Xia Lianyi was busy translating an ancient text in her quarters when she heard a knock at the door. She looked up to see a handsome young man standing in the doorway, a shy smile on his face.

"Hello, I'm Li Wei," he said, bowing slightly. "I'm the new scholar in the kingdom. I've heard a lot about your work, Xia Lianyi, and I was hoping to meet you."

Xia was taken aback by Li Wei's warm smile and piercing eyes. She felt a flutter in her chest, but she quickly composed herself. "Nice to meet you, Li Wei," she said, gesturing to a chair. "Please, sit down."

As they talked, Xia learned that Li Wei was a brilliant scholar from a neighboring kingdom. He had come to their kingdom to study and learn from the prince's vast library.

Xia was impressed by Li Wei's knowledge and enthusiasm, and they spent hours discussing everything from literature to philosophy.

But as they talked, Xia couldn't help but notice the way Li Wei looked at her. His eyes would linger on her face, and his smile would falter for a moment before he regained his composure.

Meanwhile, Prince Yue was watching from afar, a hint of jealousy in his eyes. He had grown used to having Xia's attention all to himself, and he didn't like sharing it with anyone else.

As the days passed, Xia found herself torn between her friendship with Prince Yue and her growing attraction to Li Wei. She didn't know what to do, but she knew she had to make a choice soon.

Little did she know, Li Wei was not the only one who had noticed her. Prince Yue's eyes were also fixed on her, and he was determined to make his move. The stage was set for a love triangle that would change the course of their lives forever.

As Xia and Li Wei sat together in the library, Prince Yue watched from afar, his eyes narrowing with jealousy. He had grown accustomed to having Xia's attention all to himself, and he didn't like sharing it with anyone else.

He strode over to the pair, his footsteps echoing through the silent library. "Xia Lianyi, I see you're enjoying yourself," he said, his voice tinged with sarcasm.

Xia looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Prince Yue! Come join us. We're discovering all sorts of wonders in this library."

Prince Yue's eyes flicked to Li Wei, his jaw clenched in annoyance. "I think I'll pass," he said, his voice cold. "I have more important matters to attend to."

Li Wei stood up, his eyes locked onto Prince Yue's. "I think you're missing out, Prince Yue," he said, his voice calm and steady. "Knowledge is power, after all."

Prince Yue's eyes flashed with anger, but he bit back a retort. He knew he couldn't show his true feelings in front of Xia. Not yet, at least.

With a stiff bow, he turned and left the library, leaving Xia and Li Wei to their wonder and discovery.

But as he walked away, he vowed to himself that he would not be ignored. He would find a way to win Xia's attention back, no matter what it took.

The game was on, and Prince Yue was determined to come out on top.
