Chapter 1: The Betrayal

Haley's heart raced as she made her way through the bustling corridors of Lincoln High School. The morning sun filtered through the windows, casting a warm glow on the lockers lining the walls. She clutched her books tightly to her chest, her mind consumed with thoughts of Jhake, her boyfriend.

Jhake had been acting strange lately, distant and aloof. Haley couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, but she pushed aside her doubts, unwilling to believe the worst about the boy she loved.
