured while watching Ruhani sleep, "How can you pretend to be so innocent? How can you look so attractive even when you're asleep?"
In the morning, when Ruhani woke up, Lakshya had already gone to the office. As she was descending the stairs, she bumped into her grandfather.
Grandfather called out to her, "Shreya!"
"Yes, grandfather..." Ruhani replied nervously, knowing that he was an experienced man who would soon discover her true identity.
Mr. Singhania asked, "Why aren't you going to the office with Lakshya these days?" Ruhani could see that he wasn't happy.
She softly replied, "Sorry, grandfather. I caught a bit of a cold due to the weather change, so..." Mr. Singhania said, "Are you not feeling well?"
"I'm calling the doctor right away." Ruhani quickly stopped him from calling the doctor, thinking that if the doctor examined her, her pregnancy would be revealed.
"No need, grandfather. It's just a minor cold. I'll get some medicine later," she said.
Mr. Singhania observed her carefully and said, "You look more unwell than you say. Without seeing a doctor, how will you get better?" He then lovingly placed his hand on her head and said, "Please, don't be careless. Make sure to take the medicine and go to Lakshya's office when you feel better."
Ruhani nodded and said, "Yes, grandfather." Satisfied with her response, Mr. Singhania said, "Now go and rest." After he left, Ruhani called her friend Tanya.
Tanya arrived within 20 minutes. As they sat in the car, Tanya asked, "Have you thought this through? Do you really want to terminate the pregnancy?"
Ruhani nodded, but things didn't go as planned. When Ruhani mentioned the abortion to the doctor, the doctor said after looking at her report, "Miss Ruhani, your uterine wall is very thin. If you proceed with the abortion, it could cause severe blood loss, putting your life at risk. You might not be able to conceive again. Therefore, we advise against the abortion."
Shocked by the doctor's words, Ruhani and Tanya were stunned. Tanya asked, "Does this mean the abortion isn't possible?" The doctor took a deep breath and said, "No, it's not advisable. Please think it over carefully."
Outside the hospital, Tanya asked Ruhani, "If the abortion isn't possible, what will you do?" Ruhani replied, "I don't know what to do either."
Tanya said, "I'll drop you home." Ruhani agreed initially but then changed her mind and asked Tanya to drop her at Singhania Corporation instead.
At Singhania Corporation, Tanya reassured Ruhani, "Don't worry. I'll get a second opinion from another doctor." Ruhani thanked her and went inside.
The receptionist recognized Ruhani and allowed her to go to the president's office. The door was open, and as she was about to knock, she heard a conversation inside.
Lakshya was scolding Aarav, "Last time, I told you to find that girl, but you brought Ruhani instead.
And this time, you've gone too far by bringing a woman who has already given birth. Don't you understand my instructions, Aarav?"
Aarav stood silently with his head bowed. Ruhani, standing outside, listened quietly.
Aarav, aware of his mistake, said, "Lakshya sir, I didn't know the girl had already given birth. The information you provided wasn't enough to locate her. I didn't want to let any girl go without checking."
Lakshya, irritated, said, "Are you blaming me for this mistake?" Aarav, trembling with fear, immediately shook his head and said, "No, sir. I would never think that. I'll have my men find that girl, and I'll personally interrogate her before bringing her to you."
Lakshya, somewhat satisfied, allowed Aarav to leave. As Aarav exited the office, he saw Ruhani standing there and asked, "How dare you eavesdrop on our conversation?"
Ruhani, feeling ashamed, said, "I heard your conversation by mistake. Who are you looking for?"
Aarav, glaring at her, said, "Miss Ruhani, mind your own business. You're here as a stand-in for Lakshya sir's wife, not his real wife. If you keep interfering in others' lives, you won't remain Mrs. Lakshya Singhania for long."
Feeling humiliated, Ruhani lowered her head and said, "I know. You don't need to remind me."
Realizing he had crossed a line, Aarav apologized, "I know I shouldn't have spoken to you like that. Please forgive me, madam. But what I said is true. Don't mention this again, as I won't be able to protect you every time."
With that, Aarav left. He had a headache and decided to get some medicine, thinking that things had been too much lately.
