Derek

After briefly introducing and formalizing Siena and Jasmine as new members of the pack, I led them to my house. As I opened the door, I welcomed them with a warm gesture, allowing them to enter and familiarize themselves with the cozy interior.

"Make yourselves at home, the house is yours," I say, trying to convey as much comfort and security as possible.

Observing them, I can see the mixture of emotions in their eyes: curiosity, gratitude, and a slight nervousness about the newness of their lives now linked to our pack.

As Siena and Jasmine explore the space with admiration, I feel a wave of responsibility grow within me. It is not only the leader of the pack that they are accepting, but also the protector of their lives. It is an honor and a challenge that I am more than willing to take on.

Leaning down slightly, I place my hand on her head, feeling the warmth of her childish energy and the contagious happiness she conveys.

"I'm glad you're happy, Jasmine," I say, smiling.

I then point to the door indicating the room for her.

"That door there is your room. Go open it and see what it's like," I say, a gentle smile on my lips as I watch her excitement.

Jasmine nods, her eyes sparkling with anticipation, and runs towards the room. I follow her with slower steps. However, I feel Siena's hand on my skin, her touch radiating heat that seems to merge with my own body. A slight shock runs through my skin, an electrifying sensation that makes me tremble inside.

"My God! You are absolutely hot, Derek. Is there any medicine around here?” Siena asks, her face full of concern as she looks around the room.

I take a deep breath, trying to calm my own tumultuous feelings before responding.

"It's all right, Siena. This fever is just a reaction. Don't worry," I say, trying to keep my voice calm and controlled.

She looks at me intensely, clearly unconvinced by my superficial explanation.

"Reaction to what?" her voice is soft, but carries a genuine curiosity and a slight touch of apprehension.

I swallow hard, feeling the weight of the truth I need to share with her, even if it will further complicate our situation.

"It's a natural reaction of wolves when they find their mate. If I don't mate with you soon, it's only going to get worse," I admit, looking directly into her eyes, hoping she'll understand the situation.

Siena is momentarily speechless, processing my revelation. Her eyes search mine for some further explanation, perhaps a solution that I myself do not have.

"Derek..." she begins, but her words are lost amid the confusion and emotions that cross her face.

I look at her, wishing I could say something to ease her worry, but I know there are not enough words to explain what I feel, what we are facing.
