Episode 3: New base

After twelves days of walking, swimming and more. She finally arrived in the village.

"T… This is it. A civilization! Still... This is amazing. So much stuff is happening. Well, going back to the old base... Sounds like a hassle.", she thought to herself. She walks into the village. A lot of villagers playing around and was a happy little village.

They look at her like she did something wrong. "Did I do something? Or something on me?", she looked at the villagers being wary of her. She tried to approach a farmer. "Um... Hello?", she greets the farmer. The farmer replied, "Oh, hello young one. You seem to be covered in an armor, are you a mercenary?", the farmer asked. She quickly replied, "Oh, sorry. I'm not a mercenary. I'm an adventure. Why do you think of me as a mercenary?", she asked.

"Well, there have been many mercenaries in the past came here. They usually bring no good news to our village", the farmer said. "So, that's why the villagers being wary of me.", she said. "That seems like it", the farmer said. "Well, can I know if I could reside here?", she asked. "Oh? You wished to live here? You sure are an odd one. Well, come with me. I will lead to the chief.", the farmer replied.

While they're walking she was surprised to know the farmer was actually 60 years old because of how young she looks.

Then, she followed the farmer and met the village chief. "Who are you? We don't have anything valuable or needed anything from mercenary guild.", the chief sternly replied. "Ah, hello. My name is Ayu. I'm not a mercenary.", she said. "Not a mercenary? Then, why do you have armor?", he was still suspicious of her. "I'm actually an adventure, I just got here from my old house.", she said while smiling.

He stands up and look at the window, "This village is secluded place. How did you even find it.", the village chief asked. She wants to say that she have a village finder item, but it wouldn't be ideal. So, she made up a story. "I just walked for days upon days without direction. I was really happy to find a place where there are more people.", she smiled while talking because she didn't lie since it's also the truth. "Is that so, but we can't have you anywhere near here. The village is already full.", he said while being disappointed.

She smiles and said, "What if I live near the village? Can I do that?". "That's good to know that you're prepared. And the lands beyond the village is not owned, so it's fine.", the village chief agreed to her. "Well, I will go now. I don't want to trouble the villagers.", she said. "We don't mind if you want to live here. But, please. I do hope you don't hurt any of the children or the elders.", he replied, and she nodded and left.

"Alright. This should be a good place.", she looks around. She unpacked her stuff and started mining to flatten the surface. She went to sleep. And got her reward choices again, but this time is different.
