Remembering Provence

The Count was nearing Sicily, Soon it would be taken back. The Count remembered his last conquest, of Provence. His wife Eleanor, was the princess of Provence. Her father Count Ramon Berengar IV, was unapproving of Eleanor's choice of marrying Charles. He was known for being a frivolous young lad, known for his "wretched antics". Berengar did not care about the fact of Charles's supposed "military prowess" and of course his handsomeness. Eleanor chose him of all her suitors due to that. Ramon hated Charles. He considered him and the Frenchmen to be vile creatures, as Ramon Himself was a Spaniard, a hater of the French. Ramon wanted to skewer that dastardly French's brains when he got to sight him again. He absolutely despised the man, and his entire country, the French and Angevins. He wanted to slay them all. How could a vile animalistic warmonger like him marry his sweet little girl. He scirged and raged at the thought of his daughter and that man kissing, and absolutely was sick of the thought of them even having kids.

Charles smiled as he thought of the time he slew him. Charles knew about Ramon's opinion against him. He hated him back. Eleanor loved him, and she still would if Ramon liked him. The old buffoon was no one to decide their marriage. He had power ten times as strong as the Provecians. He would demolish them without any thought. Furthermore, he would absolutely cleave Ramon and present his head on a pike to his wife. Eleanor hated him too, he was a loudmouth, a wretch and an absolute pain in the ass. He was the only reason their relationship might fall. That dastardly Spaniard could have even been worse than the Aragonese Charles was about to face. Charles absolutely despised him just as he despised Charles back. Both men wanted to assimilate each other, mutilate their bodies and demolish their establishments. They would take each other's cities and with no thought raze it to the ground.

...Charles, Eleanor and their son Charles II had gone to Provence to avenge the humiliation Ramon had given them. Charles had besieged Provence and let his men demolish every fortification in the castle. Eleanor did not give a damn about her old home, she hated it too. Charles smiled hysterically thinking about the time he had raced along the Provencian paths, charged against Ramon and had pierced his chest with his longsword, his own father in law. He then raised his corpse and slammed it to the ground and sliced it in half. Blood spluttered all around, along with organs, the liver, kidney and Ramon's guts. His brain flew apart. Charles was shocked to see his brain being larger than he even thought it to be. He thought it to be miniscule, just like every Spaniard's brain. He dipped his blade into the wretched blood, and stuck up Ramon's heart on his blade and paraded it out throughout Provence. It was a grand victory...
