Sandwich

 Quinn Carter is an ace in her major and has good grades but according to her mom" no knowledge is useless". It was Friday morning and the special class began at 9 am, but first she grabbed breakfast from the cafeteria. Heading to the hall she suddenly remembered to check if she carried a notepad for the class rummaging through her bag with the last sandwich she got on her lips, Quinn walked forward without noticing the person who also was in a haste the two bumped into each other and the sandwich on Quinn's lip fell and so did her bag spilling it content.

Quinn was temporarily shocked her last sandwich which she saved for last was on the floor, coming back to her sense she immediately bent to pick up the content of her bag when she saw a man's shoe and remembered she had bumped into someone, within the time of her grieving for the sandwich she totally forgot about the person in front her hastily gathering her items she forgot to pick up her pen which she didn't notice was also on the floor, standing straight her eyes locked on a tall, dark haired and nearly black eyed man he was handsome in a dark, alluring and dangerous manner. Snapping back to reality Quinn slightly bowed her head to apologize to the man, lifting her head she said calmly," sorry I wasn't watching where I am going".

 The man who had been silent finally spoke" I should also apologize as I wasn't watching where I was headed.

Quinn thought why is his voice so magnetic, but she didn't let that emotion show on her face. The man spoke again" I think you lost more than I did with this little collision" . And he pointed at the sandwich on the floor.

Quinn felt anguish at the thought that she didn't eat the sandwich, realizing she couldn't stand there having a chat with the man, she excused herself and headed for the hall, walking into the hall she noticed most seats were occupied though it seemed that not all students was in the hall taking her seat in the available space at the center of the hall.

Damon's pov

 I heading for Victor's office while I was finalizing some things with Caleb my assistant when I turned to face forward I quickly noticed a girl in front of me rummaging through her back, but before I could stop myself I bumped into her but not before noticing the sandwich she held on her lips when we collided the content of bag spilled and the sandwich fell from her lip.

 The girl stared at the sandwich for far to long before gathering her books, she immediately apologized but i couldn't clearly understand what she said as I stared at her, she had an angelic face, captivating blue eyes,pale skin and an alluring heart shaped lips, thinking of her lips I remembered the sandwich which fell and stared at it on the floor.

 Coming to the end of her apology I decided to also apologize and pointed at the sandwich and a look of grief washed over her face ad she looked at the poor sandwich, as if realizing something she immediately excused herself and headed into the building.

 I was about to leave when I noticed a retractable turquoise cased pen and picked it up, it seems like she forget something and I didn't get her name.

         Quinn's POV

 The hall was noisy with eager chatter about whom the guest was, but it abruptly stopped when Mr. Victor who was the chancellor of the university stepped in with another man and I immediately recognized him as the man I bumped into earlier.

 The hall burst into a unanimous gasp on seeing him the vice chancellor continued speaking when the noise died down "I am sure you all know who this is but just for formality, everyone let me introduce Damon knight, Mr. Damon is the CEO and heir of the knight family group, I am sure at one point or the other we have heard of his nickname as the tycoon of the business world, without any further delay let me give the floor to my friend Mr. Damon.

 Mr.Damon ? the man I bumped into was Mr. Damon, out of all the people in the world it just had to be him, why didn't I recognize him earlier.

Damon knight only became the CEO of the knight group two years ago when there was an attempt on his and his parent's life, luckily everyone survived the car incident with only scratches, upon investigation some of the Knight's distant relatives where found to have orchestrated the whole incident and immediately Damon's grandfather the chairman of the knight family quickly sent some of those dangerous relatives to prison and the others were exiled and removed from Damon's grandfather's will.

  The brutality of Damon's grandfather to those relatives were no secret as it was all over the news, and Damon was no different upon becoming the CEO he analyzed all the company's accounts and immediately eliminated everyone involved in embezzlement from the company and brought the company soaring higher than ever.

 When Damon knight took the floor and said the simple words of" hello everyone my name is Damon Knight" the hall broke into mesmerized gushing from the girls who were daydreaming some were even bold to quietly call him their boyfriend, fiancé, husband, father of their baby some even fantasizing about how their kids would be so good-looking with Damon genes.

 Damon continued with his speech, and soon it was time to take a few notes, picking up my notebook I searched for my pen but couldn't find it, finally I asked the boy who sat beside me if he had a spare luckily he did, and I smiled politely at him.

Damon POV

I glanced at the crowd searching for the familiar face among the crowd and I finally spotted her at the middle row, and she gazed at me attentively until she pulled out her notebook and searched for her pen, I curled up my lips and stared at the confused look on her face before she finally got a pen from the boy who sat beside her, she smiled at him sweetly and the boy also reciprocated the smile, and I wondered what kind of relationship they had for them to smile at each other,the class ended, and I would have liked to find out more about her, but there was emergency with an oversea branch, so I headed for the airport where the private jet and the pilot waited for me.

 After the plane took off I felt something in my breast pocket and I pulled out the pen from my pocket, it seems this is the only souvenir from our brief meeting, I thought. Until we meet again beautiful stranger.

 Back at the university Quinn headed for the last of her classes for the day and at noon while in the cafeteria having a hearty meal which she relished in, the university cafeteria was Quinn's favorite place after the gym, the university offered numerous food option for it's students which fitted into everyone food preference, suddenly an idea bubbled in Quinn's head and taking out her notepad and the pen she bought before getting into the cafeteria she wrote down her idea and in the upcoming days Quinn formulated a business plan while preparing for the test professors kept dropping like a bombshell.

Quinn wrote her tests and was confident in her work, while something else seemed to bother her. Inside her dorm Quinn stared at the black card she had forgotten about until yesterday and her phone, she finally picked up her phone and checked her contact for her grandma phone number.

 When they were reunited with her maternal family grandma made sure we all had each other contacts as if scared we would run away.

 The phone was answered, and then she heard her grandma voice on the other end, "Quinn darling" she heard her grandma call her." why do you call at such late hours". "It's about the card you gave me", I told her. " What about it" she asked. " I want to use it", I said.

Go ahead and use it, grandma's calm voice spoke on the other end.

 "lets be partners" ,I briskly said . you, grandpa and I lets be partners and with this I briefed her on my idea and immediately she agreed . could you get someone to draft the contract and we will sign it when next we had gathered , i said and the call ended.
