Nathan:
Right after the wedding ceremony, we went to a restaurant to celebrate a bit. I suggested we commemorate the beginning of our friendship and union. I hang up the phone and wait for Maya to finish choosing her souvenirs.
"Nathan, let's go to that photo booth?"
She looked like a kid in an amusement park. While other women would want jewelry or expensive clothes, she is happy with simple things like a souvenir for her godmother and simple photos and cameras. We made faces and took many funny pictures. We even had ice cream in the central plaza of Las Vegas and went to the casino once more. She won another jackpot while I lost a good amount.

As she herself said, we laughed at our misfortune. We went to the airport to return to New York. I was eager to see what Richard had discovered. She really was a very good woman. "Berta, gather the staff for me, now."

With just one death glare from me, she already understood what she had to do.
"I apologize for the rude way I treated you, Mrs. Ford. It will not happen again. All the staff and I will treat you with the due respect. Excuse me."
As soon as he left, she turned to me.
"Did you need to call their attention like that?"
"I had to, Maya. Berta was rude and completely ignored you. It was as if you weren't with me. And if she, who wants to be the boss of the staff, treated you like that, imagine how the others would treat you. I know you are sweet, kind, but there are times when we have to be severe. Don't let the employees walk all over you. You are my wife now and you will have to fulfill the role of running the house, giving orders and putting everyone in their place. She nods her head and I point to the armchairs for her to sit down. I sit next to her.

"Let's start with something interesting, Mrs. Ford. Were you aware that Tim Brook was once married to Natalia Zelinsk before he met your mother?"
"What? My father was once married to Natalia, my stepmother, before he met my mother?"
