Chapter-1
Jeon Jungkook
My ex was a monster-a predator in disguise
his words hung in the air, fragile as spun glass. I watched him, my brows arching involuntarily
he'd been silent for so long, his gaze fixed on the pale blue wall behind me.
Jeon Jungkook
he was a serial killer
every instinct screamed at me to react-to leap up, grasp his trembling shoulder, and demand answers immediately.
"what do you mean by 'was'?" I wanted to shout
but I clamped down on it, my fingers digging into the armrest
the room felt too small, too stifling
He was scared, that much was clear.
His eyes held secrets; pain etched into their depths.
And I, the professional had to tread carefully
I couldn't afford to unravel him further, not when the truth lay buried beneath his fragile facade
so, I sat, my pulse thrumming, and forced a calm I didn't feel
the weight of my profession pressed down - a responsibility to mend fractured souls, to piece together shattered lives.
but sometimes, silence spoke louder than words
I maintained my cool demeanor and gentle voice, not letting any hint of my inner thoughts show through
keeping my tone even and composed, I asked him,
Kim Taehyung
what do you mean by 'was', Mr.Jeon?
They are intense and piercing, almost as if he's trying to see through my soul
His deep brown eyes, like the finest dark chocolate, held depths of rich intensity and mystery, their warm hue a captivating contrast against his fair skin.
In the right light, flecks of gold danced within those dark pools, adding a touch of allure and sparkle to his gaze.
it's like he's peering into my mind, trying to figure out who I am and what I'm thinking
And as he finally whispered his truth, the room seemed to hold its breath.
he began, and I leaned in, my heart racing
the past tense hung there, heavy and damning
I'd unravel the mystery, stitch by painful stitch.
but for now, I remained still, the room cocooned in our shared uncertainty
he opened his mouth again after a brief pause
Jeon Jungkook
he was shot when he was trying to escape the police last week
ah this case is going to be a fucked up one for sure
Jeon Jungkook
straight in the head
Jeon Jungkook
they didn't want him to escape considering all the things he had done
Kim Taehyung
and where were you when this happened Mr.Jeon?
my heart skipped a beat as the words registered in my mind.
a chill ran down my spine and my body froze as I struggled to process what I had just heard
the room around me seemed to blur as shock and disbelief consumed me.
everything else faded into the background as I tried to make sense of the information that has been thrown at me
the room pulsed with tension, the air thick and electric.
He(ex) pressed the cold blade against his(jk) throat, desperation etched into his(ex) face
His(ex) eyes darted around, scanning for an escape route, but the police had him(ex) cornered.
their guns were drawn, unwavering
he screamed; his voice raw
They knew the stakes - the man's(jk) life hanging in the balance.
But negotiation was futile; he(ex) clung to him(jk), his(ex) grip like vise.
Crimson droplets trailed down his(jk) pale skin, a macabre testament to their deadly dance.
His(jk) whimpers cut through the chaos, a haunting counterpoint to the shouting.
The room overflowed with men - uniformed officers, their badges glinting under harsh fluorescent lights.
their duty was clear: protect and serve
But this was no ordinary standoff.
As he(ex) edged toward the backdoor, the knife was still at his(jk) throat, they hesitated.
The man's(jk) eyes pleaded silently, his vulnerability stark against the brutality of the scene.
The officers exchanged glances, their resolve hardening.
In the split second, they fired
The gunshot echoed, shattering the room's fragile equilibrium.
He(ex) crumpled, the knife slipping from his grasp
The man(jk) sagged, released from his captor's hold.
his(jk) breaths came in ragged gasps, the room now silent except for his sobs
The men in uniform stepped forward, their faces etched with weariness.
They had saved him(jk), but at what cost?
the truth on why he did that remained buried, lost in the chaos - the motive of the crime.
Justice had been swift, but
justice wasn't always neat
