Chapter 2

Michael returned at night.

He was still angry.

When he opened the door, he was welcomed by darkness, and it was the first time.

Even if Michael returned very late, he would find the lights turned on and Daniel waiting for him. Sometimes he even found Daniel on the couch dozing off.

Michael turned on the lights and loosened his shirt buttons and rolled up his sleeves.

He washed his hands and went to the dining table. He haven't had any food since the morning and he was starving for the first time in his life. Usually, Daniel would sent food over to the company for Michael, but today he didn't.

Michael Roberts

*knocks on the table two times*

Daniel would come running and serve food, when Michael does this. But this time it was different.

Michael Roberts

*furrowed eyebrows*

Impatiently, Michael opened the platters only to find them empty.

Michael Roberts

*knocks of the plate*

The porcelain plates, hit strong on the ground and shattered.

Michael Roberts

DANIEL!!

Michael shouted

There was no response even after minutes passed.

Michael furiously stood up from his seat and went to the kitchen, only to find it empty. The vegetables were on the top of the kitchen counter and it was already peeled.

Suddenly a strange feeling aroused in Michael's heart and he quickly ran to the bedroom.

There he found Daniel, on the bed, with closed eyes.

Michael Roberts

You're sleeping, leaving me starving, huh?

Michael was furious and he pulled the blanket away.

But the person didn't show any movements.

Michael started to shake him.

Michael Roberts

Wake up. Cook for me. Don't tell me you have gone deaf too.

However, Daniel didn't show any signs of waking up.

Michael had his confusions as he slowly put his finger in front of Daniel's nose only to find he wasn't breathing.

Michael fell down in shock. He didn't know how to face this situation. He stood up and tried to feel the pulse in his wrist, but he couldn't.
