Ruhani took a deep breath as she looked at Lakshya. She didn't ask him to leave the house again, meaning he could stay. She got up, wrapped herself in a blanket, and lay on the bed.

After waiting for more than 10 minutes without Lakshya returning to the room, she breathed a sigh of relief. It felt like she had succeeded. Ruhani spent the entire night alone in the room, feeling like Lakshya had accepted her offer. Although they were husband and wife, they had no interest or connection with each other.

The next day, Ruhani got up, got ready, and went downstairs where all the servants were busy with their chores. As she asked one of the servants for the kitchen's location, she collided with something and fell to the ground, shouting, "Aah... aah...!"

Suddenly, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her up. When Ruhani looked up, she saw someone looking at her with sympathetic eyes. The stranger asked, "Are you okay? You must be my sister-in-law, Lakshya's wife!"

Ruhani asked, "Your sister-in-law?"

He replied, "I'm Lakshya's older brother, Abhipray Singhania."

Before Ruhani could say anything, someone else's voice suddenly interrupted, "It looks like I came at the wrong time."

When Ruhani turned around, she saw Aarav pushing Lakshya's wheelchair, with Lakshya sitting on it and his legs covered with a blanket. Lakshya's tone was still filled with arrogance. He looked at Ruhani coldly, and she shivered in fear when she met his gaze.

She then realized that Abhipray was still holding her hand. She quickly pulled away and lowered her head in embarrassment. Abhipray smiled and said, "Lakshya, you seem to be very busy these days. I hardly see you at home."

Lakshya replied with a smile, "Yes, brother."

Abhipray said, "No worries, work is work. I won't disturb you two any longer." He then told Ruhani, "I have to go to the office, so I'll leave now."

Ruhani nodded and watched Abhipray leave. Seeing her like this, Lakshya laughed mockingly, "Ha ha ha... Have you already set your sights on trapping my brother in your web so soon after your divorce?"

Ruhani was shocked and angrily retorted, "What did you say? I'm not as shameless as you think I am!"

Lakshya replied, "Oh really? Isn't it shameless to marry another man right after divorcing your first husband?" His taunts made Ruhani furious. Her face turned red with anger. She didn't want to marry anyone; her marriage was forced upon her.

Lakshya continued, "Remember your promise. You must stay away from every member of the Singhania family. If you tarnish the Singhania family's name, there will be no one worse than me for you, and the consequences will be severe." He then called Aarav, who took him away in the wheelchair.

A little later, a servant came to Ruhani and said, "The elder sir wants to see you." "The elder sir? Is he Lakshya's grandfather?" She suddenly got nervous. "Why does he want to see me?" Ruhani's mother had told her that no member of the Singhania family had ever seen Shreya before, which was why they dared to arrange her marriage with Lakshya. But now, why did he want to see her? She wondered if they had discovered the truth. Ruhani quietly followed the servant. "This way, ma'am," the servant said.

Ruhani thanked him and entered the study room. The study was exactly as she had imagined, filled with calligraphy brushes, ink, and beautiful paintings on the shelves. There were many books neatly arranged and a lot of classic items. After taking a quick look at the study room, Ruhani glanced at Mr. Singhania, who was looking at her intently from head to toe. She felt nervous and guilty, thinking he had discovered her true identity, that she was not Shreya but Ruhani Roy Kapoor. She bowed her head in guilt.

Mr. Singhania spoke seriously, "Our Lakshya has been disabled since childhood, and as his wife, you must take special care of him. I don't need to tell you this, do I?"

Ruhani replied, "I understand. I'll take care of him. Don't worry."

...Mr. Singhania continued, "From tomorrow, you will become Lakshya's personal assistant and take care of him." Ruhani was stunned. She tried to protest, "But Grandpa..." but Mr. Singhania didn't give her a chance to speak and continued, "I've made my decision. Shreya, from tomorrow, you will go to the office with him and not leave him alone for a moment. Take care of Lakshya."...
