Derek
As soon as Siena entered the cave, I paced back and forth, visibly nervous. Dylan, assuming his human form, approaches and says:
"What was that, man? What's going on? Why did that whole weird thing with you partnering with the dragon happen?"
I look at him and, sighing deeply, say:
"I don't know, Dylan. But I saw it in her eyes that she needed this. I don't know what this will mean for all of us, but maybe, just maybe, we're becoming part of a new history, my friend."
Dylan frowns, still looking at the cave ahead. Meanwhile, I say:
"We have always lived in harmony with the dragon. He knew of our presence, and we knew of his. It was like this for a long time. But it seems that he and Siena were destined to meet."
Dylan looks at me, the worry evident on his face, as he says:
"Do you think something big is about to happen? That's the feeling I got. Their energy emanated something like that."
I stop pacing and put my hand on Dylan's shoulder, saying:
"Yes, I think something big is about to happen. The connection between Siena and the dragon was powerful, and we don't yet know what it means. But, whatever it is, we'll face it together. Our pack has always faced challenges together, and this will be no different."
Dylan nods, a little calmer, but still alert. I look at the cave entrance, waiting for any sign of Siena. Anxiety grows inside me, but I try to remain calm. She is strong and determined, and I trust that she will return to us.
As we wait, time seems to drag. The sun begins to set on the horizon, casting long shadows over the valley. The silence is broken only by the distant sound of birds and the rustling of leaves in the wind.
And then, suddenly, a strong golden glow emerges from the cave, agitating the wolves around us. Their howls and restless movements echo through the air, increasing my anxiety.
"Derek, maybe we should go in," says Dylan, nervously, his eyes fixed on the cave.
Looking at the light emerging, I feel an inner conflict. My instinct screams to move forward, but I know I need to respect Siena's decision.
"No. Everyone stay in position, but do not advance." I say loudly, trying to keep my voice calm. "Let's respect my partner's will."
The pack members agree, but I can see the worry in their eyes. My mind is racing, and my heart is pounding. Every second seems like an eternity.
The golden light increases in intensity, illuminating the cave entrance as if it were a beacon. I close my eyes for a moment, trying to calm my nerves and trust Siena's ability.
"Derek, do you think she's okay?" Dylan asks, trying to hide his anxiety.
"I trust Siena." I answer, more to convince myself than him. "She's strong and brave. I know she'll make it. And I'll be by her side no matter what."
