 Six years later

At city S Airport a young lady in an off shoulder crop top and mopping pants

walked with her luggage, hailing a taxi and after stating her address the car drove off to the high rise residential areas of city S stopping in front of a building the lady paid for her fair.

 Stepping into the 15-storey-high building she got into the elevator, staring into her phone in showed the CCTV image of an apartment. Stopping at the 10th floor she walked into a well furnished apartment and quietly and calmly walked into the master bedroom, inside she spotted a man and woman making out, standing by the door she watched them.

 The couple noticing her presence and let out a shriek, cocking her eyebrow she spoke" don't stop due to my presence, carry on. The man on the bed quickly climbed down from the bed trying to look for his clothes which he suddenly remembered he discarded in the living room in a haste for passion.

 "Quinn" the man called the lady who caught them. "It's not what it looks like", the man said. "Eric could you then explain what it looks like", Quinn said. Before Eric could speak the other lady in the room who had a nonchalant look on her face spoke "Eric is this your dim wit girlfriend, you promised you would break up with her and stay here with me, why don't you do it now", the woman said.

 Eric's face turned ashen, and he yelled at the woman "Katherine shut up !". Eric faced Quinn who had moved from her spot by the door into the room, she stared at the woman named Katherine and then at the luxury bag which lay next to the bed.

 Turning to face Katherine Quinn asked" did Eric buy this for you" . "Yes" Katherine said proudly.

Quinn smiled and nodded her head, turning to Eric Quinn asked" is this the reason why you wanted us to have a shared account and why you wanted to move into my apartment".

 As if something dawned on Katherine she asked " Eric is this not your apartment" when the man didn't respond she questioned further" the money you spent it was hers" .

 Katherine walked towards Eric while tugging the bedsheets to cover her body and land a slap on Eric's face causing it to turn red with her palm print on his face. Eric yelled at Katherine and said" you also lied, you said your uncle worked for a big company and could get me a job, while your uncle is only a driver".

 With the heated argument between the couple Quinn called the apartment security to come kick out the unwanted guests. Two minutes later three men in uniform entered the apartment and noticing the commotion they quickly identified the person who called them.

Quinn spoke" please kick them out and ensure all the clothes which belongs to the man is removed from the apartment and don't give them access to the apartment again" Quinn walked to the table where the spare key card she had given Eric was, picking up the card she walked to the cabinet, opened it and picked her car key and grabbed her luggage.

 Getting into the elevator she pressed the button for the underground parking lot, at the underground parking lot, Quinn got into her Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 and drove off to a hotel to spend the night.

 She would never use that apartment again She would probably sell it and move into a new one.

 The next day Quinn went to work. Quinn worked at The Inquisitor which was a news bureau, yesterday when she had caught her boyfriend cheating she had just returned from a business trip.

Quinn had been working with the inquisitor for three years now, she started as an intern and later became a full staff. Stepping into the building she took the elevator to her floor and immediately head to the office of her editor- in-chief office, knocking on the door and getting a reply she stepped into the office.

Sitting behind a desk was Mr. Dan the editor-in-chief exclaimed , "Quinn" Mr. Dan called fondly" you weren't meant to return until tomorrow, when did you return"."yesterday", answered.

 Hmm, Mr. Dan hummed." why did you return early", asked Mr. Dan." I had something to take care of", Quinn replied. "OK", Mr. Dan said .

 "Have you started the article", Mr. Dan asked. Quinn smiled and said "finished and sent it to the editor yesterday.

Mr. Dan smiled "you are so diligent that's why I hired you", go on and get settled.

 Closing the door and heading to her workspace in the open office, Quinn sat down and gently reciprocated the friendly smiles she got from her colleagues, while diving straight into work.

 It has been a week since she caught Eric cheating on her, Quinn had changed her address and also blocked Eric.

Today Quinn wore a beautiful black blazer dress

and her hair which she had kept shoulder-length while in college, she grew it longer to be above her waist.

 Quinn was no longer the eighteen-year-old college girl but a twenty-four years old woman.

 Quinn was busy with work today when there was suddenly a commotion at the entrance to the floor, suddenly Quinn heard her name being called by someone she knew to clearly, walking to the entrance Quinn saw Eric who was being restrained by the security, on seeing her Eric pushed one of the guards and quickly walked to her

" Quinn ", Eric called her name and hurriedly spoke" I have been looking for you, you no longer stay at that apartment I have been waiting for you there for sometime, and you never pick up my calls, did you block me".

 Quinn stared at the haggard man in front of her and was silent.

"Quinn ,Eric called her name trying to get her attention, "Quinn I am sorry, let's talk and work this out.

" what are you sorry for" , Quinn finally spoke.

Taken aback by her question, Eric answered "I am sorry for cheating on you and using your money on another woman".

" I do not forgive you", Quinn said.

 Eric grabbed her shoulders and pinching them he said "Quinn please let's talk outside".

"Let go of my shoulder Eric", Quinn said. Seeing how adamant Eric was, the guards who had been standing there quietly were about to pull Eric away, but before they could react Quinn kicked Eric in his shin with her heels.

 Eric yelled in pain" what the hell do you think you are doing Quinn".

"Defending myself from assault". Quinn said.

Suddenly Eric lunged at her saying "let me show you what assault looks like".

Before Eric could take two steps, Quinn lifted her legs and kicked Eric at the side of his ribs and before Eric could react she raised her knee and kicked him at his crotch which brought him to his knees.

Quinn stooped down and said "Eric do not give yourself so much credit, I have been aware that you were with another woman, from the moment you were so eager we should share a bank account and when you wanted to move in with me, I have cameras all over the apartment, if you think about it properly I set you up, and you fell right into the trap".

Quinn stood straight and facing the security guards she said "please ensure he doesn't enter the building again".

And the men picked up Eric like trash and when they were about to leave Quinn quickly stopped them and faced Eric and Quinn said "I almost forgot, the bank sent me the total amount of my money which you spent, it sums up to about 65 thousand dollars, I expect to receive the money back by the end of the month or else you would be in a much sorrier state than this.

When Eric had been taken out, Quinn turned and noticed that the whole office had witnessed the whole scene, and she immediately apologized for the whole commotion.

Meanwhile, on the company's group chat the video of the whole commotion was spreading as someone had been brave and quick enough to capture the whole drama.

Some ladies praised Quinn and others wanted to be like her, meanwhile the men in the group were already agreeing to not get on Quinn's bad side.

The next day Mr. Dan called Quinn into his office, "I witnessed the whole show yesterday, and you were awesome, I can only imagine if I were to cheat on my wife, I am sure by now you would all be wearing black and attending my funeral", Mr. Dan said.

"I called you hear because there is an important press conference occurring at city Y next week, and we need someone to be there". Said Mr. Dan

" I thought someone at" ty Y was already appointed to be a representative "Quinn asked.

"You are right about that but the more the merrier and I think you need a break from this city" said Mr. Dan. And this time do not come back earlier than expected, consider it as a travel vacation, Mr. Dan said sternly.

Quinn immediately packed her bags and was again at the airport but this time boarding a flight to city Y.
