Episode 5: Kind paid everything

The next day, she walked out of her mansion and went down to the village with no armor on her. They seemed to be less tense, and they were walking around her like it was normal.

Some kids are in awe seeing she is the tallest person they've seen. She is embarrassed to know that she is now 6' 2" because she is so used to being 4' 11".

Some kids approached her and asked, "Big sis! How are you so tall?". She likes kids, and she replied, "Well, uh... I drink a lot of milk.", she had to randomly reply to them because she didn't know why her height changed. The kids were inspired to drink more milk. She smiled at them.

She continues to walk in the village and suddenly a loud scream can be heard. "Move out of the way!", it seems like a bandit that stole something and ran with a dagger in his hand.

She saw the bandit and decided to tank it with her shield. The bandit was knocked back and fell on the ground. She punched the bandit and he was knocked out. The villagers thanked her. She was embarrassed again because she never got such treatment.

She looks at the time, and seems like it's almost nighttime. She left the village and went to her mansion. There seems to be a little girl sleeping in her barn.

She slowly approached the kid to not scare the kid. She slowly woke up the kid. The kid wakes up and is scared. "Please don't hurt me!", the kid screams and looks frail. She wasn't going to hurt the kid, and she replied, "Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you.", and she gave a head pat to the kid.

She insisted on having the kid coming in the house with her. The kid was scared because of how luxurious it looks. "Can I, a lowly commoner really come in?", the kid asked. She smiled and nodded. She guided the kid and the kid was surprised by the inside. "So big!", the kid implied. Suddenly the kid's stomach grumbles.

The kid got embarrassed, and she couldn't help but give the food to the kid. "Here.", she put the food on the plate and the kid looked at her if she really could eat it. And she insisted. The kid ate, and it was the best meal she ever had. "C... Can I take this to my home? My mom and siblings might want it.", the kid shivering because she is scared if Ayu might be angered. But, Ayu didn't mind it. In fact, she gave new food to the kid to give it to her family.

The kid left her house that night with gratitude. She saw the kid smile which already satisfied her. She went to her bed and saw the system awarding her for helping future royalty.

Ayu was shocked, she didn't know the little girl was a royalty. But, she didn't care since helping people is what she loved because back in the old world, she can't do anything since she doesn't have a job, was dropped out of the school, playing games all day.

She looks at the rewards given, like usual it gave her choices of three rewards. And the rewards it gives this time was as appealing as [ Just Enough Item ].

"Three rewards to pick, huh? Let's see.", she looked at the three rewards description.

[ Project E ] allowing users to transmute points and exchange equivalent for it, [ Reskillable ] allowing users to grow in skills and [ Journey Map ] allowing users to have a mini-map on the screen which can indicate every entity and place.

"Hm... Out of these three. I can see what I hated the most. Journey Map is cool and all. But, I already have Antique Atlas and I don't need to know every time if monsters are nearby. So... [ Project E ] it is. Because it sounds cool.", she picked the modification she wants to add.

"So, I can understand now that the rules of the rewards of mods have two condition. The first one being time. Which every month, it gave me new mods to add. While, second one is a special condition. This one might be rare since I won't know the quest.", she thought to herself. But, for now, she is fine with it. She created the [ Project E ] almanac.

"Well, good night, world.", she tugged her blanket and sleep.
