Restaurant Drama

I stood on the middle of the bridge and watched the boats that are floating on the long river, Damn, the sun is so annoying.

Inside the tower, I never got one bit of sunlight since I was holed up on the floors and is fighting without rest.

This body too seems to dislike going out, I pulled down the large hat I'm wearing to cast a shadow on my eyes since they hurt whenever the sun light hit them.

"Ah, I'm sorry for making you wait..." After an umbrella is put on top of my head, I heard Adrians voice.

"It's nothing..." I just realized this now but Morgana's voice is eerily soft, she sounds like a ghost.

I looked at his shirt and saw the cufflinks that I sent to him yesterday, "You wore them..." I tried to sound amazed and he chuckled at me.

"Of course, its a gift from my lady after all." He blushed a little and smiled brightly at me, he reminds me of a certain dog breed from earth...

He placed a hand on my back and guided me down the bridge to go to the restaurant.

My waist back then was muscular, though I don't look like a bodybuilder, I have a fair share of abs but now...

When I asked information about Edmund yesterday, I told the butler to give me useful pieces about Evelyn too.

And I found out that this certain restaurant is Evelyn's favorite and would often come here on Saturday.

Since the timing fits, I had Livia invite Adrian to the same restaurant in disguise as a thanks for the gifts he sent to my manor.

And at the same time, I'll accomplish one-third of the fifth objective.

"Oh, greetings to lady Evelyn of the Soizic family..." I stood up from my seat and showed my courtesy.

"Maybe seeing her friend here just surprised her and forgot the etiquette for a minute." then I'll act all kind and forgiving.

But Evelyn liked him before because he showed that there shouldn't be such a huge difference on treatment between people of different status.

So after seeing him protect someone so fiercely after a simple mistake, "I never thought that, my lord, is one to react so much over something trivial." it's normal she felt betrayed.

And betrayal leads to anger which causes them to lose a bit of rationality and speak harsh words, "Trivial matters you say?"

"What you showed the lady is disrespect, lady Soizic." Adrian stood his ground, this is fun to watch, who would have thought I enjoyed drama?

And the final blow, "Though, I should have expected such low etiquette education from someone of lowly birth." I almost let out a snort, thank gods I managed to cover my smile my fan.

"Lord Adrian! You shouldn't speak such rude remark!" I pointed out as I lightly hit his arm with my fan.

He snapped out of it and looked at me in shock, Evelyn, on the other hand, took it as a chance to run away.

"I apologize for causing a scene, my lady... I simply wanted to protect your honor as the duke's daughter..." He tried to reason out.

I motioned for him to sit down and just eat, though it seems that he lost his appetite.

I knew I created a brilliant plan. I secretly smirked to myself as I cut the steak in pieces.
